My Mini Maternity Sessions can be fun way to announce the gender of your baby, or even the pregnancy itself!

These are short and simple sessions that offer the chance to create images with a single outfit and backdrop but any props that you’d like to include. The Easter Photo Shoot Set is Almost Ready for Booking

My Easter photo shoots will be back in the studio on Sunday March 17th and the set is coming together beautifully (if I do say so myself!)

I’ve gone full on egg themed as you can see and it’s pretty as a picture now I’ve got all of the bits and pieces that I need.  These sessions are mini session which means we are in the studio for 10 to 15 minutes to capture a great gallery of Easter themed images.  The sessions are suitable for up to two children at an age at which they can sit up by themselves.  These sessions are not suitable for very small children who require support when sitting or might need extra settling times.Sessions include the images and cost £30 and the calendar will be open for booking from February 1st. Happy New Year - Welcome 2024!

Happy New Year to everyone! This year, Sarah Fisher Photography is celebrating the milestone of turning 10 years old – a fact for which I am equally excited and grateful!

Self Care is Important

Especially as we head into the colder months of winter, I read more about how important self care for our mental health.

It’s undeniably true and you’re never too young to start as this tiny lady is proving.  There’s always time in your day to carve out a few minutes to simply relax and be in the moment – maybe even throw in a few pampering spa treatments to help things along!My baby spa prop set does require a pretty settled baby in order to make it work but luckily this girl had tapped into her zen for her photo shoot so it worked like a dream. Welcome to December and to our Cover Star!

Well it’s December 1st and, along with opening advent calendars, it’s now acceptable to say that Christmas has begun!

So to kick us off in style is my Cover Star of the Month – Maxwell.  I can’t begin to tell you how much fun I had creating this mini Elf styled photo shoot with him and he really got into character!Maxwell has been coming to see me at the studio since he was just a few weeks old but in fact I met his mum and dad years before when I was lucky enough to photograph their wedding and so I knew him well enough to know he’d be perfect for the part and I sure wasn’t disappointed! Christmas Prop Set - Popular in November

Unsurprisingly, this is my most commonly requested prop set in November for those folk who are visiting and want to add a little touch of festive to their photo shoot.

I’ve already seen an impressive range of Christmas outfits and I can’t wait to see more as the month goes on.  The next two weekends are my Christmas photo shoot events and so I’ll be in full festive mode at this point.  When these are finished, the complete sets go back into storage but this little prop set will still be available to include. If you're Happy and you Know it...

Learning a new skill is exciting at any age but this guy is really enraptured with clapping, and he’s very good at it so that’s fair enough!

He simply lit up when he was showing off his applause skills and that’s true of a lot of babies – when they’ve mastered something new, they are super proud and excited to show it off.  Sometimes, that can be a great way to settle babies that aren’t feeling super confident in the new environment of the studio.  For example, when a baby can stand supported, sometimes I get them to pose for their photos that way if they’re not feeling very happy.  Concentrating on their new achievement and also the praise they get for it is a real confident boost and once we’ve got this nailed, then it’s easier to move on through the rest of the session. All the Ducks - All the Fun!

So if the Boho Vintage style isn’t your thing (and I posted one example of a tub splash set up in this vein earlier this week) then I think this would count as it’s polar opposite.

This set up features my miniature white roll top bath and my ever popular duck accessory set.  It’s actually a mash up of two accessory sets as it also features the ‘Splish Splash’ sign – which is a commonly requested added in and the turquoise and yellow work really well together!When you come to visit, you can pick from a choice of backdrops, tubs and accessories to create the perfect look for your photos! It was the very best of the spooky season at this year’s Halloween mini photo shoot event – set in the Bone Yard!

Pumpkin Patch Photo Shoots - Over for 2023

Much fun was had at this year’s Pumpkin Patch photo shoots – so much fun in fact that Studio Dog had to join in as well!

