another repost of a masterlist of a story that i want to read. hopefully it won't get lost this time.
Taekook: Brighter Days (Masterpost)
Taehyung works the streets at night, sells his body for money. It’s not exactly a choice that he has made for himself, but how else can he possibly pay the bills for his shitty room with the dripping faucet and the moldy mattress? He’s alive and he has a place to sleep, and that’s enough for now. But that all changes when one night a client hears him sing in the shower and offers him a deal he can’t refuse. It sounds absurd, it really does, but suddenly Taehyung finds himself training to become a K-pop idol and he is set out to debut with a group called Bangtan Sonyeondan. Adapting to a life so different from his past is hard, and trust is a foreign concept to Taehyung these days, but now he is supposed to rely on six strangers to help him lead a better life. Needless to say, Taehyung is not entirely convinced that he can trust them.
GENRE: Angst, Fluff, Hurt/Comfort WARNINGS: past non-con and abuse

Step #01. to Learning the Japanese Language Learn Hiragana, one-fourth of the Japanese writing system (hiragana, katakana, kanji, rōmaji)
Context:
Why is it called a “syllabary” and not an “alphabet”?
While the English “alphabet” is composed of consonant and vowel letters that represents various sounds, the Japanese “syllabary” is composed of characters that each must represent exactly one syllable. Since a syllable consists of a syllable nucleus (typically, a vowel) with optional initial and/or final margins (typically, consonants), a consonant by itself cannot constitute a whole syllable. This means that each character in the Japanese language must either be a stand-alone vowel or a consonant-vowel union.
Notice how in the table presented each Japanese character either includes one vowel or is a vowel itself to ensure that each character is exactly one syllable. The one exception to this is the character ん, which, while still qualifies as a single syllable in Japanese, is the equivalent of the English consonant “n” by itself.
What is hiragana used for?
・ okurigana, kana suffixes following a kanji root (e.g. verb and adjective inflections) ・ various grammatical function words (e.g. particles) ・ native Japanese words in which kanji form is nonexistent, obsolete, obscure, or overly formal  ・ nothing, anything, or everything, completely dependent on how the writer feels creatively ・ more In short:  as far as everyday language goes, you will see hiragana in 99.9% of written Japanese
Getting Started:
Base characters:
The base characters consist of:
・ the 5 vowels (a, i, u, e, o) used in the Japanese language ・ the 40 consonant-vowel unions using the five vowels and the consonants k, s, t, n, h, m, y, r, and w ・ and the single consonant n (ん).
These 46 characters are referred to as the base characters because all other hiragana characters are written using them as a base.  And what this means for new learners of the Japanese language is that once you learn the first 46 characters, you’ll also be able to write all 104 modern-use hiragana characters!
Base characters with ゃ, ゅ, or ょ yōon add-on:
These characters are formed by combining a consonant-vowel union character ending with the letter “ i ”  (き, し, ち, に, ひ, み, り) with a small version of the ゃ, ゅ or ょ consonant-vowel union character.
These compound characters are called yōon (拗音), or, “palatalized sound.”
*As an effect of the “palatalization,” the sound of the “ i”  in the respective consonant-vowel union character used is dropped (i.e. きゃ, きゅ, and きょare pronounced “kya,” “kyu,” “kyo” as opposed to “kiya,” “kiyu,” “kiyo”).
Base characters modified by dakuten/handakuten:
These characters are formed by modifying certain consonant-vowel  union characters with either a dakuten (濁点), or, a handakuten (半濁点). Dakuten and handakuten are marks attached to consonant characters to turn them from voiceless to voiced and look like such respectively:
゛(dakuten)                                           ゜ (handakuten)
For the most part, this means that the sounds will change as such: k→g          s→z          t→d          h→b
However, there are certain characters that exhibit peculiarities: shi→ji          su→zu          chi→ji          tsu→zu
Further, the “h” consant-vowel union characters are the only set that  undergo modification by the handakuten, which results in the sound change of: h→p          as opposed to          h→b     (dakuten modification)
Base characters modified by dakuten/handakuten with ゃ, ゅ, or ょ yōon add-on
This is the same as base characters with ゃ, ゅ, or ょ yōon add-on, just with the base characters being modified by dakuten or handakuten beforehand!
Miscellaneous
(classification, pronunciation, grammatical marks, general usage)
Hiragana and katakana are called the two kana systems of Japanese because they are both syllabic scripts. The two character sets also directly correspond to each other, which means they have the exact same amount of characters that are all pronounced the exact way, just written differently.
The characters ゐ (wi) and ゑ (we) are considered obsolete in modern Japanese. Further, the characters ぢゃ, ぢゅ, and ぢょ are seldom, only really appearing to indicate a voiced consonant in the the middle of a compound word in a process known as rendaku (連濁), or, sequential voicing.
When used as particles, the characters は and へ are pronounced “wa” and “e” respectively, as opposed to “ha” and “he.”
Despite belonging to the set of “w” consonant-vowel union characters, the character を is pronounced as “o” (the same as a vowel お) as opposed to “wo” when it is used as a particle. Incidentally, it is preserved in modern Japanese language for only one use: as a particle.
The nasal character ん is unique in that not only is it the only standalone consonant character in the Japanese language but also in that its pronunciation differs depending on the sound immediately succeeding it. (Various pronunciations include: “n,” “m,” “ng,” etc.)
Long vowels are represented in the Japanese language by either a repeat of the respective first vowel character used or by the long vowel mark “ー.” This mark is called a chōonpu (長音符). The former is the more standard approach for hiragana, while the “ー” is usually reserved for katakana, although there are special cases in which words written in hiragana will also employ its usage.
Another mark used in the Japanese language, っ, known as the sokuon (促音) or more informally as the small tsu (つ) due to its appearance, does not appear in any actual individual characters but commonly appears once characters are used to form words and sentences. The sokuon indicates that the consonant that immediately follows after it is doubled. This not only can result in different words altogether (過去, spelled in kana as かこ, is the word for “past,” while 括弧, spelled in kana as かっこ, is the word for “parenthesis”) but also has an effect on pronunciation, e.g. wherein the latter example word, かっこ, exhibits a pause before the pronunciation of the final こ character. Due to the nature of its function, the sokuon cannot appear at the very beginning of a word. It also cannot appear before a vowel character (あ, い, う, え, お) or characters that begin with the consonant n, m, r, w, or y. For characters that begin with the consonant n, the character ん is used in place of a sokuon to indicate the same doubling effect. Lastly, the sokuon does not appear before characters that begin with fully voiced consonants (g, z, d, or b) or the non-voiced “h” consonants except for in loan-words (these words are written in katakana as opposed to hiragana) and unique cases of native Japanese, such as dialects.
Alongside the small versions of the y consonant-vowel union kana (ゃ, ゅ, and ょ) and the small version of つ, っ, the Japanese language uses small versions of the five Japanese vowels (あ, い, う, え, お) to represent sounds that trail off. In this usage that is considered informal, the small vowel version will immediately follow its respective normal-sized vowel (e.g. あぁ or えぇ), wherein it is possible that that normal-sized vowel is nested within a consonant-vowel union character (e.g. ねぇ as “nee”) to indicate a fading sound.

