How long do you plan on making the 'Ashes that make a tree bloom' fic? Anyways I'm gonna go check it out now cause I keep seeing your (wonderful!) art on my page!
Hello! Thanks for the inquiry and the kind words! Hm...honestly I'm not sure. The implication itself is daunting. I've only started writing since the beginning of this year so it's a bit scary to tackle something of this scope off the bat. It also doesn't help that I have a whole book 2 in the brainstorming phase right now that will probably not have pictures for EVERY chapter like book 1, and that I also plan on writing an in-between series of episodic-ish one shots of just dates and fluff, because...I'm that sorta person woops, AND that I also re-edit chapters released on AO3 when connecting things together from future chapters as well as just trying to improve from things I've learned on YouTube or just from reading other books and thinking, oh that's pretty cool.
And that was one hugeee ramble. The answer is...who knows how long? But it will be complete, albeit at a snail’s pace aka I do plan on finishing this no matter what though, as it'd be cool to write this into full existence aka I'm new aka I suck at writing / tire out at 300-500 words.
Oh, also. The art is NOT mine, I just commission it. Credits given where credits due in each post to be clear.

But wowie wow, look at the different styles all in one drawing. From a cute af kid drawing (This picture was the orig ref!), to a full-blown illustration of Peach's castle? Dang. Just dang.

I mean, look at how cute this little guy is. Tongue stickin out and everything. Also, the rendition of the backpack was just such a homely feel, idk how to describe it.
What really caught my eye though was the bushes. I could get lost in the swirls, like they look as calming as beach waves. Am I weird for that? Idk man.

“J-Junior?!?” Luigi met the child’s beaming smile for only a second, until a scaly fist slammed the door open, sending Junior’s snout straight into the wall.
And now onwards to Arc 2! To start things off with a bang, @rachelordwayart created honestly something I could stare at for hours (which I literally have during editing lmao). “Yay! Here take this.” When Junior opened the backpack to give Luigi a drawing, honoring him with something ‘worth a million coins in the future’, and that he should take care of it ‘really goodly’, the floor shook.
Luigi hugged Junior tight, suspecting a regular light earthquake when Junior didn’t even move so much as flinch until he discovered its source where Bowser’s tail thumped wildly against the stone, ever so easy to read.
Until he saw the Koopa’s face.
I couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up Arc 1 than with your commission @lukosei. If I could get lost in those green swirls, I would. Thanks for working me with on this again and giving me ideas throughout with your sketches! As always, if you'd like the context: Chapter 5 of 'Ashes That Made the Trees Bloom'

From the previews, to the very final scene at the end credits…just left the Mario movie with a huge grin on my face. And normally having kids in the movie theater would make me scowl…but this time around, it just made me wonder what the kid me would’ve done. A bit of jealousy for not having this kind of entertainment in childhood, but mainly just gratitude that I get to experience something like this in my lifetime, no matter how old I get.
Spoilers below:
I mean, I have Bowser’s song in repeat in my head. Gonna try and get that out on a piano later~ and all the Bowser scenes! Just absolutely hilarious, comedy gold. And I mean…they gotta have the signature Bowser butt kicking but did they have to slam his head into the rock like…THAT? Made me heart hurt a lil (you can tell who my fav is huh)
You can tell there was a whole lotta love put in the details, the music, everything, even if the story itself was a lil cheesy, but who cares. Screw you movie critics that just take the joy out of things and rate by cold logic.

I tried my best to finish Arc 1 of my fanfic before the movie...but there was no way in hell that was gonna happen sooo...here's something else instead! Here's a wonderful comm by @chipsgowoah for an image preview of what I have in mind for Arc 2 >:).
Separately, here's a spark of inspiration for a Book 2! "Junior's Journey: Into the Wildfire" (Now why did I put time into writing that instead of finishing Book 1, Arc 1? ...I don't know mannn I swear my brain's a separate entity that makes the rules for me). If anyone has any suggestions though on its title...it'd be much appreciated...
Anyways, T minus 16 hours till I go see the movie. I've avoided as much as I could...and I'm just so ready at this point. I hope yall are too~

Not a typical post, but after watching, then again for the 10th time, figured it deserves all the love. The animation, the backgrounds, the voice acting, the score, and so much more details...just *mwah*. I can't even begin to fathom how much time, work, energy, and love was put into this.
Like couldn't you totally see this as an Adult Swim series? I'd absolutely watch / support the sh** outta that.
And this isn't even at a million views? Nah nah gotta change that and I'll be a part of making that happen.
