A Dubai Summer Proposal
OK, so you are planning on proposing to the love of your life in the next few months but haven’t thought about the extreme heat until now! Well, don’t worry, we have you covered!
Lots of our couples are visiting Dubai from other parts of the World and don’t realise just how hot it can get. Temperatures can reach 50 degrees Celsius, and it doesn’t get much cooler at night either.
But that shouldn’t stop you from popping the question. Dubai is an amazing place to propose so don’t let the heat ruin your plans.
While a lot of venues close their doors from June-September, we have worked hard to offer some amazing options for our couples so that they can still have a proposal outside, as I know a lot of you still want desert, beach and rooftop venues.
Here are some of our amazing summer proposal options:
Rent a hotel with a view
Book an overnight stay in a lovely hotel or Air B&B with a stunning view of Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab or the Dubai skyline.
We can come and decorate in front of an amazing ‘Dubai’ backdrop or we can even do the setup on your terrace. We will leave you to enjoy the proposal setup and collect it the following morning when you are at breakfast.
Here are some of our favourite hotels with a view:
Address Downtown
Five Palm Jumeirah
Jumeirah Al Naseem
 A rooftop proposal
It may be too hot to sit and enjoy a rooftop dinner, so let us set up a beautiful proposal on a private rooftop with unobstructed Burj Khalifa views You can enjoy the rooftop for up to 2 hours before heading to a nearby restaurant to continue the celebrations afterwards.
We will fill the rooftop with silk flowers and giant light up MARRY ME letters for the perfect setting.
 A WOW beach proposal
Propose with an amazing view of the Burj Al Arab. We will add a beautiful flower arch or giant MARRY ME letters for your stunning Dubai proposal. You can then head to a nearby restaurant to continue the celebrations. Or propose on a Palm Jumeirah beach and enjoy a beachside dinner (free AC cooler provided).
 A Dubai View Proposal
Propose in a beautiful indoor/outdoor private venue with sweeping views of Dubai Marina and Ain Dubai (the giant wheel). We can do a proposal setup either on the outdoor terrace or in the private dining room with panoramic glass windows. Both options have amazing views and you can then sit and enjoy a beautiful dinner surrounded by your proposal decoration.
 A pool side cabana proposal
This is a beautiful private cabana set in stunning grounds in one of Dubai's most prestigious hotels.
The cabana area will be filled with red rose petals, fairy lights, pillar candles, tealights and a 'Marry Me?' sign that will be displayed on an easel that your girlfriend will uncover.
After the proposal, you can enjoy a bottle of bubbly and a beautiful three-course meal.
The cabana has an outdoor terrace, and an air-conditioned private lounge that will also be decorated with rose petals and candles.
 An infinity pool proposal
Propose at the world's highest 360 degree infinity pool!
Suspended 200 meters in the air, this venue is the world's highest 360 degree infinity pool offering incredible views of the iconic Dubai skyline, Palm Jumeirah and the glistening horizon of the Arabian Gulf.
Your table area will be dressed with 100 white real roses, white rose petals, a white rose bouquet to take home a white & green flower arch with a neon MARRY ME sign. Once you reach, get down on one knee and propose with unobstructed views of Dubai's iconic landmarks. once you have received the YES! feel free to jump into the luxury pool.
Enjoy a food platter and a bottle of Tattinger Brut and enjoy staying cool in the pool with amazing views.
 Desert Proposal
We have a great overnight desert proposal package for those wanting to propose in the desert. Included in our package is a  one night's stay overlooking the sand dunes in a 5-star desert resort- Al Maha Desert Resort and Spa Bedouin suite with private pool and terrace overlooking
the sand dunes  where you can spend the day watching the camels and wildlife. Y
For your arrival, we will have decorated the outdoor terrace with your preferred proposal setup for you to enjoy in private. After the proposal, you can then spend the  night stargazing on your private terrace. Super romantic, private and very close to the AC when you need to cool down.
If you are planning your proposal soon, send us a whatsapp on 00971 55 8313 985 or email us at [email protected]