part 4 of taekook photographer/model AU: jungkook’s website update + couple interview. - Q: just recently, there is a new category on jungkook’s website that is called ‘dear jk’. can you tell us more about it? V: i added it! i took all the photos that are posted on that category by myself. isn’t jungkook handsome? my face is all over his website, so i thought, why don’t jungkook’s too? JK: of course your face would be all over my website. you are the model since the start, taehyung.  V: alright, i’ll admit that i just want to spread the love. i am you number one fan after all. JK: that reminds me, my senior in the photographer community told me that my blog is slowly becoming a taehyung fansite instead of a photography blog. i might as well be one, actually. i am his number one fan after all. V: people will get sick of me if they only see my face all the time though! JK: no way, tae. joke aside, i started my blog with posting photos of scenery and taehyung anyway, and have been consistently doing so. therefore, i believe my blog has stayed the same since the beginning until now. well, aside from the addition of dear jk and vlogs. Q: the two of you have been working together a lot for recent photoshoots. JK: that is true. i used to focus solely on landscape and panorama, but my senior told me to expand my knowledge and skills by also trying other genres, so i decided to take up offers from fashion magazines too. it has been an interesting experience. i’m also interested in aerial photography, i would like to try it one day. Q: since both of you are currently the rising youths in your respective fields, there must also be people who are trying to bring you down. how do you deal with such challenge? V: i want to be cool and say that i don’t care, but the person behind v is after all, just an ordinary human namely kim taehyung. i do feel down and scared, but i am also really lucky because i have jungkook by my side. whenever i start to listen to strangers’ voices, jungkook would comfort me and tell me that everything is going to be alright.  JK: what people say and think about us are beyond our control. the truth is, however, it’s he and i that know about ourselves the best, so i always tell myself to just work harder for the sake of our dreams. V: jungkook has grown to be so much stronger and more mature over the years. sometimes i can’t believe that he is the same kid that was so unsure about his dream before, but i’m glad that he is the way he is now. JK: and taehyung is actually much more sensitive than he appears to be. he thinks a lot when he is alone. we do have ups and downs, but we also have deep faith in each other, and that makes us stronger.  Q: do you have any goals for the future? JK: i want to travel around the world and takes lots of wonderful photographs with taehyung. it will be really fun to capture all the differences of each culture and scenery of one city and another. V: me too! we have had this goal since the beginning, and i can’t wait until the day we can finally turn it into reality.   - [ part 1: rough draft || part 2: taehyung’s interview || part 3: jungkook’s interview ]

do u know any tumblr BTS fan artist who make art with just/or mostly with Copic markets?
there was a time where i was too scared to try different mediums so i was a solely copic marker artist for the first couple months of my time as a bts fanartist? during that time i met a lot of people who were like me! i don’t think there is anyone who is exclusive to copics at the moment… they have delved into other art techniques too!
@eternalxgyu
pan is the cutest and her copic art is to die for~ (and in colour!) her attention to detail in traditional is no joke. she also does digital, but her style translates almost seamlessly so it’s hard to tell the difference between the two mediums at first glance
@appolesart also does copic marker drawings among other amazing digital works!
please check these people out! if you know of other copic marker artists, please let me know ^^
