You woke, hearing a clatter from the kitchen, whispered swearing echoed through your door that was slightly open, you groaned and turned over, getting tangled in the blanket that you had laid over you, looking at it for a few seconds trying to remember if you’d pulled it over yourself before you fell asleep. You sat up and crawled out of bed, grabbing the phone off the table next to your bed, looking at it in your hand as you couldn’t remember putting it there last night and wandering out into the living room.
“Finally.” Said Felix who was sitting at the kitchen island, coffee in front of him as he flicked through his phone.
“Shut up.” You yawned, smiling to Chris as he slid a cup of coffee towards you.
 “Did you both sleep well?”
Felix nodded and looked between you and Chris, his eyes narrowing as he sensed the vibe you were both giving off.
“Yeah, I did.” Chris mumbled, his cheeks flushing slightly as he sat next to you and took a sip of coffee.
“We better get going soon.” You said, finishing your coffee rather quickly and glancing at Chris as you rinsed your cup. “I’m going to get changed.”
You walked into your bedroom and pulled out a new pair of tights, pulling them on and grabbing a hoodie to shove on at the rink, you walked out seeing both of the boys had their bags, Chris holding yours as you smiled and shoved your shoes on. Again you all decided that an Uber would be better than the bus this early in the morning, you all piled into the back seat, or at least you tried, Chris giving up and jumping into the front seat.
“Ok, what happened between you two last night?” Felix whispered in your ear, you turned to look at him as the smirk on his face grew slightly, his eyebrows wiggling as you burst out laughing.
“Nothing, we just spent a little time together after you fell asleep.” You smiled, fiddling with your fingers as Felix jabbed his elbow into your side.
“Uh huh.”
You leant closer to him and whispered. “We shared a hug, that’s all.”
“Wow, scandalous.” Felix said as Chris turned, looking at you both.
  “I swear you are both going to drive me crazy.” He sighed, turning back around and shoving his earphones in.
You thanked the Uber and got out, wandering into the rink and making your way through the foyer, looking out over the ice and sighing in relief as there was no sign of Seojin, yet.
  You’d all decided to take turns out on the ice, allowing you to all go through your programs in full before your next group lesson in a few days.
  A few hours had passed and you were all sitting on the bench taking a break, the high pitched voice breaking the calm silence that you had all enjoyed the whole morning.
“Channie, you were supposed to skate with me!” Seojin whined  as she walked down the stairs, stopping as another voice boomed out behind her.
“This is a closed practice, I told you yesterday.” Said the hockey coach as he walked through the doors, several members of the hockey team following behind him.
“I’m here with them!” Seojin said, pointing to the three of you.
The coach looked at you, watching as you shook your head slightly. “I only have three names on the sheet.”
  You held your laugh, there was no sheet, you knew this and so did the hockey coach, the hockey members smirking and giggling as Seojin started turning bright pink.
“Well when am I meant to skate then?!” She shrieked, glaring at you as you turned away and started untying your skates.
“That’s something you need to sort out.” He said, turning away and ushering the team down the stairs.
“Sheet?” Chris whispered as he started taking his skates off. “What sheet?”
You snorted and looked at him. “There is no sheet.”
“Channie! Let’s get coffee today!” Seojin said, crossing her arms and looking down at him.
  You turned and looked up at her hearing Chris groan and stand up.
  “I already had coffee at Y/N’s this morning.” He said, shrugging and grabbing his bag.
  “You slept with her?!” Seojin yelled, trudging down the stairs towards you as you stood up and backed away, Felix getting up and pulling you behind him as she tried to reach for you.
“ENOUGH! You!” The hockey coach roared, pointing towards Seojin and walking towards her. “OUT. NOW.”
Chris’ fingers intertwined with yours behind Felix’s back as you turned towards him, he could see the panic in your face as she came closer, ignoring the coach.
“Oi. Coach said get out. Go before I drag you myself.” Sungoh said, moving between Seojin and you three.
“Oh my god, how many of the boys here are you fucking Y/N?” Seojin spat, laughing as she looked between you and the boys.
“SEOJIN.” Your heads all snapped up, seeing the rink manager walking down the stairs. “I can hear you from my office.”
“Sir, she’s been asked to leave, twice.” The hockey coach said.
“Oh I heard, I suggest you leave if you even want the chance to compete at nationals.” He said.
  “You can’t do that!”
“I can’t but the ISU can.” He said, waving a usb stick in his hand.
  “You can’t threaten me with the ISU, my coach is tight with the board.” She smirked, shrugging and turning back to the group in front of you.
“Your coach who hasn’t been seen since you came here?” Chris chimed, as Seojin glared at him.
“Out. Now.” The manager said, pointing to the doors as Seojin turned and walked up the stairs, you turned and buried your face into Chris’ chest as Felix rubbed your back, you felt something digging into your forehead but you didn’t care, you felt safe and that’s all you needed at this moment.
“Thanks.” Chris said, nodding towards Sungoh.
“This rink is like family man, even if we do bicker.” He said, smiling and joined the rest of his team. “I’m not going to let some outsider treat family like that.”
You snorted as you turned to look at Sungoh, seeing half the other hockey players staring at him, nodding slightly.
“You owe me some support at a hockey game now.” He said as he walked past and got onto the ice.
“In your dreams.” You quipped, grabbing your bag and waving to the team as you walked up the stairs clutching Chris’ hand praying that Seojin wasn’t hanging around in the foyer.

~~~~~
You laid in bed, curled in your blankets as the movie you had finished 30 minutes ago faded into the background, the title screen replaying over and over, you looked out the window of your apartment, watching as the snow fell lightly, a few flakes being blown into the window as the wind started to pick up. Your phone buzzing as you turned to find it, pulling the blankets up only to hear a thud, there it is, crawling over to see where it had fallen you stretched your hand down as far as you could without falling off your bed, fingers grasping it as a loud sigh left your mouth as you looked at the screen.
“Reminder, we’re off ice for two days, use this time for the showcase prep.”
Groaning you rolled onto your back and threw your phone into the pillows of your bed, you had no idea what to do now, the weather had gotten worse so there was no point in trying to go outside.
“I need a dress for the showcase..” You thought, jumping up and grabbing your phone, getting to work searching for a dress that you liked, sure you could just re-use an old one, but you wanted something special, something that would flow nicely against the music. It was always dangerous looking at dresses, there were so many that you liked, but you had two you were thinking about, your saved the photos and opened your messages, tapping away and sending them to Felix, but it wasn’t Felix who got them.
“Shit.” You moaned, placing your phone down and flopping face first into your pillows, you’d sent them to Chris, out of everyone on your phone you just had to send them to him, you quickly flicked him a sorry message, watching as he replied almost instantly, sighing you screenshotted that message, knowing Felix would find this extremely hilarious.
As you were being laughed at by Felix your phone buzzed with another message from Chris, seeing that he’d sent another message you opened it, smiling lightly as you saw what he’d sent.
“If it helps, I like the second one”
You nodded, you liked the second one too, your eyes flickered to the window, the snow was now a full blizzard as you got up, closing your curtains to block out the cold feeling that was creeping over you. As you sat back down your mind wandered to the events that had imploded your lesson, remembering the pure panic you felt as Seojin sped into your path, thinking about how Chris had told you, in basic terms, you were no longer an option for him, or at least that’s what you thought he meant, tapping the screen of your phone you messaged Felix asking him about what Chris had said, groaning as he ended up being no help.
You grabbed the remote for your TV, turning it off as you were sick of hearing the menu for the movie playing, looking at your phone you were trying to decide if you would message Chris about it, but thinking that it really wasn’t any of your business who he dated, you had a showcase that you needed to deal with.
As you woke the next morning you stretched and groaned, realizing that you needed to go into the rink and try to work on your routine but without ice time, dragging yourself out of bed and noticing your phone on the floor.
“Huh, what are you doing down here.” You whispered, grabbing it and chucking it onto your bed as you walked into the bathroom, getting yourself ready and picking out an outfit to wear.
You opened your curtains to see that the snowstorm that had been raging last night was long gone, snow piled on top of cars and trees making you shiver as you looked at it. Grabbing your skate bag and phone off your bed you made your way out of your apartment, wrapping yourself tightly in a large jacket, you made your way towards the bus stop, slipping slightly on the icy paths. The ride to the rink was just as boring as usual, only seeing a few people struggling in the snow with their cars.
You got off at the usual stop, taking your time walking down to the rink as you were slipping all over the place, you hated winter for this very reason, you got to the small hill before the carpark, sighing as you weighed up going through the snow or risking it all and walking down the path.
“Cold and wet or sore and wet?” You said, deciding you’d rather risk it and be sore then wet you slowly started shuffling down the path, hearing footsteps from behind you as you started to slip slightly, a hand grabbing your arm as you almost fell on your butt.
“You okay?” Came from behind you, turning you saw Chris wrapped tightly in his jacket, smiling at you.
“Thanks to you.” You laughed as he held your arm, shuffling down the path in front of you and turning to help you down, almost slipping over again at the bottom. “What are you doing here?”
He smiled and let go of you. “Coach did say we needed to work on our showcase program, I’m here to see if I can sneak some ice time before the hockey players get here.” He shrugged.
“Yeah good luck.” You smirked as you both walked across the carpark. “If they catch you on the ice, don’t expect me to help.”
He pouted slightly at you, making you smile slightly as you walked through the doors, the foyer empty and the ice was empty as well, as you stood looking you heard someone talking and walking from the Managers office, turning to see the manager himself on the phone, looking at you both as he hung up.
“You’re in luck, you have 2 hours of ice time.” He said heading towards the door. “Ice hockey coach has pushed his practice back.”