A Rooftop Proposal in Dubai
Akshay contacted us all the way from New York. He was coming to Dubai on holiday with his girlfriend Vidhya and wanted to propose whilst he was here.
Whilst on holiday, they were staying at the amazing Al Qasr Hotel and he originally wanted to propose over a romantic dinner on the beach overlooking the Burj Al Arab- the most luxurious hotel in the World.
However, August in Dubai is so hot and humid and we thought that the couple would be just too uncomfortable on the beach, so the team suggested an alternative for him that we hoped Vidhya would love.
As tourists, we knew that we wanted to give them an amazing view and the only thing more amazing than the Burj Al Arab, is the Burj Khalifa- the World’s tallest building.
This venue is the most romantic rooftop venue in the city. It is completely private, with unparalleled views of the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai fountains. It is nestled between some of the most impressive buildings in Downtown Dubai and is big enough to fill with romantic proposal decoration, but not so big that our couple would look lost. It is an outdoor setting, so that the couple could get engaged next to the fountains, but could also nip into an adjoining lounge to take advantage of the air conditioning- perfection!
Once Akshay saw the photos, he immediately fell in love and knew that Vidhya would love the luxury, privacy and exclusive views.
So after several top-secret phone calls, emails and WhatsApp messages, we started to put a plan together that would provide Vidhya with the proposal that she deserved.
The couple were in a long-distance relationship, with one from New York and the other living in Toronto. With our graphic designer, we created a map of their love that we displayed on a large easel that she would see when she first stepped out onto the terrace.
We then rolled out a red carpet, filled the area with candles and then added the ultimate WOW with large 1meter high, light up ‘Marry Me’ letters.
Once everything was perfect and the proposal photographer was in place, we then brought the couple up to the rooftop.
Vidhya was blown away with the sight before her and Akshay proposed with a backdrop of the Dubai Fountains- sooo romantic.
They were then joined by her Mum and Dad and Akshay’s parents who had flown in all the way from Canada and New York to surprise them and wish them congratulations- pretty impressive right?
The couple then enjoyed champagne whilst watching the city skyline, before heading to a nearby restaurant to enjoy a romantic dinner.
It was so wonderful working with this wonderful (and extremely good looking) couple and we wish them a lifetime of love and happiness.

Best Places to Propose in Dubai
Are you thinking about proposing in Dubai? As Proposal Planners, we have worked at hundreds of venues all over the city, but these are our favourites:
Dubai Fountains Proposal
The Dubai fountains are situated in the heart of Downtown Dubai. They are a choreographed fountain spectacle, where the water shoots as high as 500 feet and were designed by the creators of the Fountains of Bellagio in Vegas.
You can propose on a beautiful private rooftop overlooking the lakes. Imagine how romantic it will be getting down on one knee while the fountains are going off beside you both.
A Burj Khalifa Proposal
Propose in the clouds at 555 meters. The observation deck 'At The Top Burj Khalifa' is on level 148 and offer amazing views overlooking the city and beyond. Propose on the viewing deck with 360-degree views.
You can hire a musician to serenade you, or have a 'Marry Me?' banner displayed.
After your proposal, enjoy champagne at one of the Worlds highest bars, Atmosphere where you can continue your proposal celebrations.
Beach Proposal
No visit to Dubai is complete without heading to one of our amazing beaches and there are plenty to choose from. You can propose at sunset with a view of the Dubai Skyline, or you can propose at night with spectacular views of the Burj Al Arab.
There is nothing more romantic than proposing on your private spot on the beach. Make your proposal extra special by hiring our large 1meter high MARRY ME letters, they switch on as you approach and add a real wow to your proposal.
After your proposal, you can then enjoy a beautiful 5-course beach dinner and listen to the sounds of the ocean. Soooo romantic.
Yacht Proposal
Is there anything more luxurious than hiring your private yacht and sailing around the Dubai Lagoon? A red carpet will lead the way to your yacht, where you will board and see polaroid pictures of you both lining the side of the yacht. You walk to the front, which will be filled with flowers and fairy lights before sailing over to the Burj Al Arab where the yacht will stop, leaving you to get down on one knee and propose.
After your proposal, you can then enjoy a beautiful dinner before returning to shore.
Desert Proposal
How about a private camel ride into the Arabian Desert where a romantic picnic setting awaits you both?
You can enjoy champagne and strawberries on your own private sand dune and watch a beautiful sunset before proposing.
You can also propose at night with flame torches and candles that spell out 'Marry Me' before enjoying a gourmet picnic.

