Queership readers,
For the past year, we’ve loved bringing you queer science fiction & fantasy content from around the globe, talking with authors and other publishing professionals, curating lists, and working behind the scenes to stay abreast of upcoming releases, bandy ideas in our Slack group, and work to build our little community. It’s been a treasure, an honor, and a joy to enter your inboxes, hang out in your bookmarks, and interact with you on social media.
Unfortunately, 2017 was a year of change and upheaval for most of our staff, and we’ve collectively made the decision to close our doors at the end of this month. However, as we close down, another site rises in our place: Queer Books for Teens is a site created and curated by librarians, which covers all genres. There's also Dahlia Adler's incomparable LGBTQ Reads.
Thank you so much for supporting us in this venture. We’re grateful for the time we were able to spend with all of you.
From all of us here at Queership, we wish you the very best 2018.

top ten books i read in 2017
At The Edge Of The Universe by Shaun David Hutchinson
“I didn’t even need to check my phone to know that the universe had shrunk again, and the stars had vanished… No. They hadn’t vanished. I’d given them away to someone who hadn’t deserved them, and I’d never get them back.”

Do you know of any fantasy books featuring a m|m relationship where it’s not the main point of the book? Something maybe similar to the shadow hunters? Thanks!!
Try RUNEBINDER by Alex Kahler, or if you want books that have an ensemble with m/m pairings in them, check out SIX OF CROWS by Leigh Bardugo and THE GIRL AT MIDNIGHT by Melissa Grey.

Any cute transboy/f YA ?
WHEN THE MOON WAS OURS by Anna-Marie McLemore is more stunningly beautiful than cute, but I still have to mention it! NOT YOUR VILLAIN by CB Lee is probably the cutest, though it’s not A Romance, just FYI. I think JAYA AND RASA by Sonia Patel is a very intense one, but there aren’t a ton of transboy/cis f YAs, so I figure it’s worth a mention too. There’s also an *extremely* cute YA coming up that’s a cis f/genderqueer (he/him) romance that I definitely have to rec called THE BRIGHTSIDERS by Jen Wilde.

Do you have any recs for fantasy book featuring a f/f relationship similar to mistborn? If u dont know that book i basically mean a fantasy book with more action in it than something like of fire and stars
I haven’t read MISTBORN but based on that I definitely rec OTHERBOUND by Corinne Duyvis, LABYRINTH LOST by Zoraida Cordova, THE SEAFARER’S KISS by Julia Ember, and THE CURSED QUEEN by Sarah Fine!

do you have any recommendations for a wlw story set in a magical world? with queens? Sorry if you've answered this before, I couldn't find anything!
No worries! The Cursed Queen by Sarah Fine is a great one, though it works better if you read the m/f (but still bi) The Impostor Queen first. I also love love love Girls Made of Snow and Glass by Melissa Bashardoust. And for some reason I cannot remember if there’s magic in Of Fire and Stars by Audrey Coulthurst? But read it anyway ;)

books I read in 2018 → the gentleman´s guide to vice and virtue by mackenzi lee
∟  “It is remarkable how much courage it takes to kiss someone, even when you are almost certain that person would very much like to be kissed by you. Doubt will knock you from the sky every time.”

READ IN 2018 - chainbreaker (tara sim)
Blood spread. The Tower trembled. Bells rang. Time shivered. The world descended into chaos and the impulse and the slowing of the second hand—tick.
A tremor in the air as time began to unravel.
Tock.
