probably my favorite thing abt queer eye is when jonathan just says whatever the hell words he wants in whatever order and snaps his fingers and then somehow i’m still like babe… i GET IT

cops on Queer Eye:

are openly tr*mp supporters with a MAGA hat that they let the fab 5 find

their idea of a prank is pulling over a gay black man for no reason and scaring him into thinking he’s about to be brutalized by the police or even killed with his friends clearly expressing their concern for him to even get out of the car when the cop asked

when Karamo tries to tell them that it wasn’t funny to try that kind of joke in the current political climate the cop tries to switch it to a “but not all cops are bad cops and we get discriminated against too” conversation 

firefighters on Queer Eye:

try to raise money with a community fundraiser to properly train other firefighters 

let the fab 5 hose them down in wet t-shirt contest

let Jonathan give them a little spa day with foot soaking and face masks

take dance classes for said fundraiser and even willingly learn a couple Magic Mike dance moves

their idea of a prank is to startle Tan with an exploding pen

the hot white one let’s Karamo crush all over him and call him Superman the whole time without any hesitation

I have an aversion to tumblr because I’m much better at tweeting. The character limit puts pressure on me and I perform much better under pressure. Anyway, I have the pleasure of seeing you with my lovely girlfriend Dana at night one of Metlife. I’ll also be there night three with my friend Annie. But I’m very excited to show my girlfriend where I’m at my happiest because she’s never seen you before – and has also never seen me go quite as wild before, so I hope she keeps me around after that… But it’s a really big deal to me that I get to take my GIRLFRIEND to something so special to me. I thought I’d never have the chance. Not because I thought I’d be alone forever (okay, yeah, that), but because I really struggled with my sexuality for a long time. A LONG time. Even at the 1989 tour, I was still struggling. “Boys & boys and girl & girls” used to make my eyes well up and made my chest tight. Now, I’m finally free from that. My heart swells when I hear that lyric because since then, I’ve moved to New York and started to work in the music industry and have a beautiful girlfriend (the shorter, infinitely more beautiful inside and out, darker haired girl, by the way); all things I thought were eternally out of reach.
I would not have made it through anything without music. So many people say that, and that’s because it’s true. It’s always present and always the same and always there to grab onto when your last thread is about to snap. And my thread has snapped many times, but you caught me. Thank you for catching me, even if I didn’t feel like I wanted to be caught.