Looking at each other you stood for a few seconds before you both sprinted down the stairs, sitting down on the bench and pulling your skates out, shoving them on, you’d take two hours of ice time any day, you watched as Chris pushed out onto the ice first, it was rough and hadn’t been resurfaced yet either but again, any ice time is better then none.
You skated around, getting your body warmed up enough, you skated down one end of the rink, Chris at the other, his ear phones in and his mind working as you glanced at him. You started with a few spins, playing with different layback positions, deciding to grab your phone and prop it up against the large protection wall near the hockey goal, you hit record and pushed off, turning into a layback spin and stretching your hands out in front of you, pointing towards the ceiling as you spun, pulling them close to your body for a few rotations and exiting the spin, turning and gaining a bit more speed as you turned in again, this time almost laying parallel to the ice stretching your hands out above your head so they pointed towards the walls, you pulled them in, changing into a sit spin, pushing out as you slowed right down.
  “The hell are you doing twinkle toes?!” Rang out across the rink, you snapped your head up to see Sungoh, the goalie for the hockey team. “Get off!”
You laughed, grabbing your phone and stopping the recording, skating over to the gate and watching as he came trudging down the stairs.
“Manager said we have 2 hours.” You shrugged, looking as Chris skated up to you. “Take it up with the manager.”
“Great, there’s two of you ruining the ice.” Sungoh groaned.
“I mean, we can call two more just to piss you off if you want.” Chris said as you snorted, watching as Sungoh shot him a nasty look and trudged back up the stairs.
“Oh wait, the manager already left.” You said, slapping your forehead and pouting at Sungoh. “Sorry bud.”
“You’re a bitch, you know.” Sungoh snapped.
You smiled and nodded as you skated off backwards, laughing at Chris as he looked like he was about to charge at Sungoh. “He loves me, deep down, don’t you?”
“In your dreams, twinkle toes.” He said, trudging back out into the foyer and pulling out his phone, obviously seeing the message from his coach as he swore loudly.
You turned in a slow twizzle as Chris turned to look at you. “Are they always like that?”
  Nodding you stopped in front of him, smiling as he looked at you. “They’re harmless, honestly. I’m used to it.”
Pushing off towards your end of the rink you pulled your phone out again, watching the video as you glided slowly around in a circle, deciding you liked the first variation you tried, putting your phone into the pocket of your tights you skated off, gaining speed and turning into the spin, laying back and stretching your arms towards the ceiling, pulling them closer after a few rotations, covering your eyes for another few rotations before you pushed out of the spin.
You looked over at Chris, who was staring at you, again. “What?” You laughed as he seemed to snap out of his day dream.
“Nothing, just thinking.” He said, shoving his ear phones in again and skating off, you pushed off as well, skating around and practicing several other elements that you wanted to use in the program.
You both skated for the full two hours, exiting the ice as you saw the Zamboni driver signal to you to clear out, sighing as you sat on the bench and pulled your skates off.
“Channie!” You heard, your heart dropping as you started to race and shove your feet into your shoes, stuffing your skates into your bag and walking up the stairs as Seojin came running down them, almost bowling you over as she pushed past you.
“Did she have to skate with you?!” She asked, hearing a blunt yes from Chris as you got to the top of the stairs.
You heard several voices in the foyer as you made your way through the doors, seeing the Ice Hockey coach and half the team standing around, several heads turning to you.
“Y/N a word?” The coach said, signaling you to follow him over to the seats.
 “Just a heads up, hockey practice is going to be pushed back until this time for the next few days.”
“Really? So that means we can use the ice?” You asked.
“I heard what happened yesterday, your coach came and asked for me to push it back.” He said, looking at you as you groaned. You loved that your coach was able to get you ice time, but you would have been fine and even worse is that Seojin will now know.
  “Thanks, It’s going to be a huge help.” You said through a forced smile, watching as he got up and started ushering the team down the stairs, hearing him tell Seojin to get out as Chris came wandering through the doors, you quickly pointed to your phone before Seojin could see, typing out a quick message, watching as his eyes flickered over to you as he nodded.
“Channie let’s go get coffee!” Seojin whined, as she grabbed Chris’ arm, you scoffed, standing up and making your way down the hall towards the rink’s small gym room, it was mostly used by the hockey idiots but since they were busy you knew it’d be free so you could do some off ice practice.
You set your bag down in front of the mirror, pulling out your off ice spinner, something that seems so unnecessary  to have with you but something that was super helpful in situations like this, you gave it a spin with your hand, standing up and stretching a bit as you tied your hair back.
Placing one foot on the spinner you pushed off from your other, tucking it against your leg and stretching your hands above your head, hopping off and stretching into the exit position as you heard a commotion on the ice, wandering over to the large glass windows you looked out, seeing that a few members of the team were fighting amongst themselves, the coach yelling at them as they all stopped and turned to listen to him.
“There you are!” Said a voice behind you, turning you saw Felix walking through the doors.
“What’s going on out there?” You asked, as Felix walked over to the window and laughed.
“Probably nothing important.” He said, throwing his bag down next to yours as he looked at you. “So, how was this morning?”
You saw the smirk he had on his face, he’d obviously ran into Chris on his way out, he would have mentioned that you both managed to get some ice time today.
“It was fine, what’s that smirk for?”
  “I’m just surprised that Chris was in one piece, I mean after what he said yesterday.” He said, winking at you and walking over to your spinner, jumping on it and spinning slowly.
“I’m still pissed off at him.” You grumbled, crossing your arms as Felix spin in front of you.
“If you say so, he was begging me to get him away from Seojin when I walked in.” Felix said, stepping off your spinner.
“Why? I thought he liked her?” You asked, raising your eyebrows.
“Y/N. I think after what he saw yesterday..”
“He wasn’t supposed to see that, neither were you.” You snapped.
“Just be glad he knows the truth now.”
Felix was right, you were glad that you didn’t have to try and prove it to Chris anymore but you were still hurt from what he said yesterday. Confusion was starting to cloud your mind, why had he been so close with you the days leading up to Seojin arriving, would it have continued if she hadn’t come to your rink?
  “Did he really mean what he said yesterday?” You whispered, looking over at Felix who turned around and sighed.
“I told you, you have to speak to him about it Y/N.”
As you nodded and turned back to your spinner you sighed, he knew something and he wasn’t telling you, but did you really want to know? Did you really need anymore heartbreak because of Chris? You decided to ask him about it after the showcase, the last thing you needed was a distraction.
The doors to the gym slammed open, a snow covered Chris burst into the room, almost panting as he looked between you both.
“God, did you run away from her or something?” Felix laughed, as Chris threw his bag down and glared at him.
“Yeah, I did.” He said with a straight face. “Also she’s adamant that she’s going to skate with me tomorrow morning.”
  “Ugh. It’s fine, I’ll talk to the manager about it.”
“No, don’t. I have an idea.” Felix said, pulling his phone out and showing it to you. You looked over at Chris who got up from where he’d been sitting, walking over and standing rather close to you, looking at what Felix was talking about. On the screen he had pulled up an image that you recognized straight away, the old outdoor hockey rink that was an hour away from your apartment.
“You’re crazy, we have no idea what the ice is like.” Chris said, looking between you both.
“He’s right Lix, it hasn’t been used in years.”
“You know the Zamboni driver here though.” Felix said, smiling at you.
“I’m not asking him to drive the Zamboni all the way there!” You laughed, looking at Felix as he started to pout slightly.
You looked at Chris who shrugged and shot his hands up.
“FINE, I’ll ask him if he can look at the ice but you need to pack my spinner away for me and meet me in the foyer in 10 minutes.” You said, walking out of the room as Felix grabbed his bag and flung it over his shoulder, reaching down and picking your spinner off the ground and shoving it into your bag.
You made your way to the large glass doors, catching the hockey coaches eye as he waved you down, skating to the boards and leaning on them as you wandered down the stairs.
“I see my plan may have failed.” He said, smiling lightly as you stopped in front of him.
“Maybe, is the Zamboni driver around?”
  He pointed to the large roller door near one end of the rink, you nodded and sprinted off towards the door, knocking on the metal lightly as it rolled up slightly.
“If you’re here to ask me to come in early to do the ice, I’m not.” He said.
“I have a favor to ask.” You said, watching as he groaned and turned to you. “Can you come check out the old hockey rink across town for us?”
“Please tell me you’re kidding. It hasn’t been used in years.”
“Pretty please!” You whined, looking as he started to smile lightly.
“Even though it hasn’t been used in years, it should be fine.” He said, smirking slightly. “Only because I redid the ice on it a few days ago for the local kids.”
You screamed slightly, hugging him tightly and thanking him, turning as you heard a voice outside the door.
“Y/N! Scream again if you need help!”
“Lix! Stop!” You laughed, thanking the Zamboni driver and walking out. “The ice is fine, he resurfaced it for the kids a few days ago.”
As you walked up the stairs you noticed that Felix only had his bag, sighing you looked at him. “My bag?”
“Here.” Chris said, handing you your skate bag and smiling at you. “So? Is he coming?”
You shook your head, looking at Chris as he groaned. “He resurfaced the ice for the local kids, its fine to skate on.”
All three of you pushed through the doors into the carpark walking over towards the bus stop as you chatted between yourselves, Felix getting a call mid conversation which left you and Chris to talk.
“My parents are coming to the showcase. They’re excited to see you again.” He blurted out as you both sat down, you smiled at him and nodded, you always loved hanging out at his house before, since your parents were usually travelling or busy they became your second family.
“I can’t wait to see them again, How’s Berry?” You asked, looking at him as he smiled back.
He pulled his phone out, scrolling through his photos until he turned the screen towards you, you laughed and looked closer.
“Oh my god! She’s so cute!” You cooed.
