still stuck on the idea of matty learning he has a belly kink while growing a bit of a belly himself

this is only the beginning

thinking of matty with a starter belly. a soft muffin top sitting atop his waistband with little loves handles beginning make pants harder to button. just enough pudge for him to squish between his fingers. he notices he’s grown a bit of a tummy. probably from sharing dense, fatty meals with his bulking selkie boyfriend. he really didn’t need the bigger portion sizes either, but he couldn’t resist that comfortable, sleepy haze that came after stuffing himself with delicious, calorie-rich foods. little does he know that his pants are only going to get tighter and buttons will no longer fasten. that he’s going to slowly fall in love with his expanding figure, only wanting it to grow bigger and bigger, enjoying himself getting knocked into one comfortable food coma after another.

it starts happening every so often: a cup of heavy cream before bed.

graeme had mentioned it helped better than milk for sleep. matty gave it a go and it worked! something about the thick, warm liquid settling in his tummy made matty’s eyes droop. each cup of the stuff made him sleep like a rock. so of course he starts asking for it more often, eventually begging graeme to add something sweeter to cream to improve the taste. a tall mug of rich and creamy hot chocolate soon becomes part of the routine. he’s learned if he can drink it fast enough he can feel the warm cream slosh around in his stomach while he settles into bed. it’s been a few weeks now and all it takes is three big gulps to finish it off.

one night after downing his nightly cocoa, matty asks,

“hey babe? do you think these pants are getting tighter?”

graeme looks down. the elastic band of matty’s plaid pajama bottoms digs into his waist, leaving a small muffin top and pair of love handles.

“why do you say that?” graeme asks as if he wasn’t the one with his hands all over that growing, cream-filled belly every night.

“i dunno…i just feel like this—” matty lightly jumps in place, gesturing toward the jiggly layer of fat around his waist. “—wasn’t here a month ago.”

a tinge of pink spreads across graemes cheeks. “nah.” he smirks. “they must have shrunk in the wash or something.”

I have a huge soft spot characters with non-human attributes and love seeing the different scenarios that can come from it (like Graeme's seal-like gaining pattern) so I was immediately interested in your characters.

time for bunny graeme

So do either Matty or Graeme have/keep any more animal or monster-like behaviours when in a human form? Like seals taking naps and lazing around after feeding to give their body time to digest before going to the next meal.

Either way I think they both look absolutely adorable and cannot wait to see more of them <3

you hit the nail on the head with Graeme. whenever this guy eats a ton, he needs to nap it off or at least get cozy on the couch or bed or else he’ll get cranky and uncomfortable. he pats and rubs his belly a lot after eating. In fact, I think I’m going to incorporate that into my own selkie culture…like it’s custom to show you enjoyed the meal by patting your tummy. :]

since matty is a dragon guy, i kinda incorporate typical dragon qualities as well as reptilian and feline traits because dragons are just big scaly kitties to me. his silly ears twitch when trying to hear something and go “airplane mode” when frustrated or angry. he likes to “nest” when sleeping and curls up in a bunch of blankets and pillows. also tbh i think him purring or “dooking” like a ferret when happy is super cute.

and you know what seals and lizards have in common? loving to sunbathe

graeme has the effect of a sleeping cat where being close to him infects you with sleepy guy disease. matty is suffering from the most coziest naps. too bad these two snore horribly lmao
