This show is consistently thoughtless in a way the writers refuse to learn from. for example the reintroduction of the specific joke where someone lumps paintbrush in with a gendered group, they clarify theyre nonbinary, someone acknowledges this, and then the scene moves on; if im correct this joke was first meant to be how they originally came out in the show and was replaced with the scene we got today. theres nothing wrong with that, but it does mean the inclusion of this same joke in s3 causes us to have characters that still misgender paintbrush after theyve been openly nonbinary for quite a while, which is a very odd trait to add to your cast of characters without meaning to. i don't think this makes said characters canonically harmful in that way, i think its just a very good example of the specific type of ignorance we see pop up in the show from time to time, solely because someone on the staff didn't want to let go of this very specific joke for some reason with no thought onto how it would reflect on the cast with the current status quo.

My thesis is, this show has very poor hindsight.

By the way i did actually watch the most recent invitational ep and i disliked it so heavily that i dont even want to get into why, itd be so much negativity that i really do feel guilty. i made a post that included context from the ep before id seen it though so i wanted to do an update and say i did in fact watch it and oh boy. you all know though i dont even gotta elaborate anyway

Have you seeeeeeeeen... Web (walk-cycles epic blender) by finny dalmos? Because it's truly an underrated gem and if you havent seen it I HIGHLY reccomend it :D

I'm up to date now o7 i like the yogurt's design and the asset for the coffee pot and coal is good. and i also find walk cycle funny :-) i like that the host and contestants are all the same level of huffy towards each other its an amusing vibe
