Thomas wasn’t really paying much attention to the older man, but more so his car. “Hey, nice ride.”

“Thank you.” Phil took his sunglasses off. “You can take a closer look if you’d like.”

Phil stepped out of his car smiling slightly, he was glad to be back after his trip. “Its nice to be back.” He noticed a person in the distance starting to walk up to him. “Yeah, I’m back.”

“Awesome, have you talked to your siblings yet?” He asked before frowning slightly. “I’ve been okay. Not great, but good.”

“Well I for one am really happy to see you.” He said, turning off his phone. “So are you settling in nicely?”

“You know, this has actually never happened to me before. Like all my years at SHIELD I’ve never been quarantined.” He knocked on the window to the guards. “Can I have a deck of cards or something…Yeah thanks.” Phil turned back to Nikita. “You need anything?”

Ariel sat alone at a table in the school cafe going through her course for the year leaving her lunch uneaten on the table. She was in her own little world reading when she heard the chair across from her move. She looked up at the person to do so giving a smile. “Hi.”

Phil noticed his daughter sitting alone, he didn’t want to disturb her so he sat and waited till she said something.“Hi, Ariel! You okay, sweetie?’”

Nikita can’t help but scoff at his words, “I’m sure your children will be pleased that they are on the same level as a car.”  Brushing her fingers on the leather seats, her teeth sink into her lip again. “Most men would frisk me without a second thought, I’ve gotten rather good at hiding things on my body.” She comments. “Do you trust me?”

“In all honesty I love my children more than this car, but loosing the car would be like loosing one of my kids.” One the car was awesome and too it had information in it. “Well I’m not most men. They didn’t make me Director of SHIELD for nothing.” Phil shrugged. “Well I mean you probably need to be good at that, most people we train are.” He nodded off. “More than most people.” With that said he switched gears on the car, after making sure they both had seat belts on, and in less then a second they were flying.

Her eyebrow raises at his car, “I didn’t realize they allowed the security team such luxuries.” Nikita gives him a quick smirk, “I hope you know how to handle such a vehicle.” Sliding into the car, she glances at him, “Would you really frisk me if you felt it necessary?” Nikita asks, grinning She enjoyed teasing the older man. 

“Well I’ve had her for a long time.” He said simply. “This car is my prize possession. This car and my children are like equal. I’m really not sure if thats a bad thing to say, but oh well.” He started the engine and pulled out of the parking lot.” He shrugged. “Give me any situation in which you would think I would frisk you and then we will see.”

What is going on with you and Nikita? You seem awful friendly.

“Are you implying I am not a friendly person?” Phil laughed. “She’s been through some tough times, and if you ask me she deserves a break even if she doesn’t ask for on. So I’m not trying to be a father figure or whatever you are thinking, I am just trying to be nice.”

“No, actually, they wanted me to stay in bed longer. You know how stuffy infirmaries are though.” He replied, walking over to the whiteboard and changing one of his equations.

“Well they were stupid to think you would listen.” He said with a laugh. “How are you feeling?”

“Yeah, see, they’re all worried about me, when Lennox is the one we should be concerned about,” Luc rolled her eyes. “Oh bozhe moi, that would be amazing.”

“I’ve gotten some notification’s that you’ve been looking in on those. What exactly are you concerned about?” Phil smiled and got his phone out. “Yes hello, I’d like to excuse Lucya Barton-Romanova from all her classes today. She has official SHEILD business to attend.” He hung up. “Your all set.”

“You know as head of S.H.I.E.L.D. they should have made you a twenty four hour superhero formula by now, I heard they did it in the other universe.” Nikita comments. “If I say no would you believe me? I mean feel free.” She shrugs her shoulders, and in all honesty her stress from the mission was melting away while speaking with Phil. It felt friendly? “I need a drink, are you going to join me? To celebrate my return?”

“I have enough alien shit in me already.” He said with a slight laugh. “I would say okay, we can talk about it later.” He figured something had happened but he wouldn’t bring it up now. “Why not.” He clicked what looked like car keys, and his car, dropped in front of them. “Bet you’ve never seen that.”

“Would you rather be the superhero nanny?” Nikita asks, more playful than her original statement. “Please. I’m smart enough to know that security is the lowest paying job, and –,” Nikita pauses for a moment, “Are you going to frisk me?” The question is asked with one “ of her eyebrows raised and a smirk on her lips.

“Well I mean maybe if I had powers........But probably not I like being the head of SHIELD.” Phil laughed. “Trust me I’m not getting low pay. In all honesty I wasn’t necessarily asked to be here, but it isn’t a coincedence.” His facial expression softened. “No, I have no reason to.....Do you have a reason?”

She’s exhausted, completely emotional and physically drained. Now she’s back, two months away on a mission that left her more emotional wounded that physically. After she’s dismounted the motorcycle, she realizes she doesn’t have the energy to make it to her room – nor the energy to make a snide comment to the person who’s walked up behind her. “You the new welcoming committee, because i’m not really interested.”

“Yeah I’ve been downgraded to welcoming people.” Phil sighed. “I wish, actually I’m stationed her for security checks.” He looked back at Nikita. “Take it from me and don’t get a job in security.”

“Well its an unidentified object. We think its Asgardian.” A car showed up behind him. “And its Phil, no one calls me Philip.”

“Well, we have an 084. I need you and your hammer to come with me to check it out. I’ll make sure your excused from all your classes.
