Ethical Concerns When Using a Shock Collar
There are a few ethical concerns with using shock collars. One is that they can be quite painful, even when the collar is set on a low level. This can cause anxiety and stress in dogs, which could lead to behavioral problems. Another concern is that shock collars are often used without proper training, which could lead to unintended consequences such as the dog being aggressive towards other animals or people. If you're considering using a shock collar, it's important to weigh the benefits against the risks carefully
Why Get A Wireless Dog Fence?
A wireless fence is a great way to keep your dog safe. If your dog is ever caught outside without a collar or leash, a wireless fence will send an alarm to you so that you can quickly get them back inside. Wireless fences are also great for training your dog. If you want to train them not to go outside, setting up a wireless fence will help make sure they understand what you want them to do. There are many benefits to getting a wireless dog fence. First and foremost, a wireless fence is much more affordable than traditional fencing. You can get a decent wireless fence for under $200, which is significantly less than the cost of traditional fencing. Additionally, wireless fences are much easier to install than traditional fences - you can often do it yourself in just a few hours. Finally, wireless fences are virtually invisible - your dog won't even know there's a fence there until they try to cross it! Wireless fences offer an extensive range of security options. You can choose from passive or active security systems, depending on your needs. Passive systems simply detect when your dog crosses the boundary and send an alert to your phone or computer; active security systems will send out a loud noise or a shock if your dog gets too close. Regardless of the security system you choose, you'll be able to set up alerts for specific times of day or places, so that you'll always know when your dog is outside. Wireless fences are also known for their durability. Many people have had wireless fences installed in their yards for years without any problems whatsoever. In fact, some wireless fences are even designed to withstand severe weather conditions - like heavy rainfall or snow - without breaking down. Wireless fences are a great choice for anyone looking for a secure way to keep their dog safe and well-trained.. How Does A Wireless Dog Fence Work? These wireless dog fences work on the same principles as other wireless security devices. A radio transmitter (radio signal) and receiver are installed on the pet owner's property, and a small antenna is placed within the boundary of the area that needs to be protected. The transmitter sends signals through a wire or buried underground into your yard. When an animal crosses this boundary, it triggers both receivers, which then send out signals back to the fence controller via their antennas. The controller then sends out a signal that is picked up by the receiver and alerting you to the fact that your pet has breached the pet barrier. The advantage of invisible fence over traditional electric fences is that they can be set on a much wider area, making them more effective against larger dogs or roaming animals like deer, raccoons, and coyotes. This means it takes only one transmitter to cover an entire yard while conventional fencing requires several fence posts per linear foot of fencing. The fence controller then knows that the animal has entered the boundary, and it will send a signal back to the transmitter to stop broadcasting. Wireless dog fences are becoming more popular because they offer a number of benefits over traditional dog fences. Wireless systems use radio signal / radiofrequency (RF) technology to send a signal to your dog that lets them know they need to stay inside the boundaries of the fence.

You may need to try two times a day and then move up one time a day until you find what works best for your kitty. It may take several weeks or months, but eventually she will go in the litter box every time you want her to!

Antibiotics are a very important part of the treatment plan for any type of urinary tract infection, and in cats these drugs can be given orally or via injection. However, there is some debate about whether oral antibiotics work as well as those that are injected. Research shows that if your cat's bladder is healthy, using an antibiotic over the mouth route may not be necessary at all. If you do choose to try oral antibiotics instead of injection-based ones, it's important to follow the dosage instructions on the package carefully so you don't create additional problems with your cat's bladder or kidneys while trying to treat her UTI with this method. Why does my dog not let me touch his Paws
Some dog owners have trouble with their pups not tolerating having their paws touched while some dogs may enjoy a good paw rub. It is important to interpret how your pup reacts when you reach out for his paws. If he wrinkles his nose and pulls away, then there might be a personal reason why he doesn't want you to touch his paws. One possible reason is that it could be an ingrained habit from being handled too roughly in the past. Many people who own dogs notice that their dog doesn't like to be touched below the knees or above the hips, but they may not know why. This reaction can stem from many factors, including fear of being kicked or bitten. Some people may even try to coerce their dog into letting them touch their paws by using food as a bribe. - He doesn't appreciate people - He has a personal space issue - He dislikes being touched - He's too scared to trust you - He doesn't want to be touched
Introduction:
Many people wonder why their pet dog does not let them touch their paws. There are many reasons that your dog may shy away when you try to touch their paws. The dog may be scared or they might have a minor injury that hurts when you touch it. Your dog may be in pain from arthritis, hip dysplasia, or an old wound. Paws are sensitive because they are the only part of your body that comes in contact with the ground all day long.