A Boardwalk Proposal
This weekend we planned a beautiful proposal for Paul and Cindy on the boardwalk in Dubai.
Paul asked Cindy to go for a late afternoon walk along the sea, but she had no idea what would be waiting for her.
We had prepared a romantic proposal setup for the couple which included 30 candles, 2 beautiful flower arrangements and an easel that held a 'Marry Me' sign.
When the couple stumbled upon the setup, their favourite song began to play through the speakers. Cindy thought that this was for someone else until she turned around and Paul was on one knee.
Cindy was so surprised that she began to cry, especially when Paul started to talk about all the things that he loved about her.
Their friends had been watching from a distance and had a Zoom call connected so that all their friends and family from back home could be a part of the special moment.
After Paul proposed and Cindy said 'Yes', their friends appeared and cheered for the newly engaged couple.
Our secret proposal photographer was there to capture the whole proposal and take some engagement shots of the happy couple.
They then headed off to enjoy a romantic dinner to continue the celebrations.
Congratulations guys!!

A Romantic Movie Proposal
Zein approached us for help with his proposal idea, which was to make a movie of his and Duja's love story and project it onto a large screen in the garden.
He had huge ideas for exactly what he wanted in his proposal, including hundreds of candles, flowers, rose petals and photographs telling the story of their romance. We couldn't wait to get started!
We first met Zain at his friend's villa (the location for the proposal), so that we could see the space, and work out exactly what was needed to be included and how the proposal would flow. He was extremely excited about his proposal plan and we wanted to ensure his vision came to life.
So we immediately got to work and sourced flowers and statement vases to frame the outdoor screen and started preparing the 600 candles that were used for his proposal.
The day before the proposal, we spent 10 hours in the garden; installing a huge projection screen, speakers and festoon lighting. We then began filling the entire villa with candles, rose petals, flowers and huge photographs on easels of all their favourite memories.⠀
On the night of the proposal, the couple arrived at their friend's house, with Duja believing that she was going to a friends Birthday party. However, when she arrived, she was immediately blindfolded and led upstairs to a 'proposal holding room', this gave Zein time to run into the garden and hide behind the projection screen.
When Duja was led out of the room, their love song started playing throughout the villa. She was greeted with candlelight, rose petals and a huge image of them displayed on an easel with a note saying 'it all starts here'.
She followed the rose petal walkway which had all their photographs from the many years that they have been together and was led to the garden where the huge projection screen waited.
The minute that the movie started, she began to cry. The movie was so personal to their relationship and included photos and stories from Zein. When the movie ended, Zein appeared silhouetted behind the screen and their love song began to play again throughout the garden. The projection screen was moved and revealed Zein, standing in a sea of candles!
Duja walked over to him and this is when he got down on one knee and presented her with a beautiful engagement ring.
They were then joined by all their friends who had been hiding for the proposal, and of course not forgetting the largest Zoom chat I have ever seen with all their family and friends from Lebanon.
The whole evening was super fun, very romantic and the most personalised proposal that we have ever planned!!⠀
Congratulations to the wonderful couple.

