At 14, Olivia Castillo started having the same nightmare every night. The same horrifying and mysterious voice followed her as the young girl tried to find the light in the darkness. The voice shouted the same thing "Embrace the change". Every night it was the same routine, going to bed, falling asleep, only to be woken up hours later all sweaty and with a pounding heart. Every night. For seven months. Until the teenager decided she'd had enough and stole a sleeping pill from her grandmother's bathroom cabinet. That was the first time Olivia had managed to get a full night's sleep. So she kept doing it. Taking the senior woman's pills and blaming on grandma's bad memory for not remembering that she had already taken her medicine for the day.

At 15, the pills had lost their effect. The nightmares started to get worse, more recurrent than before. That's when she started doing drugs, weed wasn't that strong, but it gave some relaxation to her body and mind, it was enough to get her going for a few months.

At 16 turning 17, her life had done a complete 180. She no longer had a boyfriend, her childhood friends barely talked to her, and her reputation as a golden girl was replaced by the official junkie of Mystic Falls. She cared, she cared a lot, but having a bad reputation and hearing people whispering about her wherever she went seemed like a better alternative than having to wake up every night to a mysterious voice telling her she couldn't hide forever.

Dolores never knew her biological father, apparently when he found out he had impregnated a teenage girl, he fled the town and was never seen again. As for her mother, Dolores remembers her. Despite only spending four years with her, Lola remembered how she had a special song for bath time, that she read the same story to her every night before bed, and most of all, Lola remembered how her mother loved the beach. She remembered the last time she saw her mother, on that very beach they liked to go to so much. They spent the entire afternoon playing, building the biggest sandcastle Lola had ever seen, but later in the afternoon, her mother decided to go for a swim. A swim that Lola couldn't go along, which was strange, to say the least, after all her mother never left Lola alone, especially in public places. She kissed her forehead, told her she loved her and walked to the sea. Lola remembered how minutes turned into hours, watching the waves crash and waiting for her mother to come back. But she never did it.

Suddenly, Eddie stirred a little from his sleep; scared she might have accidentally woken him up by touching him, Nancy pulled her hand away, but he mumbled something incoherent against his pillow. 

That’s right, he’s a sleep talker, Nancy remembered, allowing her hand to rest against his face again. It wasn’t often that she had caught him and his sleep talking, but she remembered one night when she had been studying so long into the night it was early, she heard him and his epic sleep battle between himself and a penguin. Telling him about it the next morning, his face turned hot with embarrassment, but Nancy reassured him she thought it was cute. Just another silly thing about him for her to enjoy, she had told him then.

Eddie hummed before he spoke, his words slurring together into a barely coherent string, “I gotta secret, Uncle Wayne,”

mara’s endless oc list ⋆ Abraham ‘Bram’ Marwood

Bram Marwood was only nine years old when he committed his first murder. It was mere minutes after discovering that the man he had been raised to believe was his father turned out to not be his father at all, when Bram seemingly blacked out and woke up in a pool of his parents’ blood. Months after this, a mysterious blonde woman showed up at the foster home, claiming to be Bram’s distant relative and taking him away to her boarding school: Nevermore Academy.

A school for the outcasts and the strange, one would think Bram could fit right in. Principal Weems had thought as much. But Bram proved to be even more odd than the odd ones out — a half-demon with questionable lineage and even more questionable control over his powers. Bram quickly learned that keeping people at an arm’s length is safer, for everyone involved. That way, he got to stay out of trouble.

When Wednesday Addams arrived at Nevermore Academy, Bram felt she was going to be more trouble than he could handle. When people started showing up dead and Bram was the first person Wednesday accused of being the killer, he had his proof. It would be an understatement to say the two of them get off on the wrong foot, and they never seemed to find the right one. From seemingly flirting with Bram’s crush to accusing the same crush of being a murderer, Wednesday and Bram were anything but friends.

Still, the two odd teenagers would find that they need each other more than they would’ve ever liked to admit.

Dr. Scott empathises with every victim we’ve encountered more than anyone on the team, and definitely way more than she should have which she goes to great lengths to hide even though it’s proved to be an asset rather than a liability, mostly due to the way she handles herself on each case that we work.
