ava is so aware of janine at all times shes constantly commenting how she doesnt want janine around yet is giving janine her undivided attention whenever they encounter eachother and is always speculating about janine and thinking janine is pregnant multiple times insisting hiring people the least like janine in the world and remembering janine didnt turn in her lanyard (something most ppl keep anyways) i could go on but like???? ava what is ur deal?????

One thing i really like about abbott elementary is that they didn't stretch Avas incompetence as a principal across the seasons just for comic relief. They had her take classes to obtain the background necessary for her position and i appreciate that so much!
Because it shows once again how capable Black women are, and that ignorance isnt a necessity/prerequisite for comedy. Ava is still funny, just a little🤏🏾 less wild and less insecure about her own skills.

don't make it weird || avanine
summary: flirty! ava and a oblivious! janine. but ava can't handle it if janine starts to flirt back.
it had been months since the whole fiasco with ava and gregory ended, well more like ava harasing gregory every day, but it all ended weirdly, and slowly went to janine. as the teacher's say it, minus gregory, janine, and ava.
"i'm telling you guys, something weird is going on with ava and janine." jacob says, from the other table, as the other teachers looked at him. they always suspected but they didn't bother to care or speak up about it.
"i mean you guys heard what ava said to janine, this morning, right?" jacob added, taking a bite from his sandwich.
"so that means you're on top." janine ever so innocently says to ava. "damn you freaky girl. but i'd tap that." ava said to janine before she walked away, laughing at her own "joke" "wha-?"
"and janine meant that she was on top of the event. so everything practically goes through her. and plus she was on top of the sign just like ava asked her." jacob blurted out, which left the teachers wandering, but then ava comes bursting in with janine.
"girl, don't walk away for me." ava remarked, as she and janine were just fighting about a certain prop that wasn't safe, and the worst thing is that they're fighting like a couple, ava giving janine the cold shoulder, while janine tries to make them up.
"ava you don't understand, i'm trying my best here." janine says, trying to keep a smile for the cameras. "i know, duh. but you aren't trying enough, we need to make this a- ava level of fun." ava winks at the camera, which didn't go unnoticed by janine as she sighed and looked at ava, grabbing her mug of coffee.
"and what is this ava level of fun?" she sighed yet again, drinking coffee out of the mug, less sweeter than ava's cup of mug, as ava like to pour all of the sugar, while janine likes it in the middle of sweetness.
"and does this ava level of fun, meaning to have to go over budget? again." janine looked directly on camera, then as if on cue, ava opened the door for herself, but janine walked past her. "well no-maybe." ava defended herself, but both janine and ava knew that it did mean going over budget, again.
so when break rolled by, no camera's no distraction, just as the teachers was getting used to someone not interviewing them ever five seconds they came back. nothing really changed, but ava going to "harvard" was one of the things that changed, also her rules became more stricter, not that there was any rules to start with, except for no sex in school, unless ava breaks it first.
but she also weirdly became more serious, maybe on hopes to distract her from something, perhaps janine?
the teachers started wondering what could have possibly pulled ava away from her obsession over gregory. obsession is a weird word, but a perfect one at that to express on what really went on with ava and gregory. no one really knew, except ava. and mr johnson, since he knows everything. and the cctv cameras.
other than ava obviously hiding something shown in the cctv, mr johnson took a peek, and he saw ava and janine talking about what happened in the club's bathroom. hookah bar night.
maybe ava didn't really spit out that cheap vodka for gregory, maybe it was janine all along, maybe. but we don't know, what could have possibly went through ava's mind at the time.
so now were all back at abbott, including the camera's. everything's back to normal, except for the very strict rules that ava put on the teachers, making them hardly have some fun during work. so they had to distract her, bring her back to her old self, and as much as the teachers hated it, they missed old ava.
so they had gregory flex his arms out to ava, surely it would make her crack. but all that was left was a very embarrassed gregory. but they had one more trick up their sleeves. janine.
now, janine isn't a very experienced flirt-er, cons of being in a relationship for roughly ten years. now ava couldn't relate, she changes partners as fast as melissa's kids could read. so she was an expert at it. though only going soft flirting on janine, afraid she would break. oh, herself not janine. well it goes both ways, just like ava. but you didn't hear that from me.
so janine unbuttoned a few buttons like melissa told her, put her hair into a messy bun, just like how barbara instructed her, and walked in there with confidence, just like how jacob taught her. well more struted in there, swaying her hips like melissa taught her.