Why do they not let you touch them?
It's common for dog owners to be curious about why their furry friends give them the cold shoulder when they try to touch their paws. The answer may not be as simple as you think. When your pup is acting standoffish, there are many different reasons that could be causing it including but not limited to fear, anxiety, mistrust, and territoriality. Regardless of how you want to help your pup out of this behavior, one thing is for certain: it will take time and patience.
What can I do to help my dog over come paws touch?
Here are some common things that may help your dog overcome this behavior. 1. Play It Safe. Don't take your dog to a public place where he might get into trouble. If your dog is still a puppy, you may need to keep him at home for the first week or two of training. This is the best way to ensure your pup doesn't follow you around and make yourself a target. 2. Treat Your Dog for Good Behavior. Ever since I was a little child, I was always curious about why my dog did not let me touch his paws. I finally asked my mom's vet what it might be. They told me that dogs need their paws to walk on rough surfaces and diverse terrain, so touching them will cause them pain or injury. This is why they do not like for their feet to be touched by humans. 3. How to take care of pets paw for healthy Animal lovers know all too well the importance of maintaining healthy paws for their furry friends. Proper care can help pets avoid infection and maintain a healthy life. It is important to groom dogs every time they go outside. Owners should brush dogs thoroughly, then wipe them down with a damp cloth or towel. If that doesn't sound like something you're up for doing, you can take your dog to the grooming salon for a professional job instead.
What is the consequence of people touching their paws?
Dogs are often wary of people touching their paws because they don't know if the person means them harm. Many dogs will nip or bite to try and ward off this unwelcome touch. It is hard to tell not only if a dog is fearful, but also if the paw may be injured and contact with it would cause more pain than leaving it alone. Dog paws are susceptible to injury, infection, and even frostbite. One of the most important aspects of dog paw care is keeping them dry and clean to prevent infections. If your dog's paws are wet or dirty, you should wipe them with a damp cloth before drying them off with a towel. You should also check your dog's paws for signs of injury, soreness, or irritation that may need medical attention.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the reasons for your dog not letting you touch their paws can be due to them being sick, scared, or just not wanting to. If your dog does not let you touch their paws, it may be a sign of a larger problem and a veterinarian should be consulted. To avoid any sort of health problems with your dog, it is best to have the paws checked by a veterinarian if they do not want their paws touched.

How To Choose The Best Cat Food For Your Cat - Dry Food or Cat Wet Food
Tumblr media
Choosing the right cat food is a pretty simple process. First, you need to decide what type of cat your cat is. Is he a finicky eater? Does he have any allergies or dietary restrictions? Once you've answered these questions, you should be able to narrow down your options. In addition to being a good food, wet food is also considered an essential part of cat nutrition. The reason why it's so important is that cats are obligate carnivores - this means they can't digest amino acids in their diet by themselves. This means that you need to combine your cat's dry and wet foods into one meal every day. 1. Consider your cat's diet and lifestyle. 2. Consider your cat's age, weight, and health. 3. Consider the ingredients in the food. 4. Consider the food's nutritional value. 5. Consider the food's flavor and texture. When it comes to choosing the best cat food for your cat, there are a few things to keep in mind.  Most cat owners feed their cats with dry food because it is easier to store and gives the cats more energy. However, wet food has more protein and essential nutrients than dry food. First and foremost, make sure that the food your cat is eating is appropriate for their weight and metabolism. Secondly, consider the ingredients of the food. Some cat foods may contain ingredients that can upset your cat's stomach, such as dairy or wheat. Finally, be sure to read the reviews of the food before you buy it to make sure that it is a good fit for your cat.

