may have to go hella incognito on letterboxd if when my life takes the turns i’m wanting it to take.
but that aside, i’m having so much fun over there.😌 i adore having a hub to log all the films i’ve ever watched or plan to watch. add to that being able to keep track of ratings, write reviews, and be in a vast, well-constructed cinephile community? oh i am LIVING.
interacting with the folks who make and/or star in the films i’m logging is also a delight. major inspo and fun recs are to be found from folks like ayo edebiri and martin scorcese (although his account seems to be more of a ghost account now). genuinely wish more celebs (those in film in particular) would reveal their accounts, though i def understand the need for anonymity. wouldn’t want a letterboxd critique to go over the wrong way and potentially cost you future jobs. wish it wasn’t that way though. art is subjective and open, honest, constructive critique should always be welcomed.
