Choose
I have told you to choose so choose
Between death upon my chest
Or on top of my notebooks of poetry
Choose love, or no love
For it is cowardice for you to not choose
There is no middle ground
Between heaven and hell
Throw in all your cards
And I will be satisfied with any decision
Tell me, be passionate, explode
Don’t stand like a nail
It is not possible for me to remain forever
Like straw beneath the rains
Choose a fate between two
And nothing is more violent than my fates
You’re exhausted and scared
And my journey is very long
Sink in the sea, or go away
There is no sea without whirlpools
Love is a big opponent
Sailing against the current
Crucifixion, torture and tears
And an exodus between the moons
Your cowardice is killing me woman!
Pull back the curtain
I do not believe in love
That does not bear the rashness of agitation
That does not break down all walls
That does not strike like a whirlwind
Ah, If your love swallows me
Pluck me out like a whirlwind
I have told you to choose so choose
Between death upon my chest
Or on top of my notebooks of poetry
Choose love, or no love
For it is cowardice for you to not choose
There is no middle ground
Between heaven and hell

Drowning
Missing you comes in waves,
And tonight I’m drowning
Overhead the tides crash and thunder,
Ripping sand from the shore asunder
Yet this silence is resounding
This silence that you left me in
Shuts out all light, lets no oxygen in
As it drags me down its murky depths
I more clearly hear my heart pounding
Once, it was filled with feeling,
Bursting at the seams
Once, we toasted glasses of hope,
Brimming, overflowing with dreams
We had great wars,
And equally resplendent celebrations
We had sparks of passion,
That ignited the most vicious of escalations
With you I was high,
Reaching the limits of elevations
With you I felt - I used to feel
The ecstasy was numbing
Yet the hurt ever so real
I pray we live forever,
In the company of others
But may these mortal wounds never heal
The wood is now damp, the sparks no longer catch
The waves engulf me in their froth
As they extinguish this fire
The tide drags me further out,
I’m forced to relinquish my desire
I drift off,
I acquiesce to my surroundings
Missing you comes in waves,
And tonight I’m drowning.

“I thought it was the end — it was the end of it. It was the moment when I lost you. Little did I know I had to lose you more than once. You think I lost you over the last text messages we exchanged, but it was not it. I lost you the next morning again when your name no longer appeared on my phone screen. I lost you once more when my friend said my eyes have lost their shine and I lost you one more time when I picked up my phone to dial your number until I realised that my love was suffocating you and you wanted to breathe. I lose you every time I miss you and realise that you don’t miss me at all.” by memoirsofbilal (via Instagram)
— and I’m still losing you
