Yet another Simon and Marcie comic
Thinking about how Marcy probably trusted Simon so quickly because he was the only one who looked like her
Also thinking about how she’s the only one in ooo who remembers what is was like to be a human before the mushroom war
Also thinking about how music is Marceline’s entire life because her mom and then Simon and then the human survivors all taught her songs to get her through hard times when she was a kid/mortal and so now whenever she doesn’t know what to do she plays a song
Also how Simon sang the cheers theme to stop himself from forgetting when he put the crown on and ice king still remembers the song he sang to Marceline in the dark cloud

Y'all, the world is sleeping on what NASA just pulled off with Voyager 1
The probe has been sending gibberish science data back to Earth, and scientists feared it was just the probe finally dying. You know, after working for 50 GODDAMN YEARS and LEAVING THE GODDAMN SOLAR SYSTEM and STILL CHURNING OUT GODDAMN DATA.
So they analyzed the gibberish and realized that in it was a total readout of EVERYTHING ON THE PROBE. Data, the programming, hardware specs and status, everything. They realized that one of the chips was malfunctioning.
So what do you do when your probe is 22 Billion km away and needs a fix? Why, you just REPROGRAM THAT ENTIRE GODDAMN THING. Told it to avoid the bad chip, store the data elsewhere.
Sent the new code on April 18th. Got a response on April 20th - yeah, it's so far away that it took that long just to transmit.
And the probe is working again.
From a programmer's perspective, that may be the most fucking impressive thing I have ever heard.

7th May 2024: Amazing and Awesome Coloring Book
This activity book will be published by Penguin Random House in a few weeks. Source.

3rd September 2024: Journey to Ooo
This is another Penguin Random House book. It will adapt two episodes: Dungeon and Fionna and Cake. It is part of PRH's Screen Comix line, which means it will just be screenshots from the two episodes with speech bubbles and stuff edited over the top. Source.

15th October 2024: Adventure Time Compendium Vol. 1
This will be the first piece of Adventure Time merch published by Oni Press, who have taken over from Boom Studios as the main publishers of the Adventure Time comics. The Compendium will collect issues 1 to 35 of the original 2012 Adventure Time run. It's not clear whether or not it will also contain the backup stories from those issues, or just the main stories. Presumably there will be a Vol. 2 at some point collecting issues 36 to 75, but that has not been announced yet. Source.

12th November 2024: The Fionna and Cake Compendium
Similar to the other compendium, this will not contain any new stories but will collect existing ones. It will include the original Fionna & Cake comic miniseries, the Fionna & Cake: Card Wars miniseries, and a selection of other comics from across the franchise. Source.

More details on Adventure Time: The Roleplaying Game
Now that the Kickstarter campaign is underway, Cryptozoic Entertainment are publishing regular updates about stretch goals and the actual contents of the two books.
We have received our first information about the plot of the adventure book, Quest for the Shadow Gems. The marketing says it will be split into chapters, with each chapter described as "an opportunity to remix the monsters, heroes, and places we already love from the show and present them in surprising ways that help the players tell new stories in the Land of Ooo."
As an example, here's the cover for chapter 2, titled Love in Lumpy Space, which sounds like it will be taking some pointers from the episode Trouble in Lumpy Space.
Additionally, four campaign stretch goals have been met so far:
The Map of Ooo will now be made of cloth instead of paper.
There is now an additional "random encounter" card deck that can be claimed as an addon by Kickstarter backers.
Six additional Lumpy Space related monsters will be added to the core book, Prismo's Guide to Adventures in Ooo.
There are now some art print postcards that can also be claimed as an addon.
There is only one more initial stretch goal, which will unlock a BMO dice set and will probably be reached pretty soon. The next stretch goal after that will expand Quest for the Shadow Gems.
Of course, this is a Kickstarter project so there is always the chance of everything falling through and nobody getting anything, so keep that in mind before pledging your money.
Adventure Time: The Roleplaying Game is currently aiming for a March 2025 release.

Hello, @j4gm here.
I used to report pretty heavily on the Adventure Time comics and other upcoming media on my main blog, but since Adventure Time ended there hasn't been much coming out. With the announcement of the new line of Oni Press comics and the second season of Fionna and Cake, I want to continue reporting on the franchise!
News updates will now be posted here, on adventure-time-news, instead of on my main blog. The folks who followed me for Adventure Time initially now have a more focused blog to follow if they're not interested in my other ramblings and reblogs :p

Another update on Adventure Time: The Roleplaying Game. Ice King has won the social media poll and will be added as an "Algebraic Ally," bringing the total up to seven; Finn, Jake, Marceline, Bubblegum, Ice King, BMO, and Peppermint Butler.
The most recent Kickstarter update also contains a link to a feedback form. They are gathering data on which species players would like to be able to play as before they finalise the list of twenty that will be included, so go vote for the ones you'd like to see!
