“AI art isn’t real art” boring, pedantic, relies on defining the undefinable and an ever changing goalpost of what Real Art is.
“AI art is fueled by massive art theft” correct, concrete demonstration of the harm it’s doing to actual human beings and not just the nebulous concept of Art Itself.
“The miracle machine that gives us anything we ask for isn’t the problem, it’s that we’re punished for not being able to compete with the miracle machine.”
Art AI is just another tool not much different than ones we’ve been using for decades, the problem is not the tool but those that value money and property over people’s livelihood and passion, and trying to create harmful software to profit off of people’s compromised safety.
And trying to define art and mass banning something as ambiguous as “AI art” is only going to cause more harm than good.
^^^^ this is only going to come with kicking people out for “AI art” even if it wasn’t- or partially used for a project even if they did something hand drawn and create unnecessary rifts
- DONT put peoples faces or any living creator’s art in the AI (especially AI you don’t know much about like random apps)
- DO put public domain art or art by large companies