Light Up Your Proposal
If you are starting to think about your marriage proposal, then I am sure you have looked at various images from Pinterest, Instagram and Google.
You are probably starting to think of ways to make your girlfriend's dreams come true, by providing a romantic and dramatic element to your proposal.
This is where we can help!
There are several ways to make your proposal insta-worthy, and we think the best way is the inclusion of our super sized light up MARRY ME letters.
These huge 3ft high, stand-alone letters add such a WOW to any proposal and are such a bold and romantic statement.
They can be used for both day and night proposals, whether you hire a private room, or a private spot on the beach.
Imagine opening a door to your private room that overlooks the Burj Khalifa and being greeted by this dramatic statement, or seeing the letters light up as you take a stroll along the beach before getting down on one knee.
It can be a challenge to make the proposal location dramatic and to fill the space, but with these letters, there isn't much else that needs to be included to make it a feature. We do however suggest adding flowers to the sides to really frame it, and rose petals that lead up to the sign for extra magic.
We can help you plan your entire proposal from start to finish and include these letters, or you can just rent these letters from us and you do the rest.
These large marquee letters can be rented for 2,000AED which includes installation, delivery and collection.
And as with all proposals, we recommend hiring a proposal photographer to capture every moment on camera. These images will be something that you will want to treasure forever.
If you need help with your proposal planning, then please call us on +971 4554 6802 or email us to start the planning today at [email protected]

Concierge Proposals in Dubai
Over the last few months, elaborate proposal plans have either come to halt, or have been adapted. Instead, men are opting for more private and intimate proposals in the comfort of their own home, or at a hotel.
While some might think that this sounds boring, we have to disagree, and here is why:
1) Booking a hotel stay is an enjoyable experience for all of us. We have some amazing hotel recommendations where you can enjoy a private balcony and have amazing views for a fraction of the price that you would spend on a function room.
2) You get to enjoy the setup for much longer as we don't collect the items until the following day. This leaves you both with plenty of time to take pictures and absorb all the beauty.
3) You will be proposing in complete privacy, so there is no pressure of anyone watching or getting in the way of your big moment.
4) No masks required yippee!!
So, how does it work?
Once you fill out the proposal consultation form, we can suggest items to include to make it truly personal and memorable (it doesn't just have to be candles and roses- although this is a very romantic setup).
You head out for dinner at her favourite restaurant, and we sneak into your room and prepare the proposal setup for you. It's as easy as that.
The next day, we will collect the items from you.
Our Top Hotel:
Over the last few weeks we have worked with several hotels, but our favourite has to be The Address Downtown. They are currently offering amazing summer rates which include a fountain view room with a balcony, overlooking the iconic Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountains. With floor to ceiling windows, you can propose with a view of the tallest building in the World, and still, keep cool in air conditioning.
We prepare the proposal setup in the room, leaving you to open the balcony doors so that you can propose against a backdrop of skyscrapers and the most spectacular fountain show on Earth.
Bonus- the fountain show also has music so you will have your very own proposal soundtrack.
You can then enjoy the rest of the evening enjoying the view and the setup that we have prepared for you with a bottle of champagne.
Now, do you still think it sounds boring?.... I think not!!!
We offer 4 different packages to suit all budgets, but you can, of course, customise the setup as much as you like.
Contact us for more information.