Ultimate Guide To Cat Nutrition - How To Choose The Right Cat Food For Your Feline Friend
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ultimate Guide To Cat Nutrition - How To Choose The Right Cat Food For Your Feline Friend
As a responsible cat owner, it is important to understand the basics of feline nutrition in order to ensure that your pet is getting the right food to support good health. The first step is to determine your cat's ideal weight and choose a cat food that is appropriate for their age, lifestyle and activity level. There are a variety of different types of cat food on the market, so it is important to read the labels and select one that contains high-quality ingredients. There are a few things to consider when it comes to finding the best nutritious cat food. The first is that not all cat foods are created equal - there are many unhealthy options on the market. The second is that cats have different dietary needs than dogs, so it's important to find a food that meets those specific needs. And lastly, as with any pet, it's important to find a food that agrees with your cat's individual stomach and digestive system.
How To Choose The Right Cat Food For Your Feline Friend
There are a variety of things to take into account when choosing the best food for your cat, including their age, lifestyle and health. Here are four key factors to consider when it comes to cat nutrition: 1. Protein levels Cats are obligate carnivores and need a diet that is high in protein. Look for a food that has at least 30% protein content. 2. Wet or dry food? Wet food is more digestible than dry food and contains more moisture, which is important for cats as they tend to be chronically dehydrated. However, dry food is cheaper and can help keep your cat's teeth healthy. 3. Grain-free? Many people choose to feed their cats grain-free diets due to the belief that grains are unhealthy for cats. However, a recent study from the American Journal of Applied Physiology concluded that cats fed a diet containing grains did not develop any major health problems. 4. Fat content Cats are obligate carnivores and require high amounts of fat in their diet due to the amount of energy they burn. When it comes to choosing the right cat food, there are a variety of factors to consider. The most important consideration is the nutritional balance of the food. Cat food should provide a combination of vitamins, minerals, and protein that meets your cat's needs. Another important factor is the protein content of the food. Cats are obligate carnivores, meaning that they require animal-based proteins in their diet. Plant-based proteins like soybeans are not as digestible or complete as animal-based proteins and may not meet your cat's nutritional needs. You should also pay attention to the quality of the ingredients in a cat food. Look for brands that use high-quality ingredients, like real meat or poultry as the first ingredient. Avoid foods that contain low-quality fillers like corn or wheat.
Aspects of providing a nutritionally balanced diet
One of the most important aspects of cat care is providing a nutritionally balanced diet. Cats have specific nutritional requirements that must be met in order to maintain their health. A recent study looked at the percentage of cats that meet the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) nutritional requirements. The study found that only 27% of cats in the U.S. are eating a diet that meets all of their nutritional needs. - Proper Diet - Variety is Key - Water Consumption - Supplements - Calories - Protein - Fat - Carbohydrates - Vitamins and Minerals There are a number of factors that contribute to this low percentage, including the fact that many cats are fed diets that are not appropriate for their age or lifestyle. In addition, many commercial cat foods do not meet all of the AAFCO's nutritional guidelines. The good news is that there are a number of high-quality cat foods on the market that provide your cat with all the nutrients she needs. There are many misconceptions about what cats should eat. The fact is, cats have specific nutritional needs that must be met in order to maintain their health. A cat's diet should consist of between 30 and 40% protein, depending on the animal's age. The diet should also include moderate levels of fat and carbohydrates. In addition, cats need a number of essential vitamins and minerals to stay healthy. Key aspects before choosing the diet & nutrition plan - The right supplements & diet that meets a cat's nutritional needs will help keep the animal healthy and free from disease. - Diet that is to be considered based on the problems diagnosed should be decided according to the type of disease and the results obtained by treatments. - Type of cat food liquid, dry, raw diet, semi-moist, moist diet, canned food, The size of the cat and the age of this animal, Is it a male or female cat? (This will influence the type of food to be selected) & The level of activity and mobility of the animal.

