Am I the only one who thinks this woman may be Honoria Smyth-Smith? I really hope for background glimpses of her and Marcus Holroyd because their book is one of my faves!
Not mention in their book Colin flirts with her to make Marcus jealous so maybe he is watching this interaction being jelly?
And Pen gets so jealous of watching Colin and Honoria in their book that she writes about it as Whistledown.

Okay let’s talk about it!
This is the scene of Colin looking at Pen in that dark green dress. Hear me out. This takes place after he goes after her outside and she calls him out.
I think she leaves him standing there very distraught. And instead of going home finds a way to hype herself up to come back in and be more confident. And she comes back in and takes off her cloak and everyone is in shock she came back after what happened to upset her. Maybe she meets Debling after?
Either way Colin here looks like he’s on the verge of crying. Ever since I’ve seen some people pointed it out it’s stuck in my head. I think it could be him realizing he’s got to do something or he’s gonna lose her and he can’t lose her…. But it’s just a theory. Tell me if you think it’s true lol.

We all know Penelope is going to deny Colin’s rash proposal after the carriage scene. Pen is never going to believe he actually wants to marry her. So she will deny him. And eventually agree to Debling’s proposal or just go be with him. And Colin will flip shit and pull a big stunt to win her.
And I’m guessing the way he finally convinces her that he WANTS her is by doing it in some heartwarming way in front of everyone. I want the ton in shock and have no clue where any of this is coming from. I want him begging her to marry him because he LOVES her. And he’s declaring it:

And I need all the Bridgerton’s there. Especially Hyacinth and Gregory bc I need Gregory to lean over to her and say, “please never let me doing something so publicly embarrassing and gross for a girl…” and I need her to punch him in the arm or something.

I’m not mad that it was a Kate and Anthony clip. I’m not mad at Penelope’s two seconds. I’m not even mad that Colin isn’t in it at all. (Although my heart aches for another polin clip)
I realize the show is not like the books where we get all Colin and all Penelope all the time. I love Kate and Anthony too and am so excited to see them as a married couple. I am mad that Kate didn’t have a single line. The kiss was sweet though.
I wanted polin. At least a crumb. But they gave us this. Which was cute. Just… I wanted more. I wanted to be teased. I thought they finally were gonna do that.
I am mad that this was supposed to be a trailer. We’re two months away people.

Colin wouldn’t call himself a match-making mama, per se, but it was looking as if things were turning out that way. Only now his best friend was helping him as much as he was helping her. If only in a more nonchalant way. Colin Bridgerton had found a purpose.

Just a reminder that there is more context to these scenes in
Just Like Heaven by Julia Quinn
(Honoria and Marcus' story)
They are very Polin-coded as well. He's her brother's best friend. They've known each other forever. He gets super jelly... The end of their book collides with the beginning of Colin and Pen's...
For some background, Honoria spends a lot of the book taking care of Marcus' infected injury. So when Colin cuts his hand and goes to look for Penelope at the Smyth-smith ball Lady Danbury introduces him to Honoria because she is... crazy... (The whole time she is trying to get Colin and Pen together she is doing the same with Honoria and Marcus) Honoria explains the dangers of infection to Colin.
Penelope posts about this in Whistledown, my loves because she is jealous. Anywho, Colin who has been a matchmaker at heart for all the books... (He literally interferes with most of his sibling's love stories...) He sees that Honoria talking with him makes Marcus jealous and so he messes with him making him more jealous before he skips off and finds his Pen.
I just.... I would really like to see Marcus and Honoria as an easter egg. It would be so lovely for those of us who have read all the books and loved them dearly! Seeing the cut on his hand made me so excited and hopeful for this... And hopefully Marcus at the Bridgerton birthday ball standing next to Pen thinking they are kindred sprits and running after her when he hears she knows where the eclairs are.
I hope for this. So happy for our crumbs...

Colin absolutely CHUGS the water (or lemonade) here is what I am living for. How many times have you read a novel and it says hero’s mouth goes dry because of something the heroine says or does.
This is it. His mouth went dry!!!! He had to chug!!! This is Colin realizing he at least is attracted to her. Feels something for her. And of course this will happen over time and it’s definitely not going to be the last or only time. But like… dammnnn lord yes!!!!
May we be blessed with Colin having to drink so much water… so much water over this season.
I think I will need to have my water on stand by myself for when the season drops…

Oooooo my turn!!
My theory is that this takes place after those lessons… he finally encourages her to use her new found flirting skills at a ball for the first time and she can’t seem to find the confidence she had when she practiced with Colin.
So in the middle of her trying to put her skills to the test, the gentleman she flirts with looks confused or something and she gets flustered and runs off feeling overwhelmed. Colin noticing this from a far follows her and when he finds her in the garden with tears ready to spill feels broken hearted for her.
I think he will ask what’s wrong and she will open up to him and in a panic and explain that it was all a bad idea and that she can’t do it. She will say that it’s too much for her to handle and he will comfort her. Now if it’s with a hug or a kiss or encouraging words that’s up for debate. All I know is that’s what I think. What do you guys think?

I mean here’s the thing. It’s okay that the release date is not December 14th… but have the decency to say that especially after seeing people take it as the truth. (For months) People want to see the hard work their favorite actors and writers have put into a show that has said to be practically done since June.
If the writers strike is affecting things then say that…
If you are still editing then say that…
If you just simply don’t want to release it yet then say that…
Bridgerton season 3 is arguably the most anticipated release in Netflix history.
Don’t play with fans by letting them believe it’s happening when it’s not.

Can I just say that I hope at the very beginning of season three at Violets birthday ball we get to see Penelope standing on the sidelines like usual. But next to Marcus Holroy the Earl of Chatteris. And we see him look over at her a couple of times and you can see he is trying to work up the nerve to get ask her to dance.
But just before he does Penelope announces to herself she is going to get an eclair and he follows her because this man loves deserts. And I’d love to see him trying to keep up but you see him in the back ground get stopped by Lady Danbury.
This would be such a lovely thing to add in. Especially because in this book (just like heaven) we see that Colin and Penelope were not Lady Danbury’s first target for match making that night. She was trying to match make Marcus and Honoria. But upon seeing that Marcus needed no help she literally tells him she’s going to find a new couple.
I would also love to see Colin and Honoria talking at the Smythe-Smith musical. And I want to see him making Marcus jealous on purpose just like he does in the book. Book Colin is a match making mama in every book but his own. But when you see what he’s doing in other books it’s just match making.
