"It's nothing, I was being silly." Desmond waved her off, it's not like he was completely innocent after all, he had his fun as well.
"What about me and Midnight? Yagi considers you a friend to, that's not too many people but it's still people- and that might increase later, who knows." Still thinking about that fearful day brought a sense of calm and pride, Desmond was born to be a hero, he'd give a small smile. "No need to worry, a baker always bounces back after all." Des smiled with her hands on his face.
"What other ways?" Des would accept the kiss to his lips realizing what she meant, oooh <3- His tail would wag in response.
“Well, alright. Though I’m still not sure what’s wrong.” She gave him the opportunity to talk about it if he wanted to.
“I don’t really have people I’d consider friends. Most of my clients don’t ask about my past either - I assume they aren’t interested.” Pe didn’t mind this. She was more interested in learning about them anyway. She cradled his face. “I’m so glad you didn’t walk away from that with worse.” How he got it made her sad - poor younger Desmond & that heartbreaking event.
The teacher leaned into him, feeling comforted. “I don’t mind enjoying life in other ways.” She gave him a full kiss on his lips then backed away, smiling up at him a little.

Desmond would nod at her statement. "Yeah that's how I use it, sometimes a villain will smell like blood even if invisible or there's a trap in the room....or a slaughter pit....again..." Despite his tone his smile never fades, weather it's plastered on because it's his default expression or he's masking the pain, you may never know.
"I got fangs too, and nigh vision, and yes I've. uh bitten villains to get away from them." The look on his face, his gaze not meeting Elizabeth's showed that he probably also bit people because he's also a bit chaotic. "And unless someone has a light based quirk my eyes are normally fine."
Des had to think for a moment though cause he knew a couple of father son electricians who loved the trill, he snickered to himself imagining them with his quirk. Still if he had train that be a cool trade off.
"Hm?" Des would catch the water and the square shaped object- Kal-li scanning it for any poisons and traces of things in it. "Oh food and water? I had lunch an hour ago but if it makes you feel better." Des would keep the water and snap off the water bottle on his belt, orange smoothie on it, and take a big gulp of it. Then take some blueberries out his pack too. "My doctor wants me to stop eating so much candy..." He'd gulp a handful down and keep the water and the box shaped thing to munch on later.
"I only pass out when I get a building dropped on me, or I gotta talk to a pretty girl." He was talking about Eliza of course.
"Heightened senses? I haven't thought about it, but that could actually be pretty beneficial. There are many people who get into unfortunate situations due to their lack of situational awareness. Even something like smelling blood can help other people detect if somebody is hurt."
Elizabeth made sure to jot down the traits his quirk had, and crossed out those she needed to remove for the safety of all parties involved. Nobody needed claws, might as well offer the public free knives at that point.
"Immunity to blunt damage is very useful. I'm sure electricians would certainly appreciate a far less risky job."
Waltzing over to a nearby desk, the researcher pulled out a bottle of water and some square shaped package. Both were tossed to him.
"If I am going to draw your blood, you should drink and eat something. The last thing I want is to have you feeling lightheaded or god forbid passing out."

"Visit...huh...." At that statement he hung his head low, dreads hiding his eyes. He'd then slowly raise his head towards the skylight. "If only that were possible..." They could come here, which wasn't very often but the had that option, unlike him. He was stuck here, not that he didn't enjoy U.A and his new classmates, but he hasn't spent too much time with them as he'd wish, when he talk with them he'd see another friend, when he train he'd think of someone else. He also felt like he was missing out on life.
"Sorry you go through that as well...I also miss...there's this girl-I never got to tell her how I feel; and now with this distance and everything I feel like that ship has sailed. What if I can never go back home, I miss my friends, my grandparents, and aunt and uncles and my best friend!" He'd step forward as the line moves, luckily it was a fast moving line.
Desmond listened to her plight patiently, nodding along with her statements. He walked up to the counter. "I'd like a cone for me and my friend here." Strawberry and Mint chip for Des. "Why not tell me about it? Try me." Des asked, maybe he understand and could articulate his own feelings on the matter.
He was homesick, that's why he seemed to be low-spirited and hoping not to run into someone he knows while out at the mall. At least he felt comfortable enough to share how he was feeling with her, hopefully she'll be able to help him feel a bit better. Or at least she'll do her best to help cheer him up! Even if she can get a genuine smile out of him she'll take that as a tiny victory.
"No, no not bothering me at all, Desmond" Leia nodded, giving him a smile hoping to put him at ease. "I'm also in no rush so I'm perfectly fine standing in line behind you and-oh!" She flushed slightly embarrassed he heard her stomach rumble and quickly changed the subject to hide her embarrassment. "I'm also sure you could go visit them during break sometime, yes?" She tilted her head slightly to the side not sure if he's able to do that by how he was talking.
"I know talking with people on the phone, either on call or with video isn't quite the same as having them in the room with you... But um! It is still nice we are able to keep in touch with our family and friends that way. Even with the long distance between us. Though... time zones can be a bit of a pain" A chuckle escaped as it is something she's used to dealing with since she was a child as her parents go all over the world months at a time.
Leia paused at what he asked her next, noticing right away the sad smile on his face while admitting his current feelings.
"Mmm... I have yes." She wasn't about to lie after he felt comfortable enough share his thoughts with her, it's better to let those kinds of emotions out and not bottle them up inside. It's still something she's struggling with herself, trying not to let that bottled up emotions get so full it bursts.
"Thankfully not nearly as often as I did before, but um... I'm not sure if it's exactly the same feeling your currently have?" For herself it was more of not feeling like she belonged, not feeling like she deserved to be with all these amazing people and their quirks. Making her own not seem to be as useful, which is completely untrue as it's just as amazing as everyone else's.

"I guess so, I'm pretty fast and it gives me better senses than most, like I can smell blood before I see it or if I'm in a building with running water hear it like It was in the room with me. As for stamina, I don't kiss and tell." He joked, partially before continuing. "I've always had a ton of energy, even before I unlocked my quirk so I assume I was just born with good energy reserves." He explained to the best of his abilities, so she could understand his level of understanding his powers.
"So being Rubber and a lion's given me some weird advantages in combat. I got some useless...or rather, untapped moves thanks to my lion genetics, like I don't know what to do with my claws, heroes aren't really allowed to do too much damage to people; and these are sharp. And my roar, lions can paralyze and deafen people- but I can only do damage with it in giant form- but well I run the risk of damaging innocents. So I don't get to use it often." It was clear on his face he used it and hurt someone he cared about and refuses to use it further.
"But on the other hand, Punching doesn't hurt, or lightning- but fire and ice do." Even with the contingencies in his outfits, it was something he had to be wary of.
The monitor hummed pleasantly. The weights began to gradually decrease until there was nothing left, signaling the end of the examination.
Power of belief, power of friendship... blah blah.
What a happy-go-lucky fella. Elizabeth silently discarded half of what he said, and gave a little more focus to the last bit. Lion quirk? That piece of information was going to be especially important when poking around with the idea of keeping the strength aspect and dropping the tail part.
"Does that lion aspect of your quirk also effect your speed and stamina?"