“Yeah, until she clambers all over you at 4am.” He groaned.
As the bus pulled up Felix finally ended his call, explaining that his parents were also going to be coming to the showcase, you all filed onto the bus and managed to snag the backseat, you leant your head back against the seat and sighed, closing your eyes for a few seconds, until the rattle of the bus made you open them, realizing that you’d dozed off, your head resting on Chris’ shoulder, Felix had his head resting on yours, though he wasn’t asleep.
“Sorry.” You mumbled, looking up at Chris as you sat up, Felix protesting slightly next to you.
“It’s okay.” He smiled, stretching and shoving his phone into his pocket as the bus slowed, coming to a stop near the old rink.
Felix almost sprinted out of the bus as you and Chris trudged along after him, wrapping yourself in the large jacket you had on, the skies had clouded over again and a light snow was falling. As you walked down the quiet road you heard several kids yelling and screaming with joy, noticing that they were on the rink playing a small game of hockey.
You sat watching them for a while, huddled together as the snow became heavier, after an hour Felix somehow managed to get into a snowball fight with several of the kids, dragging Chris away from you to help him, even as Chris protested loudly about it. You laughed, watching as they both got pelted with snowballs and chased the kids around until they were tired, waving to them as they were ushered home by their parents.
“Look’s like its all ours now.” Felix said, dropping beside you and laying in the snow patch that had formed.
You shivered slightly as Chris came wandering over, snow dusted in his hair as he grabbed his bag and walked over to the benches that were dotted around the rink. You followed and sat next to him, laughing as you turned to ask him a question only to see a large clump of snow in his hair, your hand reached up, softly pulling it out as he watched you.
“You’re staring Chris.” You mumbled as you plucked the snow out, meeting his eyes for a few seconds, before focusing on his hair again.
“Huh?” He breathed, his cheeks blushing slightly as you ruffled his hair to get all of the snow out even though it was no use, the snow had stopped but it could start again at any second.
You smiled and pulled your skates out of your bag, quickly shoving them on and looking around at the darkening sky, as you were looking you noticed one issue to your master plan of using this rink, the lights weren’t on.
“Um…Do we know if the lights here work?” You asked, hearing Felix groan behind you and swear softly.
“Shit, we didn’t think of that.”
You got up and trudged around in your skates, looking on the outside walls for a power box or switch of some kind, jumping as the lights clunked on and the rink lit up slightly, looking around to see Chris standing up on the opposite side of the rink to you.
Stepping onto the ice you smiled, at least these kids didn’t tear up the ice too badly, pushing off and warming yourself up, the cold had been getting to you. Soon all three of you were on the ice, making the most of the time you had, by the time the sun had fully set it seemed like all three of you had some sort of routine planned out, you all skated towards the middle and huddled close.
“We should go before it gets any colder.” You said, as you shivered. “You can both crash at my place if you want.”
You all agreed on calling an Uber to your apartment, it was the closest and you’d feel bad if you didn’t offer them a place to sleep, you wrapped yourself in your jacket as the wind started to blow fiercely. You all got out of your skates and packed your things, using your phones as torches when Chris turned the lights off, the rink going dark with a loud clunk, the Uber pulling up a few minutes later. You punched the code into your door, opening it and letting Chris and Felix in, smiling as you all dumped your bags down at the door.
“Well Lix has been here before, but this is my place.” You said, looking at Chris as he nodded. “You’ll both be alright out here on the couches right?”
“Of course.” Chris said, watching as Felix flopped down onto one couch and stretching out.
You all talked for a few hours only stopping when Felix had dozed off, you and Chris trying to hold your laughter as you kept talking in hushed voices. You stretched and yawned as Chris did the same.
“I think I’m going to head to bed.” You said as the awkwardness started to creep in between you both. “I think I’ll need all my energy if Seojin’s going to be skating tomorrow morning.”
“I’m sorry.” Chris said quietly. “If I’d known about what had happened at Nationals…”
“It’s fine Chris, really.”
You smiled and stood up, grabbing a couple of blankets from the cupboard and throwing one at Chris before gently laying  the other over Felix as he stirred in his sleep, saying goodnight to Chris you wandered into your bedroom, flopping into your bed and looking out the window. You wanted nothing more then to have Chris next to you, but you still felt that there was something he wasn’t telling you, something that was so serious that even Felix wouldn’t tell you. You sighed, pulling the covers over yourself and closing your eyes, the soft snores coming from the living room keeping you awake.
You opened your eyes and groaned, picking up your phone and checking the time, seeing that it was only 2am, you rolled out of bed, trying to walk as quietly as you could, feeling a coolness in your living room as you walked out, noticing that Chris was gone from the couch you’d left him on, feeling your heart drop you sighed, checking the front door and seeing his bag still piled on top of yours, where the heck was he? Your head turned as the sliding door out onto your small balcony slid open, Chris quietly slipping back inside and closing the door as softly as he could, turning and jumping slightly as he spotted you.
“Jesus Y/N!” He whispered loudly as you smiled.
“Can’t sleep?” You asked as he walked over to the couch and plopped down, nodding as you sat next to him. “Going outside in that cold wind wouldn’t help you know..”
“It’s actually nice out there, come on.” He said, grabbing your hand and pulling you outside, you both being as quiet as possible trying to not wake Felix.
You stepped out and shivered, groaning and turning to walk inside to grab your coat only to have arms wrap around you from behind, Chris pulling you under his jacket as he rested his head on your shoulder. Yes, you were still mad at him, but being this close to him again after so long was intoxicating.
“I’m really sorry.” He mumbled, nuzzling into your neck.
  You turned, making him look at you. “It’s okay Chris, really.”
You both stared at each other for a while, your eyes flickering to his lips for a second as he pulled you closer, wrapping his arms around you tightly.
“I should have contacted you earlier.” He said. “I wanted to after the first week of skating with Seojin, but I didn’t know how.”
“You could have just come over.” You laughed.
“Like that worked great the day after everything actually happened.”
“Yeah, true. I’m sorry I took it out on you Chris.” You mumbled, burying your head into his shoulder slightly.
“No, it’s okay. I made a stupid mistake so I kind of deserved it.” He said. “Let’s go back inside, it’s too cold.”
“You’re the one who said it was nice out!” You laughed, quietly slipping into the warmth of the apartment, you sat next to Chris and leaned against him, glancing up at him as his phone buzzed. You watched as he picked it up and groaned, showing you the screen, a message from Seojin on the screen.
Tumblr media
“Jeez. She loves to spam you.” You whispered.
Chris nodded, closing his phone and setting in on the coffee table as you yawned, turning to look at him.
“I’m going to head back to bed.” You said, as you stood up.
“Okay, Sleep well.” He smiled, watching as you walked out of sight.
Falling face first in to your bed again you smiled, feeling you cheeks flush as you turned over and looked at the ceiling, you were still so in love with him and it almost felt like he had feelings for you too, your phone buzzed on the table next to your bed, picking it up and smiling widely again at the message you’d received, but the words he yelled at you the other day echoed in your head as your eyes slowly shut, you phone falling to the ground with a thud as you dozed off.
“I’m sorry, what?” You said, looking at your coach and laughing.
“We’re going to have to merge the two groups of skaters into one session time, the ice hockey coach has argued that they now have a limited time to skate because there’s so many of you.”
“I gathered that much and you’re going to just drop a showcase on us too?” You asked, watching as Rejin finally realised what had been said.
“You cannot be serious, Seojin is crazy enough off the ice, I’m not skating with her on it, not after what I got told yesterday” Rejin said, crossing her arms and looking at the coach. “And no way in hell am I doing a showcase with that girl.”
“I need to call the others and get them here.” He said, turning away and pulling his phone out.
“Rejin!” You growled, pointing your head towards Chris as she mouthed a sorry and groaned.
“What did you get told yesterday?” Chris asked, looking between you both as you glared at Rejin.
Before you could cover her mouth Rejin blurted out “Seojin caused the accident between Y/N and her partner.”
Felix sighed behind you as your head fell into your hands, she just couldn’t control herself could she, your head snapping up as Chris laughed.
“You’re kidding me, Y/N seriously? I know you don’t like her but making something like that up?” You watched as he walked through the doors leading to the ice, shaking his head, turning around to say. “She had no idea that you’d even had a skating accident.”
Your coached walked back up to the group, the look on his face was of concern as he felt the tension.
“Uh I sensed that I just walked into something but the others will be here soon.” Your coach said waving his phone in the air as you all made your way down to the ice.
“I’m sorry, but he needed to know.” Rejin said in your ear as you grabbed her wrist and tugged her along behind you.
“Not like that and not when he’s already pissed off at me for some unknown reason!”
Realising that Rejin had missed the events of last night you filled her in, telling her to leave it alone as she turned to Chris after hearing what he’d said to you. You all sat, skates on, waiting for the others to arrive, Rejin giving up first and getting on the ice to warm up, you followed soon after.
After about 10 minutes all four of you were on the ice, you could feel a sense of nervousness bubbling up inside you as you tried to stick to a certain area of the ice, not trying to get in anyone’s way, you pushed into the spin that you’d practiced earlier, thankful that you’d finally broken the habit of coming in too sharply.
“This is so stupid!” Rang out through the rink, Seojin looking pissed off as she trudged down the stairs, sighing as she saw you already on the ice.
“I’m not skating with her on the ice.”
“Too bad, this is the only ice time you’re getting for the next two days.” Said your coach as he made his way past her and sat down, pulling his own skates on. “You all need one routine for the showcase coming up.”
“Oh great.” You said to Felix as he stopped next to you on the ice, you kicked your toe pick into the ice, already trying to pick a piece of music, one popping into your head almost instantly.
