Erik wakes up in 1962 after dying in an unknown, post-apocalyptic future. Waiting for him is an oblivious, delighted Charles, who has no idea that Erik has come from another time. Realizing he has another chance, Erik takes steps to ensure things won’t happen the same way a second time. Their first time is different from what he remembers.

Part of a larger story that’s currently being written by the wonderful CassiCat. Erik dies and ends up going back in time, to find that he can do it all over again. He’s pretty determined not to fuck up. So of course, they have sex.

I think Charles is the type of person who lounges around naked all the time in his apartment, which isn't a problem for anyone except Erik who almost falls to his death one day when he's windowcleaning because holy fuck does that guy have Mjolnir between his thighs or what because Erik sure feels thunderstruck. Little does he know Charles purposefully leaves the blinds open for sexy windowcleaner guy. Charles also writes cute messages on the windows. Or just masturbate. That too.

Erik lowers his metal grate platform down with his powers, water sloshing gently in his buckets and making his squeegees tap lightly against the sides. The breeze is crisp today, cold air buffeting him as he carefully keeps his platform from knocking against the tall glass windows that make up the entire outside of the building he’s hanging off of, granting nothing less but full panoramic views for the city’s wealthiest citizens.

He gets himself situated in front of the first set of windows, making sure his cable cords are taut and secure. The top floor penthouse apartment is his favorite unit to clean, solely because of the fact that its extremely hot inhabitant is fond of walking around completely naked and completely heedless of Erik’s staring eyes. Erik would feel more creepy about it, except - he knows the guy knows he’s there. It’s hard to miss a window washer who spends at least 45 minutes every Tuesday circling the outside of your apartment to clean your windows. Clearly he likes putting on a show, and Erik’s not about to turn this one down.

I may be following the wrong Tumblrs, here.

I am feeling blocked on writing DOFP fic, because I came away from the movie wanting to write ALL THE REUNION FIC, EVER, and I feel like all the meta I’m seeing can be summed up as “Charles can do no wrong, Erik can do no right, and Charles should never talk to Erik again.”

So if you are out there and you feel like there is room in the fandom for the Erik Is Traumatized From Being Underground fic or the The Last Half Of The Movie Didn’t Even Go That Way fic or the Erik Is Sorry And Says So And Charles Sleeps With Him fic and the Erik Needs Hugs Too fic and the Erik And Charles Get Back Together fic, say something!  I really really need to know you’re out there.

(This also applies to Erik/Raven shippers, btw — if there’s room out there for the Erik And Raven In 1962-3 fic or the What Do You Mean She Was, We Were fic or the What If Erik And Charles Really Had Come To Get Her Together fic, or anything that doesn’t require Erik to be the punching bag of the fic, I really really need to know you’re out there, too.)

In the meantime, great big apologies to anybody who really can’t forgive Erik for DOFP, but I am just feeling so down about my beautiful fandom lately that I think I need to start unfollowing people.  Don’t take it personally!  I just need to get my fannish enthusiasm back, and I get really easily discouraged by negative posts and I just haven’t seen positive posts about Erik.  And I need to move away from negativity and toward positivity, so I’m going to be going in that direction for the foreseeable future.