"hey can i help-" and when ava looked up, needless to say she was stunned, never seeing janine look that way. "sure, you could help me with something." janine says, having a hard time sitting on top of her desk, but managing. "don't worry. it's nothing much. just grading a few papers?" janine asked, as she leaned over, exposing her cleavage to ava, while pointing at the papers.
"well i can help you with that." ava said, walking over to janine, taking some of the papers, only like four. "and now, miss teagues. this is not the right place or time to be acting like that." ava bit her lip, as ava buttoned a few buttons but not enough to fully cover janine up. "but i know a place and time."
janine furiously blushed at that, and quite quickly, "seven pm, at my place. don't make it weird. because that's the perfect time and place." just the way that janine looked at her with direct contact, was enough to have ava internally screaming and having butterflies inside her stomach. man she was down bad for janine, and she, herself didn't even know.
then janine got the confidence to pull her into a quick but chaste kiss, her hands cupped ava's cheek, as ava had no time to react to it, before she pulled away. "you'll get more of that later." janine went up on her tip toes, just to whisper that into her ear, her hot breath enough to make ava's knees go soft. but she had to keep her self intact.
"thanks but that won't work. but i'll look forward for more of that." ava winked as janine walked away, but she took a lil tap of janine's ass, it was surely turning into another gregory situation. janine walked out of the office, seeming like the effect of her confidence wearing off, and wrapping her shwol around her, avoiding the cameras.
"my, my, janine and ava in one room. so much, sinning." barbara grimaced, not the fact that they were two girls the fact that it's ava and janine. then melissa smirked, "please even one night or two nights with them, couldn't compete with pesca year '93." melissa chuckled, revealing a drunken night with both of them. while jacob just looked at the camera, awkwardly.
"well it's not a competition." barbara knew how much sinning there was that night, but i guess it isn't sinning if she enjoyed it, most certainly melissa. jacob just continued to stare into the camera awkwardly.
"needless to say, janine and ava surely had a sin-lustful night. and that's episode four of the abbott life." jacob announced in the mic. "so how was that?" he asked both janine and ava, of course consent of posting first.
"that was g-grea-" ava cut janine off, "that was crap." she chuckled, "and also tmi much? but you can post it." ava smiled proudly, "i better get money off of that." she added before leaving the room. "it-it was great jacob, but, maybe less information?" janine said, smiling, her positive can do attitude showing, "sugarplum!" her girlfriend of two weeks called out for her outside the door. "c-coming, aves." janine said, rushing to the door.
when janine said that, ava looked at the camera and winked, making it double meaning. as soon as she left the room, she was met by a kiss on the cheek. "what-what was that for?" janine asked, holding her cheek, as she blushed. "just because kisses." ava shrugged, "why? don't you like it? i swear to god ja-" janine cut her girlfriend off with a quick kiss on the lips.
"i do. i like them." janine smiled, hooking her hair behind her ear, like school girl talking to her crush. "well that's good you know i'm not used to being sweet in public." ava fixed her dress, but as janine held her hand, they were met with soft 'awhhs' coming from the dor behind them. from gregory and jacob.
"fuck off jacob." ava said, flipping the man off. "you too gregory.
the end!! obviously they lived happily ever, obviously. or if you guys want not?
the a/n: again, it was complete utter shit. but they're my babies so? looks like i'm gonna be active in tumblr again, yay! i do not do consistent posting, why? school. also not prof read!!
