Velvet listened astutely to the girl's expertise, then nodded. Her black eyes roamed the forest floor looking for hoof prints that might match the moose Grimm they were searching for.
A naturally large and heavy set animal already, being grimm makes it a more dangerous creature capable of crushing in entire sides of cars (and anyone in them) when they've charged at it. Fortunately for them, they've only been tasked with tracking and tranquilizing the beast... what Professor Port plans to do with it, she wouldn't know.
"You have better eyesight. Do you spot anything?"
(redvelvetbunn) "I'm lost."
«✬» Marron let out an annoyed sigh and walked up to the girl in front of her. “Are you sure Velvet? A minute ago you said you knew where we were going.” Had it been a minute though? The soldier had not been watching the time very carefully during their trek, it could have been an hour ago for all she knew.

Velvet had been trying to shake Cardin off her tail from the moment she noticed him following her. She was walking at a pace short of running, clutching her books to her chest and making herself more compact as she moved through the crowd of students, when she’d bumped into another person.
She’d initially closed her eyes while she rushed out an apology, but the familiar voice made her open them. “Marron,” Velvet said, relief clear in her face. But the stomping of boots was getting closer and she was torn between hiding behind her teammate and running to an empty classroom, as was her original intention. She didn’t want to drag her team into her troubles with Cardin and his team.
And, just because teammates are willing to work with you, doesn’t mean they’ll actually stick up for you, a voice likes to remind her.
(redvelvetbunn) "Oh, gosh, I-I’m so sorry for bumping into you!"
"Huh?", the tall woman looked at her teammate and smiled a bit.“No problem Velvet. But you seem to be in a hurry, something the matter? So you need my help?”The huntress didn’t know why, but since the day she met the Faunus girl she was unusual gentle towards her and only her. Maybe because she looked fragile with her tiny body and large fluffy ears?

Velvet released a breath she didn't know she was holding, calmed a little by the other girl's words. She may have a strong sense of smell, stronger than some dog faunus even, but it's difficult if the wind keeps changing.
"Do you have any experience tracking, Marron?"
Velvet rubbed her arm, her ears drooping a little as she looked at the ground littered with fallen red leaves. "I'm more... used to running away from a Grimm's scent than following it."

Velvet already saw where this was going, saw it ten miles away. “No.” She was in a bad mood, and damn it, she would stay that way.
"SNUGGLE BUNNNYYYY……."
"I SAID NO!"
"SSSSSNNNNUGGLE BUNNY WANNA SNUGGLE~?"
Any further protests were lost in a shriek of muffled laughter as her partner yanked her back down onto the bed, smothering Velvet’s face into her chest.
