Chelley week, day 1 - Cuddles

She had to admit she was sleeping better. Having an actual bed was easier on her back, her nightmares were becoming increasingly less common, and for the first time in memory, Chell was getting full nights of rest. It defied logic how, even with Wheatley interrupting every single one of her routines, rituals she had carefully devised to keep her body and mind safe, she now felt more comfortable than she ever had before. Before he gave it a try, she had been sure that if anyone had tried to wrap themselves so tightly around her while she slept, they would have recieved a series of kicks and elbows to their shins, stomach, and potentially their face. Now, she sunk back into him, listening to the way he quietly snored into her back, and she couldn't imagine sleeping any other way.

first day is roleswap/cuddles, decided to mix both prompts xP designing core/android chell for this was SO fun!! since her whole shtick is being abnormally stubborn, i thought her purpose would be exactly that. a Persistence Core who never gives up… and hates humans (and Aperture. Obviously), probably a slight bit more than the average robot, to mirror her hatred for AI in the og 😭 in the chelley server we were discussing how core chell would be like and i love the idea of her communicating with beeps and speaking in morse code— something that human Wheatley doesn’t know how to decipher so they do have big problems of miscommunication, even here 💔💔💔 anyways i love them and i will definitely be drawing roleswap chelley and android chell more in the future 🧡

From a fic idea I have where Wheatley becomes blind after his return to Earth, so he doesn't recognize Chell when they meet again. She talks now but he's never heard her voice before, and she doesn't tell him who she is because she wants to see if he's different than before, and if he's genuinely sorry for what he did, which she believes is easier to find out if he thinks they're neutral to each other. Imagine his shock when they finally repair his vision.

just a little note for virgil, in android au (and portal stories mel ig) he’s made in the 70s but as a human he was born much earlier than that. i wanted him and mel to be around the same age and they meet in the 50s era aperture 💆🏻💃🏻 apologies if things are unclear fhsjfjsj

a third batch will come in the future (i’ll include grady and portal revolution characters) and maybeee a fourth one for remaining characters like caroline, cave johnson, doug rattmann, the announcer (yes even him because i wanna design) and more. im crazy. im insane. It feels great to be drawing everyone like this ❤️ the portal character roster is actually pretty big if you want it to be x))