“If you want, start working on your routine, if not let me know and we can work on something together.” Your coach said, pushing onto the ice, skating around and stopping in front of Rejin who was looking rather pissed off.
“Want me to grab your phone?” You asked Felix, turning to him as he nodded and followed you over to the gate, you stepped off, not bothering to put your guards on for once, grabbing his phone and ear phones for him you set them on the boards, grabbing your own and turning to get back onto the ice.
“Ugh, annoying..” Seojin said, pushing past you onto the ice and skating right over to where Chris was.
After waiting for the other two boys (whose names you didn’t know) to get onto the ice you stepped on, shoving your ear phones in and turning on your first choice for a routine song.
You enjoyed the flourishes in the music, the upbeat pace making it perfect for building speed and covering the ice neither of which you could do right now, instead you practiced some step sequences, trying to time them correctly to the beats in the music, you felt yourself smile as your plan in your head was starting to come together.
Pushing off and skating in a small circle you started using more speed to practice the steps, finding a good rhythm and expanding your circle a little bigger you continued, not taking any notice of the others around you, turning to skate backwards you checked, all clear, gaining speed and getting ready to turn into a twizzle you heard the whoosh of a skater going past you, right in the path you were about to swing your leg into, freaking out you sharply turned, leaning too much onto the outside edge of your blade and wiping out onto the ice.
“What the hell?” You yelled as Seojin speed down the far end of the rink, coming to a stop and smirking back at you. “Are you insane?”
Pushing yourself up you brushed the ice off your sleeves and got back onto your feet, sighing as you pulled your phone out, thankful you hadn’t landed on top of it, pushing off to the boards you stepped off the ice, shoving your phone into your bag and grabbing your water bottle out, taking a sip and hoping it would calm your racing heartbeat.
“You okay?” You turned, seeing Chris also stepping off to grab his water bottle, nodding at him and turning away, taking your bottle with you and placing it on top of the boards next to your blade guards.
You walked back onto the ice, sighing as you went back to where you’d been skating, turning slowly into a simple twizzle, you were making basic progress but having a some what crowded rink was no help at all, deciding it was safe to gain a bit more speed again you lined up your twizzle sequence, checking your left and right as you pushed into it, spinning rapidly, trying to keep your edges clean and your feet tidy, spinning neatly out and digging your toe pick in to stop, you caught your breath for a while, pushing off and turning into another sequence on your other foot, hands out in front of you as you turned yourself rapidly, pushing out and turning the corner speeding up.
Whoosh!
Again, the blur of Seojin screamed into your path, you dug your toe pick into the ice stopping yourself as you turned, hearing her laugh.
That was it, you pushed off with such force and speed, heading straight for Seojin as her eyes widened, skidding to a stop and spraying her with ice.
“Are you fucking crazy?” You screamed at Seojin. “You could have crashed into me!”
She shrugged, laughing as she looked at you. “Look where you’re going then.”
“You came out of nowhere!” You said, pointing your finger at her chest, you felt her grab your wrist, squeezing it tightly, trying to shake free.
“Stay the hell out of my way.” She spat, letting you go, the rage was bubbling inside you and before you knew it you lunged for her, pushing her over as your coach came and grabbed you, pushing you off towards the gate, ordering you off the ice.
You stormed off, grabbing your bottle and guards, shoving them on and slowly making your way up the stairs and out to the foyer, throwing your bag into a free chair and collapsing into another.
Your breathing was rapid as you curled into a small ball in the chair, feeling your heart race and you looked up at the ceiling, you did not need to cry anymore, you’d had enough.
“I do not care! The managers office, now!” You heard from behind you, footsteps getting louder as you curled yourself tighter, burying your head into your knees as you heard voices.
“Make sure she’s alright.”
“That bitch pushed me over!” Seojin yelled.
“You almost caused two accidents! The office, go.” Your coach roared as you felt a hand on your shoulder, looking up to see Felix, a worried look on his face as he knelt in front of you.
“You alright?” He asked, rubbing your arm as you shook your head.
“Come back down and finish that twizzle set, it was looking really good.” He said, offering you his hand as you picked up your bag and followed him back down.
~~~
Chris was watching the scene unfold in front of him, the look of panic on your face mixed with anger was a side he hadn’t seen before, watching as you pushed Seojin over he moved forward slightly, only to stop as he saw your coach grab you and push you towards that gate, the urge to follow you was something he had to control, one wrong move and Seojin would tell you everything and if that happened he knew you’d ask Felix if it was true and Chris knew if you brought it up Felix would tell you everything.
“She’s fucking insane.” Seojin said, looking over at Chris as she brushed herself off.
“Get off the ice now, I’m not letting you on here if you’re going to skate like that.” Your coach said, pointing to the gate that you’d just used.
“Believe her now?” Rejin said to Chris as they both watched Seojin protest the whole way off.
“I’ll go make sure Y/N is okay.” Felix said, looking over at Chris as he skated off, grabbing his guards and jogging up the stairs.
Chris sighed, everything was turning to shit and now they had the added pressure of a showcase routine to plan as well, he’d made things 10x worse between you both and he was now watching you break down yet again.
His eyes snapped up as the large doors to the foyer closed, blocking out the argument that was happening out there, watching as you walked down the stairs with Felix. You shook your head as Felix stepped back onto the ice, you obviously didn’t want to get back on the ice, that’s how freaked you were.
Chris had decided that he’d had enough for today, skating over to the gate and stepping off, hearing you behind him.
~~~
“Chris, can we talk about what Rejin said?” You asked, looking over at him as he sat down.
“I don’t want to talk Y/N.”
“But we need to talk about it Chris.”
“No we don’t.”
“We do Chris, its important that you know what happened!”
"I told you, we don't need to talk, why the hell are you so clingy?"
Before Chris could react one of his blade guards came flying at his chest, being throw at him by you, yet again your face becoming stained with tears, picking up the other guard you prepared to throw it, your hand being stopped by Felix who had skated off the ice.
"The fuck is your issue! You're almost as crazy as Seojin."
"Dude, just stop, let her talk!" Felix yelled, taking Chris' other guard out of your hand and throwing it onto the bench, you turned, taking your skates off and stuffing them in your bag, grabbing the strap and throwing it over your shoulder, starting up the stairs.
"Why do you always fucking cry?!"
"BECAUSE IT HURTS!" Echoed throughout the rink, you had turned and looked at Chris, screaming at the top of your lungs, hoping to knock some sense into him.
"I'm nothing like her." You croaked before you started walking up the stairs again.
"Yeah you're not, you're worse, that’s why I picked Seojin over you!" Chris spat.
You stopped, turning around at his words, seeing the flash of panic flood over his face, the thud of your bag hitting the ground did nothing to break the silence that had formed.
"What?" You squeaked.
"You heard me." Chris said, his voice breaking slightly.
"Dude, this isn't the way to tell her." Felix said.
"Tell me what?"
"Exactly what I said, I picked Seojin over you! I didn't want you anymore."
"I gathered that much Chris, thanks for rubbing it in."
You scoffed, turning and walking out of the rink, pushing the doors open as you wiped your eyes with your sleeve.
"What the hell was that?" Chris and Felix looked up, seeing your coach standing in the back row of seats. "Chris, my office, now, Felix you too."
"Nice, Chris." Felix said, shaking his head.
"If you think she's anything like Seojin, you have no idea who Seojin really is." Felix said, throwing his bag onto his shoulder, grabbing yours at the same time and jogging up the stairs.
Rejin, the only one left standing out on the ice, groaned. “Yay, showcase time.”
~~~~
Sitting in the chairs across from your coach Chris and Felix watched as he opened a seemingly random book, taking out a cd and putting it into his computer, turning the monitor to show them.
"I'm showing this specifically for you Chris, those things you said out there, you have no idea what you've just done."
"No one can know about this video."
Chris looked at the screen, seeing "National Pairs 2018" on the boards.
"Oh my god." Felix whispered, Chris snapping his head towards Felix.
"What?"
"Just watch it."
Hitting play Chris watched, the video focusing on a pair of skaters during their warm up, another pair zipping in and out of frame. As Chris watched he looked closer, realising that it was you skating in this video the other pair looking familiar too. As you came around a corner you were lifted in the air, Chris gasped as the other pair flew into your path and then sped off, you were dropped by your partner, a scream piercing the audio as you held your upper calf, Chris covering his mouth as he recognised Seojin skating up to you, slipping as she tried to stop and cutting your upper thigh, an audible gasp from the crowd in the video made him look closer as he saw blood dripping onto the ice.
"I don't get it, it looked like an accident," Chris said, another video flicking on the screen, this of your old coach talking to Seojin, hitting play the audio was easy to hear.
"Get in their path!"
"Just Do It"
"Skate in front then zap around, pretend to try and stop, pretend to slip."
The clip then cut to Seojin and her partner, skating far too close, just as she had been only moments ago, causing your partner to freak and drop you, from here Chris could see how they had waited until you were being lifted, skating into your partners path to freak him out, remembering how Seojin had waited until you were too focused on an element before as well.
"Y/N's injury was caused by her partner, yes, but it's root cause was Seojin skating dangerously."
Chris sat there, watching your body fall onto the ice, hearing the scream, seeing the blood start to stain the ice, his breathing becoming rapid.
"B-But, something like this, it would have been reported." Chris said.
"It was, nothing was done. Articles were made, but names were never given." Coach said, looking at Chris.
"This is why she freaked out yesterday." Chris thought, thinking back to the panic attack you had. “This is why you snapped this afternoon...”
Chris sighed, burying his head into his hands, he had just fucked up so badly, not only did he compare you to Seojin, he just blurted out something he never meant to say to you in a heated argument, he had to try and find you, tell you he was just stressed out about the whole situation, how Seojin was threatening to tell you about how he’d made the decision to change partners all those years ago.
