When I make a post calling Arthur a pookie or write about good things he’s done, it doesn’t mean that I’m not acknowledging the bad parts of him. I post about things I want/that make me feel happy. I have no intention of making analysis about Arthur beating Thomas Downes and making kill counts to contrast my positive posts. I imagine this is also true for other people who post similar content about Arthur as me.
There is definitely not a lack of “most brutal moments”, “Arthur antagonising the shit out of everyone”, “coldest sigma moments” type posts (and it wouldn’t be incorrect to say that this is how majority of the fandom perceives the character anyway)
It’s just so annoying when someone calls Arthur a good person and there always has to be that one guy to write: “no actually he kills people 🤓” like duh
The whole discourse about Arthur being a good or bad person in general is ridiculous. What someone would consider a good person is a highly subjective topic. As many people would agree he is neither, but that shouldn’t be any surprising revelation.
Do you lose the ability of being good the moment you do something bad? Do you become irredeemable once you kill someone? Do your circumstances, intentions and remorse play any part in that? Do negative actions negate the positive ones? This all depends on the individual’s values and morals.