This year’s set was one of my favourites – I always love the Pumpkin Patch sets as it’s such a gorgeous colour palette to work with – as I’d added in some sunflowers as well for good measure.  I know that this might not be entirely seasonally accurate but hey, it was super pretty which is mostly what I care about!Everyone dressed to perfect with autumnal shades and I can’t wait to do it all again with a brand new set next year.  I have events running in the studio all the year long to celebrate special occasions so just check out the events page to see what’s going on! Snow Globe Photo Shoots - Back from November 1st

These photo shoots will be back from November 1st 2023!

They’ll be available to book in the studio from November 1st to December 10th 2023.  These sessions are open to up to two children and they’re literally a five minute visit to the studio to create the base image with the rest of the work to create your perfect Christmas card image taking place back at my desk.  Your finished image will be back with you within five days ready for you to order your cards or make it into the perfect Christmas gift.Sessions cost £20 including the image at print resolution. Newborn Smiles to Start the Week!

Let’s start the week with some positive vibes as modelled by this adorable little guy – smiling away in his sleep at his recent newborn photo shoot.

Of course there is no way to guarantee smiles at your photo shoot but I’m pretty good at spotting when they are likely to happen so I’ll always catch them if I can. Some babies are sneaky and wait til I have my back turned or my camera out of reach but this guy was feeling very generous with them so his mum and dad will have plenty to choose from! Introducing New Acrylic Cake Toppers

Introducing a brand new type of cake topper that you can order in advance of your cake smash photo shoot!

Designed to be more resilient than the normal paper versions, you can reuse these on your baby’s actual birthday cake and they make a lovely keepsake of the occasion. Elegant Maternity Photo Shoot

This is a beautiful example of a very elegant mum-to-be who visited the studio recently. She brought along her own dress for the shoot (I wish this was in my collection though!) and we just kept things simple.

We included pictures with her partner and her daughter, plus some of her on her own.  A great gallery of images to celebrate all aspects of her pregnancy and her family before the newest arrival makes an appearance.Maternity photography at my studio is a very flexible affair, you can create any style of images that you’d like. If you’d like to remain fully clothed in your own outfits, then that’s no problem.  I have a range of maternity dresses that you can select from to include in your shoot if you’d like to or of course you are welcome to create partially nude images.  Whatever your comfort levels are, we can create beautiful images to celebrate your bump. Newborn Hands and Feet

This little shot is a really popular one when it comes to newborn photo shoots and it will work just as well at other small baby shoots if you’ve missed the newborn window.

Many parents want to be involved in their newborn pictures but also don’t feel enitrely camera ready.  My advice would be to do it anyway and you might want to look back on those very first days as a family and it’s a no-risk scenario as, the worst thing that can possibly happen is that you don’t like the pictures. The solution to that is super simple – you never have to look at them again – and so I think it’s a chance worth taking.However, I get that you might fancy it so including a shot like this is a great way to be in the photos without having any stress! Mermaid Photo Shoot - Christmas Gift!

If you have a little mermaid in your family and you’re looking for the perfect Christmas gift for them then I think I might have the answer for you!

A mermaid photo shoot gift certificate will let them create a piece of beautiful art for their wall featuring them in mermaid form.The actual session is very simple as the goal here is to capture the perfect image to be transformed later on into a beautiful mermaid.  I provide the mermaid tail, bikini top and  a choice of headdress for use at the sesssion.  Although we don’t actually need the tail as we’ll be blending your mermaid into a digitally enhanced tail, I am a firm believer that you should always wear a mermaid tail if the opportunity presents itself.The session takes between ten and fifteen minutes, we chat about mermaids, have some fun, take some photos so I have plenty of options to work with back in my editing suit and then you’re on your way.The real work goes on back in my office where your little one is mermaidised (yep, pretty sure that’s a word) and you’ll be able to download your print quality artwork from your gallery about a week after your session – all ready for printing, framing, and admiring. Baby Photography - Recreations

These two images were taken a few years apart of two sisters who’ve been going through the Joey Club baby photography club sessions.

At each session, we have been having fun recreating some of the images that we took the first time round along with her very own original content.  When it comes to recreations in the studio, we can’t ever replicate a photo exactly but, because I’m a bit of a hoarder, I still have a lot of the props and accessories so we can set things up the same and pay homage to our earlier image.