Their heads turned as you pushed the door open, your eyes flickering to the computer screen and going wide.
“I’m sorry Y/N, I needed to show him.” Your coach said as you stood in the door way.
“Y/N..” Chris said, standing up and moving towards you, stopping as your hand came up.
“I’m here for my bag, that’s it.” You said, grabbing it from the ground next to Felix and turning to walk out the door, not even bothering to look at him as you walked out.
“I totally deserved that, didn’t I?” He asked, looking as both Felix and the coach nodded their heads.

Help, I’m sitting here crying with laughter, I’m writing the first part of the next chapter and im planning out what comes next. minor spoiler below.
I’m here listening to music that I can use to write about y/n’s showcase piece that she has to plan out, right? I’m listening to a certain song that I’ve had on my playlist for a couple of years and I’m like “Bruh, skating to this would be so amazing.” My creative buzz is kicking in and I’m feeling it, so I decided to look into the song.
......
It turns out it’s the freaking Yuri on Ice opening song. LMAO I have never seen the anime, only heard about it, omg whyyy.
Maybe it’s a sign that I should watch it.

An: A lil longer chapter because I couldn’t find a good place to end this part. Honestly my next few chapers are scattered across several notes and documents so it may take me a while to piece them together. I kinda also like y/n and Felix as a couple but my heart is so set on it working out between y/n and chris that I don’t want to make them a couple for like 2 parts. As always, if you want to be added to the taglist let me know!

Chris laid on his bed, staring at the picture of you that Felix sent him, looking at how you'd wrapped yourself in the blankets, how you were looking at your phone, sighing as he switched his phone off as he turned to stare at the dark ceiling.
He laid there for what felt like hours, struggling to fall asleep as every time he closed his eyes he saw your tear stained face, also thinking about how he was going to deal with Seojin, realising he never asked Felix what happened in the coaches office, grabbing his phone he managed to type his question through squinted eyes, the brightness from his phone hurting them.
~~~ The buzzing of a phone woke you, groaning as you tried moving, feeling a weight over your body, noticing that Felix had fallen asleep next to you where he'd been sitting earlier, his arm draped over your waist, you moved as slowly as you could as you tried to reach what you thought was your phone.
"Y/N leave it." Felix groaned from in front of you just as your fingers managed to grip the phone, realising it wasn't yours making all the noise.
"It's yours anyway." You groaned, flopping face first into the sheets, resting the phone in between you both for Felix to grab which he didn't end up doing.
"Lixx." You whined, hearing the light snores that came from Felix you looked up at him, his eyes closed, deciding to put the phone, you grabbed his phone, slowly moving again to try and place it back on top of yours feeling him shuffle and turn over, his arm leaving your waist as you placed it back where it was.
You looked at Felix, pulling a blanket over him and turning over to face away from him, softly sniffing as you tried to hold your sobs, you had hoped it was your phone that was buzzing with a message from Chris.
It was silly, but you had hoped he would have messaged you.
You don't know when you fell asleep but the next thing you knew the sun was peaking through your curtains causing you to groan loudly, a clatter coming from the kitchen made your eyes spring open, sitting upright you spotted the two phones on the bedside table, remembering that Felix had stayed the night.
Rolling out of bed you wandered out to see Felix with his head buried in the cupboard, jumping as he heard your yawn behind him.
"Morning you." He said, smiling as you sat at the breakfast bar, resting your head against your hand.
"Morning." You sighed.
"How you feeling?" He asked, leaning on the countertop and studying your face.
"Just lovely."
"Y/N you still didn't tell me what happened." "Felix, do I have to?" You whined as he walked around and sat on the stool next to you, grabbing your hands and squeezing them.
"Please, I haven't seen you like that since you stopped skating with Chris." He said, his eyes hovering on yours.
"I walked in on them kissing." You said shrugging, feeling a tight squeeze from Felix. "Fine, I ran to the office to grab my bag and Chris followed me, we got into an  argument and he said that what we shared yesterday morning meant nothing, we were so close, having fun, holding hands and skating together."
You bit your lip.
"I missed the feeling of his hands on my waist, at one point we could have kissed." You whispered, feeling tears run down your cheeks again.
"God, why am I crying over a stupid boy, it's not like we were together!" You laughed, wiping your cheeks as Felix watched.
"Because you still love him." Felix said, standing up and ruffling your hair as he wandered towards your room, coming back and handing you your phone as he checked his.
You did love him, you loved that boy so much, ever since you met as kids in mini lessons, you just wished that he loved you back.
"Chris asked why we were in coaches office yesterday." Felix said, looking at you, seeing you shake your head.
"Does he at least know about the scar?"
You nodded. "I tweaked my calf yesterday trying to spin and he saw me wipe out, I kind of had to tell him."
You heard Felix's phone buzz on the counter as he pushed a coffee towards you, watching as he picked it up, tapping at the screen.
"Coach wants me to come in for an evaluation, you coming with?" He asked, looking up at you.
"Yes, because I know you'll drag me along anyway." You smiled, following Felix back to your room where all of your stuff had been dumped, you both grabbed your bags as you made your way out of the apartment.
You both got onto the bus, grabbing seats as you yawned, leaning your head against Felix's shoulder. "You never told me what happened between you and Chris." You said.
"It was nothing." He said, looking down at you. "We just stopped talking."
"Lix..."
"He said some things to me after you guys 'split', things I didn't like and things I'm not going to get into." He stated, leaning his head against yours.
"Okay." You said, closing your eyes, basking in the warm sunshine that was streaming into the bus as it rattled along towards the rink.
You must have dozed off, Felix was shaking you slightly and telling you that the next stop was the rink. You sat up, smiling at him as he grabbed his bag from the floor in front of him, his hand grabbing yours as well.
"I can carry my own bag!" You whined, following him off the bus as it stopped, groaning as he handed you your bag, smirking.
"Take it then." He smiled, watching as you reached for it, turning away and continuing to walk away with it, flinging it onto his shoulder.
"Ugh, Lix!" You tried to wrestle it off him the rest of the way but he didn't give it up, carrying it into the foyer of the rink and down the stairs towards the ice, by this point you'd given up and accepted the gesture, only to have him hand it to you as he sat down on the bench next to the ice entry.
"Thanks." You said, grabbing it and then dropping it next to his.
"Oh, Y/N you're here too."
You both turned, seeing your coach coming down the stairs, his eyebrows raised slightly.
"Yeah, I'll just sit and watch." You said, smiling and plopping onto the bench.
"You aren't going to skate?" Felix asked, watching as you pulled your phone out.
"I will after." You said, the look on Felix's face making you laugh.
You sat on the bench for a while, deciding to move into a row of seats to get a better view, watching as Felix covered the ice with ease, something he'd always been good at, your eyes watching his footwork and his edge changes.
You grabbed your skates from your bag, moving back up to the seats as you began to take your laces out of your skates, trying anything to keep your mind off the memories that were made here yesterday you of course decided to do the most painful task, re-lacing your skates. "Good, show me some jumps, nothing too fancy."
The doors behind you opened, footsteps getting closer as you finished one skate, moving onto the other as Chris walked straight past you and sat down on the benches to the right of yours, his eyes flicking over to the bags on the ground, you knew he was there, but you could now feel his eyes on you as you struggled with a stubborn lace, yanking at it several times, swearing at it quietly, but loudly enough to cause your coach to turn to you, hearing him snort with laughter at your situation.
"Ha-ha." You said dryly, finally yanking the lace free, throwing it at him and grabbing the new one from the packet.
You stretched your back, eyes hovering over to Chris who had his back to you now, hearing Felix call your name, signaling you to come down and handing you his phone so you could record him. You stood next to the gate, recording Felix as he performed a couple double jumps, watching as he skated back over to you and leaned close to you so he could see the video.
"It looks good Lix." You said, handing his phone to your coach so he could see, watching him nod in agreement.
"Well, I'm happy with that, welcome to the team." Coach said, smiling at Felix as he handed him his guards.
"Wait, Felix is on our team now?" Came from Chris, you all turned, your coach explaining as you walked back up to grab your half laced skates, sitting down on the bench and finishing the second skate as your coach walked back up the stairs.
"Will you get on the ice now?" Felix asked, sitting next to you and fixing one of your laces.
"Fine." You said.
"Can we split the ice in half?" Chris said, catching you off guard, your eyes meeting his, something was different, was he actually pissed at you?
"What?" Felix laughed, looking at Chris.
You nodded, jogging around to the opposite exit where you had left the cones yesterday. ~~~~
"Dude, what's your issue?" Felix said, looking at Chris.
"I don't need her getting in my way." Chris spat, pulling his skates on and proceeding to push past Felix to step onto the ice.
Chris was pissed off, he'd come early hoping you'd be here alone so he could talk to you, little did you know he'd watched you arrive with Felix, watching him carry your bag for you as you whined at him, obviously something had happened between you both last night.
Chris skated around his end of the rink, warming up as he watched you pull your skates on and get onto the ice, quickly placing the cones down the middle. His eyes following you as you skated with Felix watching as you both started chasing each other around your section before you both got back into serious practice.
The only noise filling the rink was the scratching of skates, you were practicing the spin you fell out of yesterday, having Felix watch you so he could point faults out for you.
Chris watched as you pushed into the spin again, you let out a small yelp but managed to stick the spin, pushing out and groaning as you looked at Felix.
"You came in too sharp." Felix said, pushing out and showing you, Chris hearing you agree as your eyes found his.
He couldn't handle this anymore, were you just trying to rub it in his face now? He stormed off the ice, sitting at the bench, hearing skates coming close and guards being put on.
