I find that jj gives you maybe too much freedom to choose who to hang out with sometimes. you'll just randomly see kai carrying a bunch of books, and you'd think that's just neji being neji. but if you happen to hang out with neji a few weekends prior, you'll know it's because enishi caught on to him making a mini library of his own. and in neji's character story, which happens during the newcomers' performance arc, apparently mitsuki already reprimanded neji before about making kai his errand boy lol. but you could easily miss all of that if you were just hanging out with one person!! fascinating, but also frustrating lol

#tumblr polls#as someone who lives on/near the equator. i really want to say cold temp but realistically i know i can't handle -6C bc i've never been#to a place lower than 16C probably. i can probably handle 10C or smth but negative?? nah#35C is fine if it's not humid and it's even nice beach weather tbh#35C in a humid place is awful though. right now we get ~36C temp but the heat index is more like 42C#it's an ongoing issue like people are passing out in the heat rn#anyway. you can swim in high heat but idk what “hanging out” in -6C entails

#tumblr polls#depends on what i wanna do but generally keyboard#for longform writing and because i code. and i like the tactile experience. it helps with touch typing which is faster#and a lot of typing for code becomes muscle memory. e.g. i cannot tell you vim/vscode shortcuts. my hands know them but my brain forgot lol#(never formally learned the “proper” way to touch type but I CAN type without looking at the keyboard#i just didn't learn it the “correct” way. there's like specific finger placements or something#idk i just made up my own way of typing on sight out of necessity bc i once worked at a place where the keyboards were blank lmao)#HOWEVER phone is better for switching between different writing systems#and especially nowadays when there's so many language learning apps/translators/dictionaries#so for language learning i find that typing on the phone is easier#i struggle typing on a physical keyboard when the alphabet is different

There's something so crunchy and rich about a character who genuinely, courageously, and vehemently tries to do the right thing all the time... but because the world is complicated and they don't always have all the information, they don't always know what the right thing is or the efforts they do end up not working out like they thought.
It's interesting, leads to excellent conflict and character exploration. It gets a good theme with regarding what is the right thing in complicated circumstances, and can lead to interesting plots and consequences. It's realistic in a good way.

The comparatively straight laced by the book commanding officer gassed her crewmates so she'd get a week of peace and she's not even a little bit sorry about it.
