Babe, are you seriously kidnapping a dog right now?
I found a puppy. I’m bringing her home. Love you.
Tony gets the text followed by twenty minutes of radio silence.
He calls Peter twice, and sent at least a half dozen texts
What? You found a dog?
There are lots of dogs at the park, Pete, you probably shouldn’t just take it.
Babe, are you seriously kidnapping a dog right now?
Peter???
The explanation had to wait until he got home. An explanation that consisted of a slightly more in depth version of the text. Found a dog. Took the dog. Please, can we keep her? Look, she likes you!
Tony agreed to let Peter keep the puppy with the agreement that reasonable effort be made to find the owner. Peter agreed, albeit reluctantly, pressing a kiss to the top of the furry little head poking out of the Armani towel burrito in his arms.
They put up signs the old fashioned way, posting them on cork boards in coffee shops, in the window at a few local veterinary clinics, and, of course, on the billboard at the park where Peter found her.
They stopped at a pet store for a few necessities on their way home, and what started out as just the basics quickly became an entire cart full of things. (Things, plus Peter, who must have climbed in while Tony was comparing different brands of treats.)
Ground rules were both set and broken within the first twenty four hours. Peter fed her from the table, and cuddled with her on the sofa, and spent an entire hour trying to teach her to play fetch in the workshop before disappearing upstairs, giggling.
When Tony came to bed after nearly thirty six hours immersed in his work, and found Peter and the puppy curled up in bed together, he vowed to take Peter to choose a new puppy if they ever heard back from the owners.
Whenever Peter’s not home, the puppy follows him around. Tony’s used to solitude, but he finds the company is nice, especially when he gets stuck on a problem. He talks through the issue while she stares up at him with those big brown eyes, and when he arrives at a solution, even the puppy seems to realize it, wagging her tail, and barking happily as she chases after him.
Peter calls to remind him to take her on her walk, and he texts him to make sure they both eat, and he facetimes between classes to see how they were doing. Tony rolls his eyes when he demands to see the puppy, holding his phone at arm’s length to show the sleeping dog in his lap, giving her satiny ears an affectionate ruffle.
When they took the puppy to her first checkup, the vet informed them that she was microchipped, and after contacting the owners, they had to leave her at the clinic.
Peter didn’t exactly cry, but staring out the window all glossy eyed and solemn had to count for something. Tony offers immediately to take him to choose another dog, but to no response, so once they were home, he gave him some space to work through the loss on his own.
It takes less than ten minutes for FRIDAY to find the owners from the vet’s database. (It wasn’t even a good encryption - not even a decent one.) From there, he found their website. They were private breeders in Manhattan, which honestly couldn’t have worked out better for them. The site was complete with pictures and profiles for each dog. He scrolls through for a minute before he locates the profile with the familiar photo of their puppy. He pulls it up on a tablet, and takes it to Peter.
Peter perks up a little as he takes the tablet, looking it over for a minute before his shoulders sag back down. “She’s so expensive.” Peter says, and he only has to glance up at Tony’s bemused face before he shook his head, looking back at the picture. “Right, I forgot.” He zooms in on the picture of her, and sighs softly, “Can we, Tony?”
Tony kissed the top of his head. “What are you waiting for? Let’s go get her.”

After befriending Becca, the girl at the local bakery, things slowly begin to look up for him. Learning and building his own support system is supposed to be key to his recovery, and he hadn’t been doing too terribly until his feelings for his newfound friend’s brother seem to be getting in the way.
Crushes and pining after unavailable men have never been an issue before, but Bucky Barnes also happens to be ten years older than him, and his AA Group Leader.

So, ngh, aksfkjahfkjdhskd- NO SHUT UP, listeeeeeennnn! (yOuR sO AAAAAAAAAAA-)
I love Peter Parker, I do. In the comics he’s the sassiest himbo and in the MCU he’s just dumb bitch baby, and I love him. But listen, what if, and you have to hear me out on this! What if, in the MCU, instead of taking up the Iron Man legacy like everyone expects, what if instead he pulls a complete Uno Reverse and takes over the Black Widow mantle instead?
Just like, imagine like… training sessions with Bucky and Harley and Wade (also Sokovia Accords?? Never heard of her tf?). Learning how to copy Harley’s coy southern charm that lets him slip past guards on missions, assassination training with Bucky and Wade (fuck giving Peter a gun, give Peter a knife because it’s ride or die in this house bitch), demolition and weapons training with Harley and Wade where he learns how to make a pipe bomb out of household materials and the proper handling of rifles.
At first Rhodey and Pepper shrug it off as a phase but then the Iron Man memorial gala gets sacked by a few first timers thinking they can get away with some easy money. Harley’s back in Tennessee, Bucky is on a personal mission with Sam, and no one knows where Wade goes at the end of the day so it’s just Peter and Rhodey.
Rhodey doesn’t have the housing unit for the War Machine armor with him and Morgan is crying and when one of the goons goes to grab her Peter sees red. He palm smashes the guy in the face so hard his nose caves back into his skull when he finally comes back to his senses, four of them have at least thirty broken bones each, there’s a sixth one pinned down by steak knives that Peter pressed into the table through his hands like some fucked up pin the tail on the donkey and he has a bullet in his shoulder.
It’s the most alive he’s felt since Tony died.
The camera’s come into focus only seconds later, cameras are flashing off and reporters who had been attending the gala keep asking him who he is.
“I, I am…, my name is Peter Parker, and I am the Black Widow.”