~~~~
"Go and talk to him Y/N." Felix said, skating away and practicing his jumps, you pushed off and skated to the gate, grabbing your guards and looking at Chris.
"What?" He said, looking up at you, his tone harsher then he wanted.
"Can we talk?" You asked, watching as his fingers pulled at his laces.
"Why?"
"Why? Because we need to talk." You said.
"We don't need to talk."
You idiot stop.
"Chris.." You whispered, reaching for his wrist, jumping as he flicked your hand away.
Stop, dude, you'll make it worse.
"Just spit it out Y/N, I don't have time for this."
You stood their quietly, chewing on your lip as you looked at his face, the anger he was showing, something you hadn't seen from him before.
"Do you at least want the cones kept out?" You asked quietly.
"Do whatever you want."
~~~~
He looked up at your face, watching as you chewed at your lip, nodding and turning to get back onto the ice as you stopped just inside the gate before skating off. He knew he should make the most of skating while Seojin wasn't here, tightening his laces again he stood up and walked to the gate, noticing his guards sitting on top of the boards.
"She didn't even nag about it" he thought.
Felix came skating to the gate as Chris got on, watching as he grabbed his bag and yours, proceeding to get back onto the ice with them as you opened the opposite gate, letting Felix out to dump your bags.
"Why is your bag so heavy!" Chris heard.
"It's not!" You laughed, lightly slapping Felix on the arm before skating off at full speed, Felix catching up to you easily.
Chris pulled his air pods out, shoving them into his ears as he tried to drown out your giggles. ~~~
The three of you skated for a good two hours, Chris some what putting together a basic routine, you and Felix had finally nailed the spin entry you were working on, getting it perfect so you no longer came in too sharp, you leaned against the boards as Felix sped past you, again your eyes panning over to Chris who was looking at his phone, his eyebrows furrowing.
"Want to go grab lunch?" Felix asked, looking in the direction you were.
You nodded, skating out and picking up the cones.
"Are you leaving?" Chris asked, turning his attention away from his phone and looking over at you.
You didn't respond, not bothering to look at him as you skated off, smiling as Felix handed you your guards in exchange for the pile of cones you had, his head turning to Chris before looking back at you.
You totally deserved that, asshole. Chris thought.
You sat down and proceeded to wipe your blades off, watching as Felix shoved his skates into his bag without any protection on them.
“Give me your skates.” You said, holding your hand out.
“Uh... why?” He asked as you sighed, reaching in and grabbing them out, proceeding to wipe his blades dry for him. “Oh, right.”
“You need blade protectors if you aren’t going to dry them off.” You said packing your skates away.
“Yes mom.” He laughed.
Felix grabbed your bag after you’d finished packing it, flinging it over his shoulder as you both walked around to the stair case that lead to the foyer.
You didn’t even look back, Chris was being an asshole so why should you even talk to him, as you got to the doors you groaned, the skies had clouded over and a light snow was falling, the first of the season.
“Even the weather wants my love life to suffer.” You sighed, leaning your head against Felix’s shoulder.
“You were going to confess?” Felix said, pointing at the doors to the ice which meant he was talking about Chris.
“It’s cheesy I know, but he obviously hates me after last night, I just wish he wasn’t such an asshole about it.”
“Give him a chance, he’s probably stressed because of Seojin being here.” Felix said, smiling at you as you bundled up in your thick jacket, following you as you pushed through the doors into the snow.
“Yeah, so stressed he’s kissing her.”
“Y/N....”
“I’m sorry, it’s just hard Lix, you know how much I like him.” You pushed your hands into your pockets, sighing as the snow became slightly heavier, thankful that the cafe was only a short walk.
As you stepped inside the cafe you brushed off the snow that had collected in your hair, watching as Felix shook himself free of snow, you walked over to the counter and ordered for you both as Felix found a seat near the back of the cafe.
“So, what happened to your rink?” You asked as you sat down, handing Felix his coffee and half of the cake slice you ordered.
“I don’t know, someone said the cooling system was broken.” He shrugged, pointing at the cake with a questioning look.
“Because I knew you’d try steal some.” You laughed.
“Thank yooouu.” He sang, pulling the plate closer to him and taking a sip of his coffee.
You smiled, turning to look out at the snow that was beginning to settle on the ground. It was the same as last time, you were going to confess, you got blindsided and then ended up pouring your heart out to Felix, who had to pick up the pieces that Chris shattered, luckily you weren’t in as many pieces this time but you were still thankful that he was here. You pulled out your phone as Felix’s buzzed on the table, opening your camera and trying to take pictures of the snow falling outside, hearing another shutter of a camera you looked, seeing Felix smirking at you as he messaged you the photo he just took.
“What was that for?” You smiled.
“So you don’t ask me to take one outside.” He said, taking a bite of his cake and wiggling in his seat a bit. “This is good!”
“Well since you mentioned it...” You started, hearing him groan and pout at you.
“Oh my god, it’s so cold!” You heard, feeling the smile disappear from your face, groaning as you put your head on the table as you looked at Felix, “He really had to bring her here didn’t he?”
“Don’t worry, they haven’t spotted us.” Felix said, patting your arm as you sat back up. “Do you want to leave?”
“Nope.” You smiled. “I have something else I want to ask you.”
“Okaaay.”
“Did you ever give him that present?” The look on Felix’s face was of confusion until he clicked.
“The necklace? Yeah, the day after it happened.”
You stared at him for a while, nodding slowly as you poked at your cake with the fork. “What happened with you two?”
“Like I said this morning Y/N, he said some things that pissed me off.” Sighing at the look on your face he finished by saying. “And no, I’m not telling you what he said. It’s something you need to talk to him about.”
“Yeah, if I ever get a chance to.” You sighed, your eyes travelling over to the seat where Chris was sitting, he look pissed off still, his head nodding randomly as Seojin rattled on about something, you watched as he hung his head back quickly, clearly frustrated as his eyes scanned the room, finding yours just as your attention was caught by Felix.
“Don’t stare too much, he’ll let Seojin know you’re looking if you do.” He joked, quickly stealing a piece of your cake as you turned back.
“Lix! You had your own!” You whined, pulling your plate closer to yourself as he reached for another piece.
~~~
As Chris spotted you he felt his heart skip a beat, watching as you protected your cake from Felix, he smiled lightly.
“Chris? What are you looking at?” Seojin asked, her eyes scanning the room and flicking back to him.
“Nothing, you were saying?” He said, thankful that she hadn’t spotted you.
“I was saying, that we should ask our old coach to teach us for pairs again.” She said, her fingers playing with the straw that was poking out of her coffee. “I heard your coach now doesn’t teach it.”
“Yeah, because of some accident with Y/N and her partner is what I heard.”
“WHAT?” Seojin shrieked, her hand grabbing his wrist as Chris jumped at the sudden outburst. “What do you know about the accident?!”
“That her partner dropped her and cut her calf with his blade, why are you so jumpy?”
“Oh, no reason, I just didn’t realise she’d had an accident.”
“Uh okay.” Chris said, his eyes flickering to you and Felix again, noticing that Seojins outburst had caught the attention of both of you, he sat staring at you for a few minutes watching as your eyes looked down at the table, your fingers fiddling with the fork on your plate.
“What are you staring at?!” Seojin groaned as she stood up looking around the cafe until she spotted you and Felix. “Oh my god, is she stalking you or something?”
“They were here when we walked in.” He stated, holding Seojins wrist tightly as she tried to move from the table. “Please don’t make a scene.”
“You said you don’t care about her anymore, why can’t you let me make a scene? She might leave you alone after that.”
Chris stood up, pulling his bag over his shoulder and dragging Seojin out of the cafe as she protested as loudly as she could, pulling the door open he sighed as she struggled against his grasp only letting her go once they were outside.
~~~
You watched as Chris and Seojin were arguing outside, turning to look at Felix who shrugged and watched as well, the argument getting heated as Seojin’s yells could be heard from inside the cafe, several other customers were now looking out the window.
“Should we...?” You asked, watching as Chris tried to walk away from the situation only to have Seojin grab his wrist.
Felix picked his phone up and tapped away at the screen, holding his phone to his ear as he turned to look at Chris outside, you watched as Chris shoved his hand into his pocket and pulled his phone out looking at you both through the window.
“You called him?” You asked, watching as Chris told Seojin to wait as he answered the phone, Felix putting in on speaker but turning the volume down so only you two could hear it.
“Do you need help? Give us a signal and we’ll save you.” Felix said jokingly.
“I’m fine, why are you calling?” Chris said as he turned away from a frustrated Seojin.
“Just making sure dude, it looks pretty heated out there, Y/N was worried.”
“Felix!” You yelled, reaching for him to playfully smack his arm.
“Okay, Okay!” He laughed, turning to look at Chris who was smiling slightly. “You are ok though?”
“I’m fine, seriously, I’m hanging up.” He said, the beep of the call ending following soon after, you glared at Felix who was busy giggling at your reaction to his small prank.
The gasp of several people in the cafe made you snap your head away from Felix, following their gaze to the front of the cafe you saw Chris rubbing his cheek, a red mark forming, the screech of your chair against the floor made Felix jump as his eyes saw where you were looking.
“I swear I’m going to hurt a bitch.” You said, beginning to make your way to the door only to be stopped by Felix. “Lix let me go, she can’t just hit people!”
“Y/N please, remember what you said to Rejin.” He said, pulling you back to your chair. He was right, you couldn’t go out there and slap her back, it wasn’t your fight but your heart ached seeing Chris holding his cheek, if you weren’t so upset with him you be out there making sure he was okay, you looked through the window as Seojin walked off, his eyes turning and catching yours as you pushed yourself out of your seat again, Felix jumping up and holding your wrist as you both watched Chris walk off.