Allergic Dog NOT responding to Anti-itch medication dog
One concern for pet parents is when their dog shows symptoms of an allergic reaction but does not respond to anti-itch medication. When this happens, it is important to consult with a veterinarian to determine what can be done. Many potential causes for allergic reactions in dogs are possible including inhalant allergens, food allergens, contact allergens, and flea bite allergies. It can be difficult to identify the cause of the allergy by just observing the symptoms. A dog's allergies are a tricky problem that should be handled with care, but it can be even more challenging if the dog cannot respond to anti-itch medication. This is often the case for dogs with atopic dermatitis which is an allergic reaction to allergens such as pollen, dust mites, or pet dander. One of the most common symptoms of atopic dermatitis is recurring skin itchiness.
What are the allergies in dogs?
Allergies in dogs are a very difficult thing to figure out. The most common allergy in dogs, and the one which most people use to explain why their dog is unresponsive to anti-itch medication (which is usually Advantix) is called “allergic dermatitis”, or “allergic dermatitis due to epidermal tumors”. These are two different diseases with two different symptoms. However, the dermatitis due to epidermal tumors can also be an allergy because it is linked to a particular drug. So, while that medication may not be causing this reaction, what you need to do is figure out if it is indeed an allergy and if so, how that may be resolved. The disease itself can be highly variable in its severity but the main symptom of these diseases (both allergic and non-allergic) are itching and inflamed skin. Allergy dermititis can also cause inflammation of mucous membranes as well as swelling of multiple organs including the brain and eyes (sometimes it can even lead to paralysis). There are both local and systemic reactions involved in these diseases. Systemic reactions can be seen with systemic medications as well as with allergies. For example: - Antihistamines used for allergies will often cause injection reactions (i.e., allergic conjunctivitis) which can be fatal in some animals; however this reaction can also appear on occasion without triggering any symptoms at all. This phenomenon has been named “atypical” or non-allergic injection reaction because the body develops antibodies against the drug rather than against its target which is the eye or mucous membranes; you will find a list of drugs or allergens that cause this reaction here . - Medications useful for allergies such as Advantix have anticholinergic properties which inhibit acetylcholine from working properly causing difficulty breathing and muscle weakness; there are a few drugs that have such pharmacological properties but Advantix seems to work best for this clinical scenario . - Allergic rhinoconjunctivitis syndrome (ARCS) was first described by Cooperman et al., who noted that over 60% of dogs with ARCS had developed mild conjunctivitis during a 4 week course of Advantix; they performed microscopic testing on these animals and found adenoviral DNA present in the conjunctiva!
Precise cause of dog allergies
You’ve probably heard the phrase “Pet allergies can be tricky.” It might be a bit more complicated than that, but it’s true. Dogs are very curious creatures, and sometimes dogs will react to things other dogs don’t react to. There are many internal factors that affect their reactions, but the external factors (i.e., food allergies) can cause serious problems for people who love their pets and treat them well (like me). I was recently reading an article on PetMD by a vet named Dr. Ruth Pazin, where she talked about dog allergies in general — so much so that she described dog allergy as “the toughest challenge of all, because there is no single specific antigen to target with anti-itch medications.” She explains that some house dogs just aren’t allergic to certain things; one of the worst examples would be cats, who tend to have more severe allergic reactions when exposed to certain house dust mites (which may or may not be related to dust mites themselves). Whereas some large breeds like Great Danes or German Shepherds — if exposed properly — will develop mild allergies if exposed at all (so you should talk with your vet about how you want your dog to be treated). But sometimes, things are much more complicated than this; there could be an environmental factor that causes a reaction and/or a genetic mutation in the immune system of the animal which causes it. So we need a way of identifying these types of cases in animals and treating them accordingly.
