Caretaker gently touching whumpees thigh under the table, letting them know that their discomfort isn’t being ignored

Caretaker holding onto whumpees bicep, keeping them steady under the guise of a meaningless touch

Caretaker rubbing small circles on whumpees back as they cough or get sick, giving them a bit of comfort through the violence of their illness

Caretaker playing with whumpees sweaty hair, feeling their fever-warm skin and holding them close

Caretaker whispering small words of encouragement, little “shh”s and “it’s okay, it’s okay”s under their breath as whumpee cries, because they just don’t feel well

Whumpee collapsing into caretakers arms as they sob, because they’ve never felt this loved through such small actions

A went out to a Christmas market date with B, despite feeling miserable. They have a dull, pounding headache and a lump of barbed wire in their throat, so swallowing and speaking hurts like hell.

So they spent the date muffling sniffles into their thick, woolen scarf, trying not to let on just how miserable they are, forcing out smiles for B, because yes, B is adorable and so sweet, but A's head feels like it's stuffed with cotton and they can't seem to follow whatever story B just told them.

B notices the slightly scratchy tone in A's voice, as well as the constant, wet sniffles and how A does not seem present in the moment, but turned inward into themselves, like a flower that refuses to open.

So B suggests to stop at a stall to get some mulled wine, which A gratefully agrees to, clinging to their cup as soon as they receive the hot beverage, soaking up its warmth.

Whatever plans B had for the rest of the evening, they decide to ditch them, because A shouldn't be out. A should be tucked in bed with a cup of tea, tissues, and a hot water bottle. And B just happens to have all of these things at home...

We love it when an injured character winces as they try (unsuccessfully) to sit up. It's a popular trope for a reason.

I would also like to draw your attention to when it hurts to lay down. Yes, they'll definitely be more comfortable lying down than sitting up, or maybe they're so exhausted they could barely stay upright even if they wanted to. But getting there? Maybe they have a friend there to help with an hand behind their back, maybe they have to lean on their arms and try to slowly ease themselves down without pulling or jarring anything too much. Either way though, there are winces and grimaces and sharp intakes of breath, and muscles shaking and tensing and maybe suddenly giving out on them. And at the end, finally sinking into the mattress or makeshift bed, their jaw is still clenched and eyes squeezed shut and breath coming in short gasps and body rigid for several moments afterward as they wait for the pain to fade away.

ik your ocs trauma have an impact on their character, but how would they be like, if they hadn't gone through that experience?

does your oc have similar tastes as you do? (music, art, fashion, coffee/tea etctetc)

will they "i only live once so I'll do it for the plot." or will they "i only live once ffs, i don't wanna die." ?

what is your ocs opinion of love? how is/was their love life on a scale of 1-10?

will your oc let go of someone precious to them when they know they're putting them at danger?

around whom does your oc lets their guard down?

are they romantically constipated or a hopeless romantic?

Being so wrap up in one another they forget about important bodily functions for example, hunger.

A has a cold that lingers. They've been ill for what feels like weeks at this point. The initial sympathy from those around them has tipped into irritation. The bless yous have turned into shut ups. Friends and colleagues go "you're annoying, you know" when they cough or sneeze, and they're only partly joking.

Everybody is so over it. Except for B. B is as sympathetic as they were when A first came down with this. B still asks "How are you feeling today?" in a concerned tone, blesses them very sweetly, offers tea and tissues... B will always care.
