It's utterly magnetic when a character's rage is quiet and precise. When they don't scream and throw things but they just b r e a t h e and very very calmly aim their fury like an arrow shooting inexorably towards the target of their wrath. I know white people especially struggle with this concept but like when a Palestinian, or any other group of Black or brown people are calling you in and making a general statement about the state of the allyship for our causes, and making criticism of common behaviours or whatever else, that is NOT an invitation for you to confess your own shortcomings or your journey of self-improvement. Especially not under our posts. Make your own post if you really feel like it. But we don't need to hear your personal story of how you ignored our long-standing genocide until you saw enough people doing the right thing and you decided to follow. Keep that to yourself.

These posts are meant for you to REFLECT ON YOURSELF! BY YOURSELF! QUIETLY! And decide on your OWN what part of your behaviours you can identify being criticized in these posts and fix them!! And if you need help you can ask a question without necessarily giving us all the details of how you used to be ignorant or whatever. We're not here to hand out forgiveness we're trying to help coordinate and organize people to be more cohesive and we're giving you tips to be better allies. We're not giving you counciling for white guilt!!!

Maybe this is just me but I am really surprised that 2023 was the first time a lot of people heard about Palestine because 2021 was when settlers tried expelling Palestinians from their homes in Sheikh Jarrah - this then escalated to the IOF attacking Palestinians in Al Aqsa and throughout the country (almost 300 Palestinians in Gaza were killed and thousands were injured) - there were massive protests all over the world in response. 2021 really laid the foundations for everything that is happening now but it surprises me how little people actually mention the uprising then or were even aware it was happening.

No one is discrediting the student protests. I myself am a student who is partaking in largely student-coordinated protests, drives, campaigns… but I also understand that we are largely missing the point if coverage of these protests overshadows what they are actually protesting for—the atrocities committed on Palestinians every single day. As the western buzz around this genocide gets more and more coverage, the coverage of the genocide itself sharply declines. It’s true and I see it every single day. Things are not being reported with the precision and diligence they should be.

Palestinians: Joe Biden has the blood of thousands of Palestinians on his hands. I will never support a genocidal monster like him.

Rhaenys Targaryen, "The Queen that Never Was".

( Get ready for a lot of Targaryens in this series because there are almost no other important characters. ) Princess Rhaenys, married to Corlys Velaryon, is the cousin of King Viserys I Targaryen. She was passed over as her father's Heir in the prologue. Her loss sets the precedent that complicates the future succession scramble (the plot of the show). Her gown is based on Byzantine fashion but exaggerated for style points. She is dressed in light teals and whites of her husband's House with wave patterns and lots of pearls. I hope to make pearls a much bigger thing for the Velaryons in general. My aim was to have her be exceptionally regal, but without the show's awkward bumpit crown thing. (Also she is supposed to have black hair but the show ignores that bit so... we are rolling with Targaryen silver.)