“Do you want to head back to the rink?” He asked, looking at you as your face dropped slightly.
“Yeah, I want to get something from the skate shop.” You said, putting a smile on your face and grabbing your bag before Felix could.
As you walked into the small skate shop at the rink the girl behind the counter came bouncing over to you, smiling at Felix as she grabbed your hands.
“So tell me, this new male skater, what’s he like?” She asked, looking at you waiting eagerly for an answer.
You pointed to Felix who was standing next to you, watching as she shook her head.
“Nooo, Chris!”
“Oh, he’s nice.” You said awkwardly as Felix sniggered from behind you. “I used to skate pairs with him ages ago.”
“So that’s why he was almost drooling over your photo!” She laughed.
“Photo?” Felix said, looking around and spotting the board with pictures plastered all over it.
“I thought you took it down?!” You whined, walking over to the board and pointing it out to Felix, who laughed at all the kids that surrounded you.
“My mini class.” You told him, watching as he nodded his head. “That was after the accident.”
“So what did you need?” The girl asked, smiling at you.
You pointed at Felix. “He needs blade protectors.”
“You nag too much Y/N.” Felix said as the girl pulled several different types from the shelf to show him.
“I’m sorry, but if you’re going to skate on my coaches team you need to look after your skates, before I do it for you.”
He picked the bright yellow set, snatching them off him you brought it for him.
“She’s right you know.” The girl laughed as she handed you your change, waving to you as you left the shop and wandered out into the foyer only to find your coach standing with Chris and Rejin, waving you over.
As you walked over you looked at Chris, the redness on his cheek had gotten worse, you hoped he’d put ice, or something cold on it at least, he caught you looking at him making you look away as your coach sighed loudly.
“I was just about to call you, I have more bad news.”
Chris watched as you, Rejin and Felix walked past him and out the front door, his brain processing what he saw of your faces as you walked past, your face looked tear stained, Felix looked pissed off as did Rejin her glare focused on Seojin, your hand tightly around her wrist.
The hell happened in coaches office?
He struggled against Seojins grasp, trying to pull free and catch up but she had a tight hold.
"Can you let me go?" He snapped, the other boys who were standing around snickered as Chris flicked his wrist free, making Seojin step back.
"What's with you?" She said, watching as Chris pulled his phone out and dialled a number. "Who are you calling?"
There was no answer from Chris as his call went to voicemail, cancelling the call he turned to Seojin.
"No one."
"It better not be Y/N." She spat, glaring at Chris, lunging for his phone as he tried to place it in his pocket, Chris grabbing her wrist and looking at her.
"Are you serious..?!" He groaned, letting go and grabbing his bag, proceeding to walk towards the doors.
"Chris, wait." Seojin grabbed his wrist, turning him around and kissing him, the sound of the doors opening behind him broke them apart.
"Shit." Chris thought, seeing your face looking back at his.
~~~~~
Half way across the carpark you realised, your skating bag was still in your coaches office, you forgot it in the rush to wrangle Rejin past Seojin.
Telling Felix to wait for you at the bus stop you trudged back to the rink, fidgeting with your jacket, thinking about how things seemed so perfect this morning, the skin ship you and Chris shared, the closeness you had, how he held you, the feeling of his hands on your waist again, pushing the doors open you looked up, hearing voices, your eyes locking onto Seojin and Chris kissing.
"Can you not stare, it's creepy." Seojin hissed as you looked at Chris, feeling the look of hurt emerge on your face as you jogged past them both, almost breaking into a run as you rounded the corner, hearing heavy footsteps behind you and the shrieking of Seojin.
"CHRIS, DON'T."
You burst into your coaches empty office, grabbing your bag from the back of the chair and spinning around as Chris stopped at the door, panting as he looked up at you.
"Move." You stated, walking up to him, expecting him to move aside.
"Y/N, please." He breathed, blocking the door way, watching you sigh and look at the ground.
"What?"
"That." He said pointing towards the yelling of Seojin. "That was not what it looked like."
"You were kissing her! It's pretty simple Chris." You said, looking up at him, feeling your cheeks get warm.
"No I didn't!" He pleaded, watching your eyes sparkle as he grabbed your wrist and closed the door behind him.
You pulled your wrist free, glaring at him as he ran a hand through his hair.
"Your lips were on hers!" You yelled, tears beginning to run down your cheeks. "After everything we shared this morning, you go and kiss her!"
"This morning? We were just having fun Y/N, it didn't mean anything serious." He said, instantly regretting it upon seeing your face."Shit, no..Y/N." You felt the tears start to stream down your face, some dripping onto your hands others running down your neck, sobs coming so fast it was making it hard to breathe, he was right though, you weren’t serious or anything, laughing dryly you tried to calm yourself.
"No, it's fine, we were just having fun, right?" You spat, wiping your tears as you pushed past him and grabbed the door handle, Chris catching your free wrist.
"Please Y/N." He pleaded again, watching as your eyes watched his thumb on the back of your hand.
"You just said it wasn't anything serious, its fine, let me go." His grip tightening on your hand, your eyes meeting his, tears blurring your vision as you wriggled free, slamming the door open and walking out.
Biting your lip and keeping your head down as you blocked out the snarky comments coming from Seojin, pushing the large doors open and walking out into the cold night air, making it almost halfway out into the carpark before you fell onto your knees, the cold concrete reaching your skin quickly as your body shook with sobs.
You threw your skate bag off your shoulder as you buried your head into your hands, barely hearing footsteps and your name being called through your sobs, warm arms wrapping around you as you buried your face into the warmth.
"I hate him Lix!"
"Let's go, you can explain later." Felix said, grabbing your bag and swinging it over his shoulder, turning to see Chris and Seojin leaving the rink, Chris looking over at where you both were, his wrist trying to flick her off as she tugged on him, telling him something that made him turn away and continue walking.
"I HATE YOU!" You yelled, causing Felix to grab your shoulders and turn you towards the bus stop.
"Home, now." He said, pointing towards the shelter, following behind you as sobs continued to shake through your body.
Tears were still blurring your vision as you fiddled with your keypad on your door, Felix resting his hand on your shoulder.
"Let me, what's the code." He said rubbing your arm and pulling you into a side hug.
"0310" You mumbled, Felix smirking as he punched it in, looking back and seeing you pouting at him.
"Shut up." You said, dragging him inside. ~~~~ Chris watched as you ran out the door, his fists curling into balls as he stared at your back debating whether he should chase after you, his feet moving on their own as he ran after you but he only managed to get to the foyer before being stopped by Seojin.
“Did you finally tell her?” She asked, laughing slightly as she watched your figure out in the carpark.
“No.” Chris said, Seojin turning and groaning.
Chris watched as you stopped in the carpark, your shoulders shaking as you sobbed, he took a step forward, seeing you fall to your knees and throw your bag off your shoulder, watching as Felix sprinted over to you and pulled you into his chest.
You idiot. You fucked up so badly.
As Seojin dragged him out of the rink your voice echoed through the night air, causing him to jump, the pure hurt that it echoed made Chris’ eyes water slightly, his eyes darting to your figure in the dark night.
“I HATE YOU!”
Chris bit his lip, shaking Seojin off for what felt like the hundredth time today as he saw you forced to turn away, Felix getting mad at you and pointing towards the bus stop, he was glad that you had someone to look after you because of his screw up, yet he knew that eventually you’d be this mad at him again, he needed to tell you the real reason he changed partners, but that was going to screw things up even more.
“I’m going home.” He said, walking in front of Seojin. “Do not follow me.”
As he walked away he looked over at the bus stop one last time, barely making out your figure before the bus blocked his view, stuffing his hands in his pockets he turned, seeing Seojin had left, sighing in relief.
“This morning? We were just having fun Y/N, it didn't mean anything serious.”
“FUCK!” He yelled, throwing his bag down in front of him, the clatter of his skates echoed lightly, he sat on the small grass patch, digging his hands into his head, pulling at his hair and closing his eyes as your face flashed in his head.
  He sat there for a few minutes, his thoughts getting the better of him as he pulled his knees close and buried his face into them, he should just tell you now, but if he did he knew you’d never talk to him again. ~~~~ Chris sat, waiting for someone, the coffee in his hand providing some warmth on the cold morning, pulling his phone out he checked, still no reply from you, he wasn’t surprised, you always acted like this, childish and annoying.
The door to the cafe opening as he looked up, waving Felix over as he took a deep breath, getting ready to explain everything until Felix started first.
“What did you do to her man?” He asked, sitting down and pulling his own phone out. “She was on a call with me last night, crying her eyes out.”
“Oh my god, seriously?” Chris asked, rolling his eyes. “I just changed skating partners.”
Felix leaned back in his chair, looking at Chris with a disapproving look, the confusion on Chris’ face making Felix sigh loudly.
“You’re such an idiot.” Felix said, shaking his head.
  “What...Why?”
“Dude, she was so excited to skate with you, she told me several months ago, before you both started pairs.” Felix stated, his coffee arriving, watching Chris as he took a sip.
“Could have fooled me, she wasn’t putting any effort into it.”
  Chris knew he was making excuses, he knew you were a bit freaked out by the heights and lifts in pairs, but he needed this, no, he wanted this so badly, to him you weren’t putting in the effort.
“So you planned this? You actually lied to her as well, telling her you had no idea, when you had already decided to ditch her?”
“You know I’ve always liked Seojin anyway, so It was bound to happen.” Chris shrugged.
“Yet you brought Y/N that bracelet.” Felix said, pointing at the charm hanging from Chris’ wrist. “She loved that thing, she’s pretty upset at you if she took it off.”
