Black Friday has a lot of good things going on, especially in the songs, but there's just A LOT happening. You have Lex+Hannah+Ethan's plot, Tom+Becky's plot, the Wiggly Cult plot, AND the US government plot, and that's a lot to juggle in the span of one show. It's a bit bloated and some things (i.e. Tom/Becky) don't feel as developed as they could have been.

in tgwdlm when Hidge tells the group to sing the beginning of moana, Paul is the only one who knows it. Like, they're all singing but Emma is joining halfway through each sentence and Ted is just jumping in with "ho ho" and Bill has made up an entirely new song.
it's actually really funny to watch them each individually so I captioned the video but also why does Paul know it???

i can not reccomend anything MORE than this show guys. if you like horror, satire, insane rock musicals with the most unbelievable tech youve ever seen, meta humor about the show not making sense, really dynamic characters, incredible physical comedy, one of the best musical theatre villains of all time (a 5 foot overpowered acrobatic belter nerdy unhinged demon girl who only speaks in puns and pops out of the cellar every 10 minutes) and so much blood and gore that the audience needs a splash zone, PLEASE god watch it.
ill admit it starts out kinda slow but soon as the demon thing happens it picks up FAST. to make up for that here are some other good things:
a song called “what the fuck was that”
absolutely INSANE set design with full moving parts
the main character has more chemistry with his best friend than either of his love interests
a talking taxidermy moose
many limbs getting chopped off. the main character does not have a hand for half the show.
a super dumb blonde character. a hillbilly in overalls. a mr cellophane-style demon that literally just jumps around for multiple scenes straight
a zombie demon disco dance number with a drum solo!!!!???