Symptoms  of dog allergic reaction
Some people have allergic reactions to dogs. They believe it is because their dog has a skin condition called epidermolysis bullosa (EB). There is an anti-itch medication that can help with this. However, as mentioned in the title, it does not work for all dogs and the drug is not entirely safe for use on dogs. This article shows you how to treat your dog with anti-itch medication and whether or not it works for your dog. The symptoms of EB can vary from mild itching to severe blistering and oozing skin. It seems that every dog has a different reaction so there may be multiple causes of EB. You will also learn that some animals are definitely allergic to something else, such as cats and horses, but not dogs. This article is specifically about treating EB on the skin of a dog but the same principles apply to other animals such as cats and horses. The treatment involves applying an ointment containing an anti-itch medication to the affected area three times a day until it heals completely. It should be applied after cleaning the area or after bathing your pet (or both). You should make sure that your pet gets enough water at all times so they stay hydrated when they are in contact with water as well as at other times during the day, such as when playing or sleeping. Before starting treatment, you should consult your vet about whether treating your pet with anti-itch medication is right for them and about possible side effects such as anaemia or weight loss. If you're using an ointment made specifically for dogs then it may contain a different type of medicine than one prescribed for cats or horses so be sure to discuss this before starting treatment. Some types of ointments can be very effective against EB while others are only useful at controlling minor bouts of itching (such as sunlight allergy) - do not use these types of ointments unless you have further information from your vet on them including whether they will cause any side effects in your pet due to their actions on other parts of their body like hair follicles or eyes etc. If you're unsure about whether any particular medication will work effectively against EB then ask your vet before starting treatment if there are any specific things which need extra attention before using any particular medication - if you're unsure then let them know too!     TOP - Anti-Itch products at amazon
Anti Itch Medication that works for every type of allergies in dog
How did your dog’s allergy symptoms get to this point? Did you start the process of searching for an alternative medication for the allergic reaction? If so, what has happened since then? Did you find a good solution and test it out (to see if it works well enough) with your dog, before deciding to give it up and move on? Allergies in dogs can be tricky. Sometimes, they are caused by external factors, such as environmental conditions and certain medications — but sometimes they stem from internal issues like the immune system. Either way, the downside is that no one wants your dog sick. And when they are sick, they can be very uncomfortable and downright painful. Here is a summary of some of our most popular answers to these questions: - I started treating my dog’s allergies with anti-itch medicines; we had been using all kinds of different medications, both over-the-counter (OTC), prescription drugs, and OTC medicines. After several months of being on different medications that didn’t work at all (because the problem was probably not the allergies themselves or their environment), I decided to try an alternative treatment: albuterol inhalers for my female dog — which didn’t seem to help much either . . . . However, after 1 week on albuterol inhalers my girl seemed better again! I had never heard of albuterol before this! To me this was a miracle cure! Wow! I wish someone had told me about albuterol in advance so I could have saved myself a lot of trouble in trying out other treatments without success. At least now I know why my girl wouldn’t respond to her previous medication — she wasn’t allergic to it. - I started treating my dog's allergies with anti-itch medicines; we had been using all kinds of different medications, both over-the-counter (OTC), prescription drugs, and OTC medicines. After several months of being on different medications that didn't work at all (because the problem was probably not the allergies themselves or their environment), I decided to try an alternative treatment: pollen-free air filters for her dog — which worked wonders! She was treated with NO pollen or mold spores; she seemed much better!