“I could just give it to Seojin.”
“Yeah, kick Y/N while she’s down and tear her heart out too man.”
  Chris’ head snapped up at the last comment, what did he just say?
“What did-“
  “You heard me Chris, if you even think of giving Seojin that charm you’ll break Y/N’s heart, even more.” Felix stared at Chris. “Are you really that blind?”
“What?”
“She’s liked you since you were in mini lessons together.” Felix stated, watching as Chris buried his head into his hands. “She thought so highly of you man, but you go and dump her when she’s struggling.”
“You’re kidding, she’s upset because she had a crush?”
The scraping of Felix’s chair caused heads to turn but he didn’t care, he was pissed off and Chris could see it.
“I listened to her pour her whole heart out to me last night and you think I’m here to fuck around with you?” Felix said, pulling something out of his pocket as he looked at Chris. “She wanted to give this to you for your birthday, but since you’ve now fucked up the surprise party she had planned, she asked me to give it to you.”
He slammed the small box down in front of Chris and watched as he opened it, the pair of skates dangling from a thin chain in the box, the light catching an engraving that was on the back of the charm.
‘To our first worlds competition! Y/N’
“Go ahead and act dumb Chris, but she actually loved you, don’t worry I’ll keep your secret, that you planned it all, but I don’t want anything to do with you right now.” Felix said, walking past Chris and pushing the door open.
Chris sat, looking at the engraving on the charm, why was his heart aching so badly?
~~~
Pulling the small chain out from beneath his shirts he twirled the small pair of skates in his fingers, turning it over and looking at the engraving, closing his fist around it and holding it close to him as he looked up at the moon shining brightly. He now knew why his heart ached so badly that day, the feeling growing again as he sat, repeating what he said to you in his head.
This morning? We were just having fun Y/N, it didn't mean anything serious.
This morning meant everything to him, yet he just fucked it all up within five minutes.
"You can't let them do this!" You protested as you and Chris followed your coach to his office.
"You know what some of those people put me through!"
"Y/N, I'm sorry but I cant do anything, the rink manager had decided this himself." Your coach said, rubbing his temples as you protested.
"Ugh!" You screeched, causing Chris to jump.
You slammed the door open and made your way down the hall, Chris jogging after you, watching you stop and grasp at your chest, you could feel yourself beginning to panic.
"Y/N, you're gonna be ok." Chris said, grabbing you and pulling you into his chest, letting you sob into his shoulder.
"W-why us." You hiccupped as Chris shushed you.
"Shhh, at least we get to see Felix again." He said, rocking you side to side.
This was true, the only good thing about this was Felix was going to be skating at the same rink as you again, but this also meant that Chris and Felix were competition for ice time.
~~~~
Chris felt you sobbing against him, he had no idea that you'd react like this, but it also made him question if more had happened after you left, you were almost in a full blown panic attack at the mention of your old coach, but he knew you'd tell him when you were ready.
"Let's go and wait for Felix." He whispered, feeling you nod against his chest.
He pulled you along as you both walked back to the foyer, Rejin jumping up as she saw you both.
"No luck?" She asked as she watched Chris sit you down.
"Nope" He said, holding your hand and sitting on the arm of the chair.
"God, this is not going to end well." Rejin said, groaning and looking at her phone, jumping as more loud shouting echoed through the foyer, Chris slumped down in a chair next to you.
"Coach you can't be serious! We don't need more ice time taken by skaters!" Came from the other hall, all three of you snapping your head up to see half the hockey team following their coach, looking the same as you all felt.
"Managers orders, sorry." The coach said, shrugging.
"That's such bull!" Protested several members.
They swore loudly and turned, seeing the three of you slumped in your chairs.
"You've heard then?" Said Sungoh.
You all nodded as they all groaned and started walking back the way they came, just as the doors at the main entry burst open, Chris jumping to his feet and moving towards the doors.
~
"Channieeeee!!" Came screaming from the front doors, causing you to tense up, her voice was the same, annoying, high pitched.
The blur of hair and clothes ran from the door right into Chris' arms, Seojin almost koala hugging him as he tried to push her off a bit.
"Wait, what the hell was this kind of greeting?"
"Channie?" You thought. "I used to call him that."
Your eyes flickered back to the door, spotting Felix walking in, you jumped up, your body moved on it's own, sprinting out of your chair and almost bowling him over as he hugged you tightly, spinning you around.
"Ugh, get a room." Came from behind you, letting go of Felix you turned, scowling at Seojin as you saw her grab Chris' hands and lace her fingers with his, his lack of protest something you found odd.
You know what shes like, Chris told you only several hours ago, but he didnt seem so phased now, her fingers were intertwined with his, just like how yours had been earlier. Felix softly grabbed your hand and turned you towards him. "Just ignore it. She's just trying to piss you off." He said, as he watched you turn your head towards Chris again. "Well its working." You whispered, sighing and turning to look at Felix.
~~~~~
Chris tried pushing her off, did she really need to be like this in front of you? He watched as you ran to Felix, watching how he hugged you tightly and smiled.
Why didn't you just say sorry to her, stupid.
His hands were trapped by Seojin's, her fingers squeezing at his hands as he smiled weakly.
"Chrisss, I haven't found a new skating partner." She whined in his ear. "Skate with me again!"
Chris laughed, his eyes snapping to Seojin as she pouted and glared at him, her hands getting a tighter grip on his.
"Why?" He asked, catching your eyes as you turned around again, you looked just as upset as earlier, he could see the sparkle of tears in your eyes.
"Now now Channie, remember, play nice or I tell Y/N everything." She whispered, letting go of him and bouncing over to Rejin who was glaring at her.
Right, he thought, if you knew everything you'd hate him for sure, he should have just told you the truth all those years ago, even if it meant hurting you even more back then.
"Y/N."
Chris turned, seeing your current coach waving you over, watching as you grabbed your bag from the chairs next to him, signalling Felix to follow you.
"Teachers pet much." Seojin spat from behind him.
"Yeah, not as bad as you though Seojin." Teased one of the other skaters who had come from the old rink.
She stormed over to him and grabbed his arm, yanking him away as Chris watched, even from here Chris could tell Seojin was pissed off at that comment.
~~~~
"Y/N, you know there's nothing I can do about this, but are you sure you'll be ok?" Your coach asked, watching you and Felix sit down across from him.
"Yeah, it was so long ago, I'll be fine." You replied, almost hearing Felix question what this was about due to his head snapping between you both.
Your coached pointed at Felix, looking at you as he sighed.
"He doesn't know." You said, a squeak of confusion coming from Felix.
"Um...Fill me in?" He said, looking at your coach for an answer, only for your coach to point at you.
"It happened at Pairs Skating Nationals." You said, looking at Felix as your heart began to race, fiddling with your fingers as you tried to explain.
The warmth of his hand finding yours as you continued to talk.
"We were out on the ice for warm-ups, this must have been after Chris had left her, Seojin was in our group and was skating really recklessly, skating too close, crossing others in their path."
Felix squeezed your hand, your face starting to become tear stained.
"Our old coach pulled her over and talked to her, egging her on as we went past, I heard him say 'Just do it'. We kept skating, practicing lifts and avoiding them as much as possible.
Felix was now darting his head between the both of you, the look of shock on his face.
"W-we were coming around the corner and starting to lift when they screamed past us, into our path, my partner at the time freaked and dropped me in front of him, he tripped over me, his blade catching the top of my calf, next thing I know Seojin is skating towards me, slipping on the ice, her blade came up and got my lower thigh, as well as knocking my head into the boards." You turned your calf to show Felix, the scar on your leg that was aching slightly.
"Wait. The collision at Nationals? That was planned?! That was Seojin?!" He shouted, looking from your coach to the scar, as he gasped.
"Our old coach was just l-laughing, the ISU did nothing." You sobbed, squeezing Felix's hands as he pulled you close.
"Now, people don't know the full story, they've been told it was a collision between partners at practice. The ISU is tight with your current coach Felix, they made sure to cover it up."
"Not even Chris?" He asked, pushing you back so he could see your face, sighing as you shook your head.
"I saw the article, but there was no mention of the skaters, if I'd known it was you Y/N I'd-"
"It's okay Lix." You mumbled into his chest.
"So, I'm not sure what to do." Your coach said, looking at your figure sobbing into Felix. "Well, in all honesty there is nothing I can do, this was the rink managers decision."
"Do you have any openings for skaters?" This caused your head to snap up and look at Felix, wiping your eyes as he smiled at you.
"Lix, you don't-"
"Don't have to? Why would I skate under someone like that?" He smiled, tilting his head at your coach.
"If you're sure then Welcome aboard." Your coach said, shaking hands with Felix just as the door to his office burst open.
Rejin stormed in pointing at the door as it closed behind her. "That girl, is a psycho, you cannot let her skate here."
You coach pointed at Rejin, looking at you as you shook your head again.
"What?" She asked, looking at you all and groaning as she was sat down and told the full story.
"I'm sorry?!" Rejin spat, looking between you and your coach. "That psycho, out there?"
Nodding you looked at Rejin as she got up, storming out the door, you jumped up, running after her and pulling her back into the office.
"Y/N let me at her, please." Rejin begged, whining as you stood in front of the door.
"You can't. Her coach is tight with the ISU, if we try anything its our heads on the chopping block." You said, watching Rejin roll her eyes, he shoulders dropping as you moved away.
She nodded and calmly walked out the door, you and Felix saying bye to your coach and following after her, hoping she didn't try anything as you walked towards the group.
"Let's go get something to eat, we can skate tomorrow." Felix said, grabbing your hand and almost pulling you along, your head turning towards the large windows that look over the ice, thinking about how everything was so perfect this morning.
