Freyr is Delusional #1
I experimented with clip studio paint once again. It’s been awhile since I’ve drawn Freyr, he’s a favorite of mine. There are 3 other pages to this but I drew them in procreate. So, this takes place shortly after Kratos recruits Freya, so they’re still a bit on edge with one another.
It’s been awhile since I’ve drawn, I was doing it daily but school got in the way and now I’m sort of rusty, lol.

The Atreus and Freya bits inspired me 🥹
The boy’s fever grows. No matter her efforts; he sweats and whimpers and burns, and Freya feels her stomach twist with a fear she had long thought lost to her.
Each creak and groan of Chaurli around her makes her eyes turn anxiously to the doorway; would his father manage in time? She fusses with balms and powders to lay on Atreus’ forehead, wipes away the beading sweat as he squirms and whines at her touch.
“It’s alright,” she soothes, resting her hand gently over his chest. She wills her magic to life, to heal at least the discomfort. To break even the slightest touch of fever, but Atreus is pale and weak in her bed, and Freya feels the fear deepen.
His eyes flutter wildly behind his eyelids, his breaths wheezing and thick in his lungs, and Freya watches his eyes peel open briefly. Dazed and unseeing with sickness.
“M-mother…?” he mumbles, searching her face. “Mother?”
Freya feels her chest wrench open; cracking down to the marrow. She sets herself down on the bed, gathering Atreus into her arms. She brushes her hand through his sweat-damp hair—so red and fair, but in the dark firelight of her home, it is so much like Baldur’s. “It’s alright, sweet boy,” she whispers. “Just rest. You’ll be alright. Your father will be here soon.”

So, I’m going to be going on Hiatus for awhile since my college courses begin this week and I really need to focus.
