i think theres a couple of posts now about tommy calling buck 'evan' and buck hitting him with the 'thomas' in return but i can't help but think of tommys backstory now. what if he's tommy because he was always thomas to his parents and everyone who knew them? what if he's tommy because of the drunken dad screaming thomas in the middle of the night? what if he's tommy because thomas was always used against him in arguments with his mom? i just think a name holds SO much power

im not sure people realize that like 90% of people that ship Buck and Tommy know it's not an endgame relationship and know that it's likely not gonna be a long term relationship and like I'm pretty sure 90% of buck and tommy fans are rooting for a Buddie endgame and are just enjoying the ride knowing that it's all leading to Buddie. Shit even Lou basically said Tommy is a stepping stone for Buddie. Like can people just let the writers cook, we're getting the story they've wanted to tell since S4, it's going to happen. If anything the last insane weeks of interviews should tell you is that Buddie is very much going to happen and it's going to be done organically. Just gotta be patient.

Exactly! Like, just let us bask in the joy of Buck having a boyfriend/dating a guy for a little while. And they seem like a pretty good match, even if it's not going to be a lasting one, so why is it so wrong to enjoy it? It really feels like it's largely younger fans (not that I'm that old) who don't understand there's nothing wrong with multipshipping and that you can appreciate and have some fun with two characters having a relationship without wanting it to be endgame or thinking it will be.

Also, nothing wrong with wanting bucktommy endgame. Anyone can call me a traitor if they like, but I wouldn't be mad if it was endgame. And I have only been around for Taylor when it comes to Buck's love interests, who was a very wrong fit as a girlfriend, but I think I've written enough fwb and threesome fics to show that I thought they were at least in some way (friends and sexually) compatible.
