update: i’m still in love with him. i’m pretty sure he’s in love with me too.
he is so sweet and kind. i still feel so much love as he does something as simple as hold my thigh as he drives. with my hand over his. him laying in my lap and i softly stroke his face and he dozes off for a moment.
Wanna hear a story?
I fell in love.
In all my life, I never imagined I would. It’s not that I didn’t have romantic feelings, I just never thought I could care so much for another person.
I didn’t plan it. In fact, I thought for sure I liked his best friend more.
I fell in love so slowly. The way it’s meant to be, I think.
And you know what’s even funnier? I fell in love the same way my grandmother did. We both thought the best friend was gorgeous, so gorgeous we didn’t see the angelic being standing just behind.
The last six months have been so eye opening. I started my first job and got fired from it, too. I fell in love and got my heart crushed. I finally settled on a career after graduating high school almost three years ago.
But I fell in love. And it is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever felt.
I grew up watching romantic movies. Any romantic movie I could get my hands on from 13 Going On 30 to My Big Fat Greek Wedding to How to Get Rid of a Guy in Ten Days. Even the dumb ones they’d play on Disney channel.
None of those movies prepared me. They didn’t prepare me for the way I would feel as a looked at him in the morning, his face inches from mine. They didn’t prepare me for the love I would feel as it swelled my heart to hear my boyfriend tell me how I cute I was while he was drunk.
They definitely didn’t prepare me for his friends to tell him to use me as a sex toy after we broke up. They didn’t prepare me for the hour long panic attacks I’d have because I forgot how it felt to be alone.
I fell in love. And it was beautiful. It was the most amazing thing I’ve ever felt. I’m still in love with him. Even after everything I’ve been through because somehow I vowed to love him through it all. I don’t know when or how or why but I did.
I fell in love in the passenger seat. I fell in love laying in the back of his Durango. I fell in love watching him watch Tangled, my favourite movie in the whole world. I fell in love as I held him through a panic attack. I fell in love with him, drunk calling me cute and his baby. I fell in love laying in bed with him.
I fell in love with a person that only I could see. The person I fell in love with is not the same person his family or friends know. The person I fell in love is not the same person all our coworkers know. Or the people he went to school with know. Or strangers know.
I fell in love with a person I may never see again. But I will never stop loving him and if, twenty years from now, he shows up on my doorstep, I will still be there for him.
Because I fell in love.

I love this show
