Ketheric was like a little puppet for the Gods and that still haunts me.

Imagine feeling abandoned by your Goddess after your wife and daughter die. So you turn to her sister since she represents loss only for that Goddess to feed off your grief till you’re a shallow husk of your former self and committing heinous atrocities in her name. Only for the grief to completely consume you to madness & lead you to your downfall. Only to be discarded again when the purpose was served. Shits fucked. And then yoink, here comes Myrkul, choosing Ketheric with a promise of bringing his daughter back. Ketheric choices were his own ofc but it still weighs on me how the Gods pawned off him like that.

And now he can’t even see his wife in death. That’s devastating to me.

Earlier this afternoon I saw a funny meme about a relationship dynamic and it just inspired me to draw these two together for the fun of it (or is it just for the fun of it? lol with me you will never know lololol).

@nyanykamito you wrote *exactly* where my brainstorming was going, and omg I loved what you wrote so much I couldn't really stop reading it yesterday night. Like, I started this artwork and worked on it until I felt my eyes closing, BUT I HAD TO FINISH IT BY TODAY.

BECAUSE OMG I COULDN'T GET THE IMAGE OUT OF MY HEAD.

Like, while I was reading, it just conjured up and I was like "OMGG YES. THIS GONNA BE THEM, OMGOMGOMG".

Also, I just love love the idea that after Luscinia stole Ardyn's coat, he retaliated and stole her silken scarf, keeping it "hostage" as well until she gave him back his coat. (And goddamnit, that coat is *enormous* on her.)

I will not apologize for becoming more cautious and guarded about sharing my passion for Assassins Creed. I will still share stuff here and there, and I would go to then ends of the earth defending Basim, but I will not be played a fool again. Never again.

I can perhaps count on one hand how many people I trust wholeheartedly to allow myself to infodump, and ramble about my various analysis. On that same hand I can perhaps count the number of people I feel safe enough to muse about my canon x oc ships with.

Spoiler alert: It’s not much.

Now my AC special interest has been going 3 years strong at this point. It means everything to me. And earlier this year I had a (now ex) friend walk out on me. Although we hadn’t talked as much as much leading up to it due to life things, I wasn’t expecting a falling out to occur. And while it broke my spirits at first, it made me more callous then anything. I parted ways peacefully with them, but after reflecting, I realized how imbalanced our “friendship” was and how unhealthy it was for me to be practically walking on eggshells by the end of it all. I had made errors, but I should not have been punished in a way that instilled fear into talking my passions with them. I apologized and atoned for my mistakes. I bent over backwards to make them happy. To be the best friend I could be. And what did I get in return? Stress, panic attacks, meltdowns, fear of abandonment, months of silence if I didn’t reach out, etc. I was by no means a perfect friend, but I did my damned best. And now, once again, because someone felt I was “too much” with my fixations and needs (from my anxiety & autism) I have my walls up again. I will share bits of AC, but in order to hold what is dear to me, and not get hurt again, I will not be open about it.

I am not sorry.
