ANNOUNCEMENT: THIS ACCOUNT IS NO LONGER ACTIVE
hey everyone! it’s been awhile, hasn’t it? i see that despite my posts and inactivity that many people don’t know i’ve migrated over to @cakeradio which is now my multi purpose blogging spot.
i dearly apologize to those who may be trying to message me or follow me on this account-in fact, it seems activity has boomed dramatically despite my very, very long absence-on this account and i will gladly spark up those same chats and discussions at my new location where all the action is taking place!
i also have a new twitter, patreon, and ko-fi since i’m trying to make podcake into a profitable, future web series and i might need all your enthusiasm put into the beta version of this project to really accomplish all that!
you’ll be happy to know that podcake now not only covers podcasts but games, anime, tv shows, and anything else under the sun with a new podcast review coming up soon!
SO PLEASE FOLLOW ME AT THE LINK PROVIDED AND WE CAN KEEP THIS BAKERY NICE AND WARM

thank you so much guys! seriously, every little penny counts at this point and could be a huge help when it comes to getting food and paying rent at my new place.
please help a dear friend!
your friendly neighborhood fiction podcasting queen, @podcake (now on a new blog at @cakeradio) is going through a bit of a rough spot. she had to move, her brother’s car got repossessed so she’s out of savings, and her wifi has been shut off, so she’s only on mobile and asked me to post this for her.
her family is doing a huge cross country move and she had to use a lot of her savings to help various members of it pay off some things. anything you can donate, or a signal boost, would be appreciated.
if you don’t already know her, she curates and reviews podcasts (and now more things!) with lovely, kawaii, soft graphics. she’s so important to the fiction podcasting community and we’d love to help her. thank you!

Archive 81′s co-creator Marc Sollinger wrote an article for The Portalist about, well, the process of writing a horror/fantasy/sci-fi podcast. He also explains the unique power of audio storytelling, the challenges of creating something fantastical through sound, and recommends @arsparadoxica, @thebrightsessions, and @thebridgepodcast. Check it out!

In case you haven’t checked out the Indiegogo lately, here’s the phone background/t-shirt illustration that local artist Laura Nicole Dávila drew up for us! I am IN LOVE with it and can’t wait to get some of these stickers and a shirt for my own purposes.
As far as the Indiegogo goes, we’re at almost 20% of the goal! If you haven’t already checked it out/shared (and contributed if you can) you can do that here. All of the base goal is going to the audio engineer (based on our current estimates for season 2 length/production cost), which leaves me paying the actors out of pocket, so the sooner we can pass the base goal and start hitting stretch goals the better. Not only do the stretch goals mean more cool stuff for backers (and in some cases, like the remastered version of season one, the public!) – signed script books, anyone? – they also mean that I can pay the actors more. It’s super, super important to me that everyone involved be paid and this is the best way for me to do that right now, so any shares or contributions are extremely appreciated!

Check out the newest Patreon exclusive extra scene! Fred considers her unfortunate need for human interaction and reminisces about times when she wasn’t trapped on an alien planet.
Also! We are currently trying to reach our Patreon goal for a series of mini-episodes to be released between seasons! They will be focused on interactions between various characters prior to the series. So if you want to see more of Montague or any of the other crew members, consider becoming a patron!

DID YOU KNOW… - Next week is our season 3 finale? - It’s a flashback? - It’s a continuation of an event you’ve seen before and asked more about? - It answers a lot of questions? - You will probably hate us for the ending? Again?

When I started Story Bake last year, I wrote out a definition for what I wanted the name to mean. To me, the celebration of storytelling is like an informal get together; a meeting of likeminded people who might not always agree on the finer details, but who ALWAYS agree that stories matter and leave a lasting impact on our lives. I think understanding stories is important, and the response I’ve had from viewers has been overwhelmingly positive. Thank you to all of you for watching and sticking with me. Star Wars Month continues later this week with a video about everyone’s favorite hotshot pilot, Poe Dameron. See y’all then!
