what is people's obsession with comparing PJOTV to movie franchises instead of other television series?
i'm not on here besides the occasional lurking, but on tiktok specifically i often see people comparing the changes PJOTV makes to changes made in movies, when television shows and movies are NOT the same.
if anything, people should be comparing PJOTV to other book-TV adaptations. shadowhunters and shadow and bone are the first two to come to mind, and fans of both will know that those two adaptations aren't the most book accurate.
a non-fantasy book-TV adaptation i can think of is heartstopper, which is pretty accurate to the source material, but still i would say....
PJOTV is the most accurate book-TV adaptation I've ever seen.

The pjo fandom really downplays the Annabeth's romantic gestures in the series. Yes percy held up the sky but so did she. Yes he gave up immortality for her before they even started dated but so did she. She literally took a knife for him and people only play up his reaction to it. Yes percy is the ultimate book boyfriend but Annabeth is just as good of a girlfriend and people should put more respect on her name.