Conclusion
When it comes to dog allergies, there are no shortcuts. The immune system is not a competition, but an integration of many disparate parts. By definition, dogs are our closest living relatives and we share many genes with them. They have 100 million genes within their genome. We cannot predict which ones a particular dog might be allergic to. What we do know is that the majority of animal allergies are caused by proteins and the anti-itch medication used to treat them is similar to protein allergies in humans (i.e., IgE antibodies). In dogs, the protein that causes most allergies is called histamine, which is produced from mast cells in the skin (and mucous membranes). The most famous allergy in dogs is pemphigus foliaceus or “felvitis” — where the skin becomes blackened and inflamed due to a build up of histamine causing antigens on the surface of the skin, rather than on the inside of your pet's skin. It has been known since ancient times that some animals can be allergic to their own bodies (including cats), but it wasn't until recently that there were any strong treatment options available to people living with this type of allergy. In recent years, however, various companies have developed different types of medications that work by blocking the production of these allergens (from either naturally occurring proteins or synthetic chemicals) either topically or orally. Allergy medications also have side effects as they don't just stop production of allergens; they also block other body functions — so if your dog has an allergic reaction after taking an anti-itch medication , you may find yourself having to inject your pet with a powerful drug multiple times daily for several weeks or even months (to make sure he doesn't react again).   Read the full article

How To Teach a Cat To Fetch - Cats Do Like Playing Fetch
Tumblr media
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrDskEObBs8
How to teach a cat to fetch
In this article, we will look at two ways of teaching your cat to fetch. You can teach your cat to fetch by using a cat toy. You can also teach him to fetch by using a snake or catsnake which you can find on Amazon. You could also get a birdsnake or catnip and try it. We will look at both approaches in the next section of the article. First, let's look at how to teach your cat with a toy. If you have an older cat who you think might be too fond of toys and may not like getting them taken away, get them some toys of their own which they have grown accustomed to getting so that you don’t have to worry about taking them away every time they want to play with their toys. You could try giving them a rubber ball with bells on it or you could even take the ball from them and let them hold it themselves before offering it back to them so that they get used to having another object in their possession for about five minutes each day. Once the top end of their possible tolerance for toys has been reached, start handing out one-second toy balls (the same size as a tennis ball) for each session when they are playing with their toys (this is where I started). When they reach the point where they start asking for one-second balls again after being given something else, take one-second balls away from them and give them these instead so that they are used up in the process (they will initially be reluctant, but once they see that this keeps him busy while he plays with his other toys, they will not want anything else). They should make sure that this keeps going on until each session has lasted at least 20 minutes before moving on - if there are any breaks in playtime between sessions, make sure that he is tired enough so that he does not need another session right away when he is tired - if there are too many breaks in playtime between sessions (5 minutes), bring his toys back out again after 5 minutes or so so that he doesn’t feel like he has been played with during those 5 minutes without his having had something else available first! He will probably prefer playing with his new toy rather than looking for his old toy at some point during these five minutes!
Training a Cat to Play Fetch
Cats are amazing creatures. Even if you don’t have one it’s hard to argue with the fact that cats are probably the most intelligent creature on the planet; and they can be trained almost perfectly like dogs, being very good at many different games. But here is a question that comes up often: how do cats play catch? It seems to me that they do it through a complex series of learned behaviors, each of which has an inherent reward structure. Similar to humans, cats can learn very quickly and focus their attention on a single task. This means that they have difficulties with multitasking and switching tasks (think “How do I learn something?” versus “What is this thing called?”). So what are some ways we can teach a cat to catch without having to commit them to some sort of behavior modification program? In my experience teaching a cat is much easier than teaching a dog or any other animal. It takes no discipline at all; once you get the hang of it you can just let them be themselves and watch what happens when they play for their reasons! Try out these methods: 1) Playfully chase them around the floor 2) Have little treats for making them chase 3) Observe how long it takes for them to build up interest 4) Open doors for them 5) Give them treats when they follow you 6) Let them sleep in your bed 7) Walk slowly along an invisible line 8) Put treats in front of their nose 9) Pull or push with your hand 10) Place food on high shelves 11) Place food on high counters 12) Have toy food bowls 13) Try out water bowls 14 ) Placing objects into special locations 15 ) Using various toys 16 ) Letting your cat play with toys 17 ) Use toys as scratching posts 18 ) Offer treats
How did I manage my Cat to Play Fetch
If you want to play fetch with a cat, this is how you do it. Here’s how I teach my cats to catch their balls: When I want them to retrieve the ball from the ground using their paws, I place a tennis ball between their paws and ask them “where is that ball?” If they don’t locate it immediately (they may take several seconds), then I remove the tennis ball from between their paws until they locate it within six seconds or so—then ask again “where is that ball?” If they don’t locate it within six seconds again (after being distracted by another toy), then remove the tennis ball from between their paws for three more seconds before asking again “where is that ball?” Once we are out of tennis balls we move on until we find one we both love: We usually use my orange as our first choice because it has several colors including red.