A Very Vintage Anniversary Surprise
Amit contacted us to plan a romantic 1st year wedding anniversary surprise for his Wife Shivani. After a nice long chat with him, we discovered that Shivani loves the outdoors and anything vintage. We also learnt that she loves rolling hills and lush landscapes so we knew we had a challenge on our hand to find the perfect venue in the middle of Dubai.
We set up a few meetings with venues and we thrilled when we found a lush oasis in the middle of the City. This venue was perfect- it was filled with trees and flowers and had a beautiful secluded garden where we could prepare a romantic setup. It even had a stream running through the venue- a true oasis and we knew that our couple would love it.
So we kept a vintage theme in mind and went shopping for all the props that would be needed for this setup (we love to shop).
We had great fun hunting for vintage photo frames, cake stands, jam jars and wooden crates. Then we personalised our purchases by adding ribbon and flowers to the jam jars and sanding and painting the wooden crates that we would later fill with photographs and love poems.
On the day of the event, we collected hay bales from nearby stables that we would use to make a seating area. We had no idea how heavy haybales were- it took all 4 proposal coordinators just to lift one of these haybales- boy it was a workout!
We began to decorate a beautiful grass area at the side of the lake. We tied string between two trees which had Polaroid photos and love notes from Amit from their time together. The setup was beautiful and we had all her favourite cocktails and cupcakes waiting.
The couple arrived in a bright orange Lamborghini (this is Dubai after all), and were led to their gorgeous oasis setup and her reaction was so amazing.
Our wonderful photographer captured everything and we are so happy to share them with you.

If you are thinking of proposing, contact us to start planning your proposal. We plan proposals all over the World and work with all budgets.
If you are waiting for your man to propose- you can send an anonymous hint here.

Dubai Proposal Spots to Escape the Heat
From October to April, we can plan a huge range of outdoor proposals, including romantic rooftops, hidden gardens and beautiful beaches. But when summer approaches and temperatures soar and the humidity is unbearable, most men are stuck for ideas on where to propose.
So we wanted to share our top 5 Dubai spots to propose during the summer months that are still magnificent.
A Romantic Dubai Ski Chalet
Stay in an Aspen-style ski chalet overlooking Ski Dubai and fill the room with candles and flowers before getting down on one knee and proposing with the snowy backdrop.
After the proposal, you can then celebrate in the room with your private chef who will cook you both a beautiful dinner. Wrap up warm and drink hot toddies together as you watch the snow all afternoon.
Super romantic!!!
An Indoor Skydive Proposal
For the adventure seeker, head to Ifly for an indoor skydive experience. You can propose mid-air when you are hand in hand. Flying together is something that is fun and exciting and a proposal that you will remember forever.
A Spectacular View Private Dining Room
Hire a private dining room in one of Dubai's landmark buildings such as the Burj Khalifa or Burj Al Arab. Decorate the room with photos of the two of you together and fill the room with her favourite flowers and candles before getting down one knee and proposing.
A Dubai Aquarium Proposal
For those that love the Ocean, book a beautiful dinner at Osiano. Indulge in a six-course menu, surrounded by thousands of marine animals before a scuba diver comes to your table to display the 'Marry Me?' sign.
A Private Cinema Proposal
Hire out an exclusive luxurious cinema for your private screening. Have all her favourite snacks waiting and settle down to watch her favourite movie together. When the credits begin at the end of the movie, the words 'Marry Me?' appear

An Ohhhhh So Romantic Beach Proposal
Bojan contacted us to help plan his proposal to Sandra. They were both visiting Dubai on holiday for the first time, so we knew we had to make this trip extra special for them.  Bojan wanted his proposal to be in a quiet setting, away from people and to be somewhere that Sandra would remember forever.
When we had our initial meeting with Bojan, it was obvious that they are huge fans of the beach. As it was a trip of a lifetime, we knew just the right proposal spot for them. We wanted an iconic backdrop for their proposal -and what is more memorable than the Burj Al Arab?
We sent Bojan a consultation form, and we learnt a lot about Sandra's likes and dislikes and worked on ways to incorporate all of that into their proposal.
She is an extremely private person, so we knew that the proposal would need to take place in a remote area of the beach. Her favourite flowers were red roses, so we made sure that these would be included and that her favourite song would be played as she arrived at the setup.
We prepared a romantic setup overlooking the Worlds most iconic building and filled with sand with candles, roses and petals.
Then when the couple arrived at the meeting point, we did what we do best, and went undercover as a hotel employee. We greeted them at the entrance and transported them in a golf buggy down to the beach, and to their secluded beach setup.
Sandra thought that they had a reservation in a nearby restaurant, so she was blown away when she discovered the private romantic proposal setup.
Our secret proposal photographer was hiding behind a nearby palm tree and captured the whole proposal for them. They then sat down to enjoy a beautiful seafood 5-course dinner with champagne next to the sea.
Super romantic. Congratulations guys xx

