hello everyone! a quick break from your scheduled art posting to talk about this incredible fic i think ever bloodweave enjoyer should read.

i know it'a already very popular, but imo it's a must-read. i could not praise this fic enough for what it is, the amazing ideas it brings to the table, the incredible execution of the timeloop trope. it's by far the fic i look forward to seeing in my inbox the most (not that other fics aren't absolutely gorgeous), because every chapter is just. a delight to read. it's got angst, fluff, and an amazing romance, but the plot is what really makes it stand out. it's tight, packed with great characterisation and has perfect pacing. please give it a shot if that sounds at all interesting to you. oh yeah, and did i mention that it's got art for every single chapter? yeah, read it. bask in its genius.

imagine being a normal citizen of arendelle. you’re just minding your goddamn business when the queen plunges your kingdom into eternal winter, very nearly killing you. she then somehow recovers from that absolute PR nightmare by building a cool ice rink. then three years later you’re forced to evacuate because that bitch decided to Awaken The Spirits of the Enchanted Forest and you almost die AGAIN when the kingdom almost floods– but wait, she saves the day! so it’s Fine!

then she hands the kingdom over to her normal well-adjusted sister and peaces out to the scandinavian wilderness to become a full-time forest cryptid. she can occasionally be spotted riding her magical water horse across the sea like lesbian jesus. you have no idea what the fuck just happened. you’re just trying to sell some lutefisk. how do you explain this to your children

me having a new idea for a relatively short fic:

So I think Griffin was semi-joking with the whole "Fitzroy goes into a half-trance because he's a half-elf and sleeps with his eyes open" but like...I keep thinking about half-elves being super uncanny, at least from the perspective of both humans and elves. Every one of them is a different terrible grab-bag of traits from these two very different races, and some that aren't found in either side because heredity is weird as fuck.

You're a new human parent to a half-elf infant and your baby smiles at you for the first time with a full set of sharp teeth, since elves are born with them. Later, they lose not one but two sets of baby teeth (what the hell??? neither race's children do that!). You're an elf who sees a long-eared person like you from behind and go to greet them, only for them to turn around and hit you with a gaze of those creepy black pupils, as opposed to the solid eye colors of full-blooded elves. You're a small human child and you're just playing with your half-elf neighbor like normal, until they scurry up a tree and you notice their abnormally long and clawed toes--they're descended from arboreal wood elves. You're the half-elf and you're always too aware of how much you move your ears around to express your emotions, because humans get distracted by the motion but elves have trouble reading your intentions if you don't.

Anyway the PHB says half-elves aren't always trusted by humans or elves because they're suspected of bias but I think there could be other reasons perhaps.