Where to Buy a Fetch Toy for Your Cat
In the US, cats are officially considered a “domestic animals” and thus have a lot more rights than dogs. So, you should be able to buy a cat-specific toy that is both fun and useful for your cat. If you are wondering about how to teach cats to fetch, there is no consensus on what makes for a good toy for them. A great way of getting started is with an interactive toy such as the Catnip Ball (which is one of the best) or just a toy your cat likes. Amazon Petco Chewy Petsmart   However, even if you are buying something that does not require putting it in the cat’s mouth (like for example a squeaker ball), you still need to get your cat interested in playing with it. You can start by giving your cat treats when she catches it and gently coax her towards it with the promise of more treats if she catches it again. This will help increase her willingness to play with it but do not force this on her until she catches it on purpose! Furthermore, as mentioned above, searching online for something like this is highly recommended. Finally, when working on teaching cats to fetch, make sure they are not overstimulated by loud noises; loud noises will distract them and make them more likely to drop their prey. Keeping calm and directing their attention away from loud noises will make them more receptive to your commands so they can better focus on the task at hand.
How to Teach/Train a Cat to Fetch
Fetching is a skill that cats and dogs share: they both like to fetch, and they both can be taught to do it. Unlike dogs, however, cats can learn how to play fetch — which is crucial for many games like tug of war. Long ago, people were taught the tricks of the trade by their elders: a cat that could catch mice was considered a different breed than one that could catch a rat. But as technology has advanced and socialization has become more “fun” than “work” (for kids or pets), this tradition has fallen out of favor. This has left many people without a way to teach their cats/dogs to play fetch. On the surface it would seem this is not an issue; any animal with enough brainpower should be able to figure out how to play fetch (and we’ve seen some surprising results!). But the problem is that while many animals are capable of learning new skills, they don’t generally have the same mindset as humans do: while humans have been given language, animals have not (but learning language will take years). Fetching is used in several species as an example of how humans use tools — tools like tools for tools —to get what they want from other animals or organisms. It also helps them communicate with one another and find mates among themselves. Fetching also plays into other important human behaviors also related to self-determination: it is an activity used in group selection theory (which explains why mammals are so good at it). This means that if you want your pet or child to cooperate or cooperate well in group selection scenarios (like playing with other animals), you need them to be able to perform well at these tasks too — otherwise, no matter how smart the animal might be, there will always be something else bigger than them around; so they will never really develop independently and will never have access to some of the lessons we teach our pets and children. The major benefit of teaching your pet/child/kid/whatever how to play fetch is that when it comes time for them to learn something new they can do it quickly since they already know how; but only if you can teach them quickly — very few owners or trainers can teach their pets on demand.
