Pregnant » The Mandalorian x F! Reader Imagines..
Imagine being pregnant, trying to hide your pregnancy from the Mandalorian out of uncertainty —
•In the beginning, the thought of having children wasn’t even something you’ve ever thought of. You were oblivious to the obvious signs of pregnancy. Mando would stop whatever he had been doing before and look at you, expectingly, to like tend to whatever was causing you to throw up like a bug.
•Not that he didn’t want to come but he always seem to have something better to do, job hunting or attending to bounty hunter matters and he wouldn’t have been much help as his status drew a lot of attention, being a Mandalorian and bounty hunter to top it off. So finally after receiving a blank stare from his helmet, along with a monotone remark you gave in and Mando nodded while you headed off the ship then went into town to search for a medic or doctor.
•Well, you were pregnant. Anybody could’ve figured it out, but you and Mando. At first you felt excitement, then anxiety, finishing it off with fear. Because bringing a child on board a ship with how much danger surrounded you two, and it didn’t even seem Mando wanted kids with how he was.
•You did probably what nobody in their right mind would’ve did in their right mind. Didn’t say anything, continued on living your daily lives while playing off your morning sickness as just a common bug and Mando believed you.
•So here you were, in the middle of nowhere in space on a ship. With your bounty hunter boyfriend, on a bounty hunter ship probably making the dumbest decision one could make but then again.. you were afraid.
•But the plan didn’t last long, Mando was getting onto the sickness. “(Y/N).” He turned to you while flying his ship, you in the co-pilot. “You’re not dying. Are you?” He asked, his tone flat but the way his body language shifted, you felt immediately guilty for withholding the truth.
•You didn’t know much Mando’a, but well you’ve tried to learn but didn’t go so well. But might as well go out with a bang. “I.. uh, birikad?” And the Mandalorian just froze and stared blankly at you, a moment passed and you just looked at your reflection. “A baby carrying harness.” This was awkward. The bounty hunter just slowly turned back to flying the ship.
•“I’m pregnant.” Mando didn’t react at first, he didn’t know how to, he understood what you were trying to say in the beginning but turned to like pretend he didn’t know because he wanted you to say it. Now that you did, a whirlwind of emotions went over him and his chest heavy and he didn’t realize he had been gripping the wheel. “Okay.” He responded, probably one of the blandest responses Mando could’ve answered with.
•You were about to start crying, but Mando had the ship go on autopilot and he turned his seat then approached you. Then attempted to comfort you, your head bumping on his helmet and Mando holding your hands. “I’m.. glad.” His actions spoke louder than his attempt at words, he was on his own for years and didn’t even think of companionship much less a child, not that he didn’t want one but after the war..
•His touches would linger as he brushed your cheek fondly, you would catch him staring down at your stomach. A child, you both would have a child.
•Mando would promise to protect both of you, “Ni kar'tayli gar darasuum.” This was a vow, his hand was carefully set onto your stomach and he would enjoy the closeness he could provide without removing his helmet so his helmet bumping against your forehead gently was to signify a kiss.