Covid-19 At Home Proposal Ideas
Lockdown has really put a dampener on things, and many people are thinking twice about going ahead with their marriage proposal.
We don't think proposals should be put on hold, instead, we want to share some of our favourite at-home proposal ideas that you can easily do for yourself.
A TRAVEL THEMED PROPOSAL⠀ ⠀
Travel plans may have been put on hold for a while, but how about doing a travel themed proposal at home?⠀ ⠀
You will be surprised at what props you can find around the house. Travel guides, books, maps etc. You can include photos, postcards and souvenirs that you collected on your previous travels. ⠀ ⠀
If you were thinking of going to Sri Lanka for Eid (a popular one for us expats I know), why not bring Sri Lanka to you? You can prepare a delicious Sri Lankan curry, set up a beach area at home with sand (don’t tell me you can’t get your hands on some sand), scatter some rose petals, light some candles, and get a couple of coconuts to sip from while putting a sunset scene on the TV before proposing Sri Lankan beach bar in your living room ⠀ ⠀
This is a proposal we planned for Todd and Christine to give you some inspiration. We used old travel photos, a map of where they had been with their initials printed over it and wrote Todd’s favourite memories of Christine from these holidays. ⠀
Sites to buy or get prop inspiration from:⠀ @amazonae ⠀ @etsy ⠀
A CAKE PROPOSAL⠀ ⠀
Who has been spending more time than ever before in the kitchen?⠀ We know that we have!! And, OH MY- we have become quite the baker. ⠀ ⠀
Why not put your skills to the test and propose with an impressive cake or a selection of ‘Marry Me’ cupcakes? She will appreciate your efforts so much- even if they are a little crispier or drier than they should be ⠀ ⠀
If you live together, then you can prepare them over a few days so she doesn’t expect anything (it may mean a few early mornings or late nights). ⠀ If you don’t live together- how about getting it delivered to her doorstep whilst being on a Zoom call at the same time? ⠀ ⠀
You can even go the extra mile and plant the ring in the cake- make sure you keep it in the box so you don’t eat it by mistake.
Follow @crumbsanddoilies for easy, step by step cake baking instructions that are tried and tested by our team (red velvet cupcakes are a MUST) ⠀ Dubai’s amazing @sugaholicbakeshop have cake decorating kits for sale for you to decorate your creation and to write the all-important question- easy peasy. ⠀ ⠀
Here are are few ideas of cake proposals that we planned for some of our lovely couples to give you some inspiration.⠀
A MUSICAL PROPOSAL⠀ ⠀ ⠀
Here is another proposal idea that you can do from home that won’t cost an arm and a leg (or anything at all). ⠀ ⠀
How about hiring a musician to serenade you both via Zoom? ⠀ ⠀
The amazing Khalil aka @dubaisinger has been popping up at our proposals since 2014 and he goes down a treat. ⠀
We have included a few photos of Khalil doing his thing at some of our proposals. Here he is serenading our couples with everything from Disneys ‘Under the Sea from The Little Mermaid, to Bruno Mars ‘Marry You’- what a versatile legend. Something like this would be so memorable and romantic as he sings all her favourite songs ⠀ ⠀
For a unique idea that won’t cost you a Dirham- how about downloading a piano app and learning to play (and maybe even sing) her favourite song, before getting down on one knee to propose ⠀
We hope that you find some of our ideas useful. If you decide to propose at home, then we would love to hear your proposal story x
