I’ve been a bit busy going back and fourth between drawing things for requests on a different blog and job hunting irl so things have been a bit still here, but I promise I plan on picking this back up pretty soon if all works out and I do get that job (wish me luck!)

I’m currently working on a short animatic, maybe two, for this blog. One for answering a few questions pertaining to the current M!A story, and one for halloween coming up (which hopefully comes out on time sdjldsf we never know)

In other news I’ve actually been meaning to talk about something on here for awhile as the main owner of this blog. Hi! I’m Booker! I’m the artist / pony designer of the blog and one of two mods on here.  This blog is a blog completely based on the game “Don’t Starve” from the characters to the things they have/use/acquire. The only different thing about it is that they’re all ponies, and I myself am portraying them how I see them (as well as the second mod of the blog), but this also means they have back stories already out there in the world in relation to the game itself.  I, myself, yes me, Booker, had the second mod explain the basics of Don’t Starve not because either of us were irritated or wanted to come off as rude. I want this blog to follow its own story, and we have a whole three different stories planned out for it! But this means we can’t or don’t have time to really answer the basics with the characters because of the stories we’re creating. This is why I had the second mod create this post here. Because I wanted to make it only a little easier for people to understand whats going on, what the constant is, and what the ‘throne’ and Charlie are. But well...thing is....that post doesn’t explain everything. Here I have people coming to me complaining about how it would have been better for the characters to answer through asks themselves and that it just messes the story up for them but...it doesn’t. We told you what happened to Maxwell in game, what happened to Wilson in game, and slightly who Charlie was as well as what the Constant is like. However you forget this is a pony blog. While the Constant is basically the exact same as the game, Maxwell gets stuck on the throne, hes freed by Wilson, Charlie takes over and so on. The real world?? Thats equestria. So clearly this should mean things would have changed in order to fit the pony world much better. So its not like we spoiled anything in relation to these characters because I had to re-write most of their back stories to make sense in the pony world. I actually have a chunk of Wilson’s re-written right here! Before I even made this blog!!! Don’t think we spoiled anything for you or made anything lest ‘tasteful’ in relation to the blog, because I assure you, we didn’t. I have fully changed back stories to each character that yall haven’t even learned about yet. We have characters who are meant to appear soon that yall haven’t even met yet! The entire story, in itself, is So Far Off from the current Don’t Starve Story (If you could say it even had one) that I don’t see what all the fuss is about with explaining just the basics.  You guys haven’t even met Charlie or seen William for more than like a post. Please calm down, please be patient with us, and please understand that we are doing whats best for the blog so we can make things a bit easier on others who have a hard time understanding what Don’t Starve is.  Thank you for reading!  Just wanted to clear some things up.

A lore dump (Warning - long post!)

Hey all~ 

I’m the other person helping out on this blog, you can call me Dia. I’m just gonna do a quick catchup session because we’ve been getting a few asks about what’s going on rn with the M!A, or just in general. Below I’ll be giving a quick summury of Don’t Starve’s lore, and a rundown on the current M!A.

So @ reversalmushroom, who has expressed confusion about ‘the throne’ and Wilson being a king, plus anyone else who is confused:

This blog is a crossover between MLP and Don’t Starve, and if you aren’t familiar with the latter, this isn’t going to make a lot of sense without context.

All of the ponies have been transported to the world they’re in now, called the Constant. The coinstant is a hostile world filled with monsters where you have to survive against all odds, with hostile mobs hunting you down and doing their best to kill you off. The king (or monarch) of the constant is the person who sits on the shadow throne, a chair filled with dark magic that lies in total darkness at the center of the world. To travel there, you need to survive several worlds worth of turmoil and challenges, hopping through portals to get to the final dimension. 

Maxwell was the king when everyone was brought here. He tempted them all into the Constant and watched them survive to entertain himself. He was an aspiring magician (he went by William then) who got in over his head with magic he didn’t understand, and was transported to the Constant with his assistant. His assistant became a shadow monster and he found his way onto the throne, becoming the Constant’s sadistic king.

Over time, Wilson, one of the first Maxwell brought to the Constant, made his way to the center, and freed him from the throne. This is when we find out that  the throne holds it’s occupant prisoner, giving them power over the Constant, but also trapping them for all eternity. Wilson is trapped on the throne in Maxwell’s place. He stays there for an indetermined amount of time before Charlie frees him and takes it for herself.

The current ruler is Charlie, Maxwell’s former assistant, otherwise knowns as the Grue, who attacks if you’re out in the dark without a light. She resents Maxwell for what she became and what he made of her. But she also misses the kind old man he used to be.

Which brings us to the current M!A

Maxwell has been turned back into William, the man he was before he came to the cinstant and got in over his head with dark magic. He doesn’t remember his time on the throne olr all the horrible things he did to Charlie and the others.

One for the mod~ I just found your blog today and I am just so tickled with the designs and everything! Everybody looks great, and I love that you used other species outside of ponies for everyone! :D Also your style is lovely, and I hope you have a great time as an ask blog!~

{This was really great to see actually!I wen’t a bit inactive for a bit there due to some seriously garbage artblock, but I’m finally gettin back into the thick of things and have an answer about to be posted very soon qvqI’m having a very fun time running the blog though, and have been constantly spitting ideas back and fourth between a friend of mine about all of the characters and how they would have ended up in the Constant in the au and so fourth, its been refreshing to really enjoy something. This entire ask is just...so so sweet. It means so much ovo}
