im working up the gumption for an art, but isekai-ing my self insert into dungeon meshi is only fun if she has a party :3c

so!

Magpie-the-mage carries over some Beast Capture tendencies from her first isekai into pokemon and has collected: a familiar shaped like a magpie (heh) with a black cat's head, forepaws, and a tail that ends in a plume of feathers; once she magics up a Monsterball she goes on to collect a golem, a purple living mushroom, and a wurm (she would eat the Dungeon Food)

and coming with her are:

Vitaya Khadpo, an eastern man who was captured, fused with a shapeshifter to become a beastman, and forced to fight in a dungeon's coliseum before being rescued by the party; fist fighter, able-but-reticent to take the form of a siberian tiger (and a capybara) at will in battle; Vit is taken from an original novel-in-progress full of shapeshifters and all the identity crises therein (he would NOT eat the dungeon food)

Dozie and Belris, gnomish sisters, a cleric and mage/"secret" necromancer respectively; belris has been in the dungeon so long she resembles a more classical Deep Gnome, researching death magic and the manipulation of dead materials; Dozie went in to "rescue" her and is fiercely protective now, to the point of being very defensive of Belris' unscrupulous magicks, actions and attitudes (these two are based off two dnd characters, the latter based on the necromancers from the Locked Tomb trilogy :D ) (dozie would not eat it, but belris would; it would be. very interesting if there was a belris-turns-dozie-into-a-chimera-arc ehehehe)

Mithmeia, a tiefling warrior/light-armored knight, for lack of other heavy-hitters in my older projects; she's here for the kills, but would have potential for a good arc butting heads with Vitaya's morals and learning to be a team player (tbh the same arc she had in the dnd-based story i wrote for her a while back) (she would eat the dungeon food)

Maaikasute Kosaka, an eastern half-tallman and half-foot and rogue/lockpick, based on a pokemon conquest OC ive been cooking on for a while and desperately trying to perfect the art i started for her ; spends the entire journey talking shit on the sidelines with mithmeia and lording over the gnomes until the inevitable Chimera Incident (hesitant to eat out of pure manners, but once she gets a taste she gets like.
