Gent, Music Kiosk on the Kouter
In 1878, A.Pauli, as city architect, decided that a music kiosk should be built on the square where many Ghent residents took their Sunday stroll.
The wrought iron construction was placed on a natural stone plinth. The roof, topped by a frost crest, bears the names of 4 famous composers (Mozart, Gretry, Rossini and Auber). This roof is supported by slender columns. At the bottom, these columns are connected by an elegant openwork parapet.

Rehabilitation of the Ghent victims of witch-hunting
No fewer than 44 women, 15 men and 1 boy were accused of witchcraft in Ghent between 1364 and 1713. The majority of these cases played out at the start of the seventeenth century and not, as is often believed, in the Middle Ages. Gossip and wild rumours were often sufficient grounds for arrest and torture. Numerous victims met a gruesome end at the stake. It is high time that they were rehabilitated.

Gent Belgium - Capitol Graaf Van Vlaanderen Plein
Always thought these ornamental architectural details were done in cement or plaster, but apparently these ones are cast iron.
