Hey, what do you think Spruce would be like in your AU? I just have a few ideas for this if you don't know. I just think Treekiller could fit nicely into this universe, given that he's pretty much the brother of Chainsaw consultant on the canon.
So I actually don't have too much planned out for him aside from the fact he *does* end up working with Mary to figure out how to stop the overrides and Helen, but they still don't get along at all. It's a sort of "I still hate you but we have a common goal and both have people we care about stuck in this situation" kind of thing.
As for what he's actually like, probably still just Spruce, but maybe a tad less impulsive given how dangerous the overrides are, especially when Chip and Misty are paired together
I actually haven't focused on him too much since he's not a character I'm too confident writing but I'll try to figure out more for him eventually

Mx. Bonpyre's override is incomplete, unstable. He can try to resist unlike the others, but inevitably, they will end up hurting those around him. That is the nature of the overrides under Helen's control. Violent machines, meant to do as they're told and kill anyone who gets in the way of Helen's plans.

Memories
After Helen was stripped of their role as the one in charge of C.O.G.S. inc. things were improving, but other things were simply sitting stagnant. Things that should have been improving for Misty, but weren't.
Why has Mary been so distant, what am I doing wrong? why does he always seem so hurt every time she looks me in the eyes? He always tells me that he's okay but I know she isn't. I don't understand. everyone keeps telling me that it's because I'm not who I used to be, but who did I used to be?
Everyone tells me stories about things I used to do with them, but I don't remember any of that? it can't be real, right?
Misty lied in bed, staring at their phone, rereading the thins she's written in the months since Helen's downfall. Even recent things were blurry to her. Why? Why couldn't they remember simple things, small things even? Were the issues with her memory the thing that was hurting Mary so much? Everything about this was overwhelming, Misty could barely think, and they just wanted to be held.
But Mary wasn't home, and that wouldn't happen. Maybe if they could remember something for once, she could actually see Mary smile again instead of that painful, worried look that had been there the last few months. Then again, Misty was always too nervous to even ask about who they were before the override was installed.
Maybe they'll ask Mary when he gets home.
A few hours had passed, hours that felt like nothing as Misty had fallen asleep. When they woke up, they were being gently held by Mary, it was one of those nights for Misty. She buried her face in Mary's chest, trying to wipe away any tears as they tried to think.
Mary had hardly moved, likely out of a fear of squishing Misty, he knew too well that she was much bigger and physically stronger than his partner.
Misty finally pulled their face away and looked up at Mary before looking back down, staring at the chipped paint around Mary's knuckles and fingertips.
"Is it okay if I ask how we met... I think Flint told me a while ago but... maybe you have a different story?"

What horrible atrocities has ms Helen bonpyre committed?
First of all, they straight up nuked Robert. Then girlie basically took all the plans C.O.G.S. had and ramped them up to 100 (This started a joke of "they're what happens when you give The Onceler a pound of crack)
The most significant thing though is the fact they started installing overrides in pretty much everyone who's at risk of running from the company including Flint and Misty (Yeah they aren't above putting their own children through hell) In the case of Misty, memory was totally wiped. Can't have those human emotions and attachments getting in the way of work, right?
Then there's also the countless toons that have been more than just greened, with a decent number being at Helen's hands directly, at this point she's started to send Misty and Chip to drag them out so she only has to fight especially persistent ones
I *could* go into detail about how they're a horrible parent but the thing with Misty and Flint having overrides is probably saying more than enough about that aspect of them

The Wildfire | Helen Bonpyre
Has taken over C.O.G.S. Inc. by unknown, presumably violent means. They took the company that had been losing a battle against the toons for years and allowed it to rise to a power beyond what anyone could have wanted. Their influence spreads like a wildfire, even beyond Toontown.

About Project Tempest
About the AU itself
Project Tempest at its most basic is a what if scenario.
What if C.O.G.S. Inc. had a far more power hungry and sadistic leader?
What if managers besides The Chainsaw Consultant had personality overrides?
What if everything had gotten to the point where employees were rebelling against the company?
As of now, Project Tempest has very little story set in stone and is focused on five managers and the relationships they have.
These managers are
The Pacesetter
The Firestarter
The Deep Diver
The Rainmaker
The Chainsaw Consultant
Not all of the managers will have personality overrides, but at the very least will be impacted by the overrides in some way.
Asks
Asks will always be open to questions about the AU and the characters involved
Please do not send NSFW asks. While the plans for this au are mature in nature, this is not the environment for it
Any hateful asks will be deleted.
If you wish for an ask to be answered in character, please mark it with [IC] at the start of the ask
Submissions may be accepted as well, but keep in mind some may be ignored for the same reason as asks being deleted/ignored
A Note from Fried-Trash
While I'm open to works and suggestions from others becoming part of this, Project Tempest is still a deeply personal fan project to me and fragments of it are based on my personal experiences in life, especially parts of the stories I have for The Pacesetter and The Rainmaker.