Can Cat be Trained Like Dogs
This is the first of a pair of posts about teaching cats (or other animals) to fetch. It’s not a typical pet training post, but it is a good one to start with because it entertainingly covers the basics. This is a short article acting as a very short tutorial for teaching your cat to fetch. There are lots of great articles about how cats can be trained to fetch (e.g., here, here, and here). But none of those articles can teach your cat to do what you want them to do (i.e., rise and retrieve something from a low height) without some guidance or help from you or another cat owner who has been doing this kind of thing for years. If your cat is interested in this kind of thing, it can be useful if you find a high-quality video showing cats using various forms of equipment like balls, cones, and balls on strings – the dog trainer/owner will likely have at least some basic knowledge when it comes to teaching cats how to use these different types of equipment but they may not have much experience with teaching cats to use them in the same way that dogs do. Conclusion The question is ridiculously simple. The answer is: It depends. To teach a cat to fetch, you need to understand how cats are wired and how they think, and you need to understand how they perceive the world around them. We’re trying to do so here in a very basic way, but the idea is that we can go beyond that. In the next post, we’ll cover some of how humans (and other animals) physically interact with each other and their environment.   General Other Pet Info Do You Actually Need to Buy Hypoallergenic Cat Food Sometimes, you need to wonder if the pet food producers compose a market for their "particularly created" pet foods by themselves. That belief is the outcome of a "guideline" somebody created that seemed affordable therefore has actually been adopted by many or else experienced cat rescuers and also sanctuary employees. My DOG Is PANTING a Lot Causes of Heavy Panting
Tumblr media

8 Causes of dog Heavy Panting How to better understand what's going on when your dog pants excessively
While the reason for heavy panting varies, there are some tell-tale signs that your dog may be suffering from an elevated body temperature - which can lead to heat stroke. The first sign is the type of panting that's hyperventilating, meaning over-exhaling coupled with rapid breathing. This indicates that your canine companion is distressed or very anxious. However, it could also point to overexertion. If you've ever walked up several flights of stairs, you know how difficult it can be. No one sets out to perform strenuous exercise but sometimes life gets in the way and we find ourselves hoisting heavy luggage or chasing after a ball down long stretches of beach. Get Rid of a Dog Cyst Naturally
It’s common knowledge that at home remedies are always the first defense against any skin issue. But when it comes to dealing with sebaceous cysts on your dog, there is no shame in turning to veterinarian for their expertise. There are a variety of treatments, but the most common treatment is to lance and drain them. Lancing them can be done by either using an alternative like an icepack or needle if you’re not comfortable using anything sharp.
What are sebaceous cysts
Sebaceous cysts are noncancerous growths that form in the sebaceous glands, which are also known as oil glands. Very often these cysts are due to clogging of the gland by excess sebum, so they can be treated by removing the sebum or flushing out the gland with liquid nitrogen. They are usually painless but may cause minor discomfort at times. The natural ways to avoid sebaceous cyst are different for people of all ages, but they can be of great help. There are both medical and natural remedies that can be used to get rid of them. For example, if the cysts are large or painful, then the best idea is to contact a dermatologist, who will prescribe an antibiotic medication. Seborrheic cyst is a benign skin condition, and can often be cured with a course of antibiotics. A sebaceous cyst is an enlarged, inflammatory papule that forms on the skin in association with excessive oil secretions. The term seborrheic cyst refers to the underlying condition, while the term sebaceous cyst refers to the cosmetic appearance of the condition. The cause of a sebaceous cyst is usually attributed to excessive oil secretion from the sebaceous follicles and/or hair shafts. During puberty, hormonal changes are responsible for increased production of oil by the follicles. This causes an imbalance between oily skin and dry skin, which results in lather at the follicle openings and excess oil production – leading to seborrheic cysts. Sores (or papules) develop on the surface of these inflamed areas.
What are the risks of developing sebaceous cysts?
Most people who develop sebaceous cysts (also known as acne cysts) will experience them in their teens. A person’s skin produces the most amount of sebum during this time and when it clogs pores, it can lead to breakouts with a swollen bump called a sebaceous cyst. If the cysts are not treated or drained, they can become infected and may need to be removed by surgery. Discovering a Sebaceous Cyst in Your Furry Many Pet owners who have found themselves with a sebaceous cyst in their dog’s skin. These cysts are benign, harmless little lesions that generally remain dormant until an owner or veterinarian notices the problem. But sometimes, a cyst can grow quite large and become infected. If it does, the best treatment for it is surgery. Its also known as “sebaceous hyperplasia” or “sebaceous gland hyperplasia” is a benign skin condition caused by overgrowth of sebaceous glands. The glands produce an oily substance called sebum that makes up part of the skin’s surface layer. If a cyst grows too large, it can interfere with proper function and be painful to your dog’s skin. Here are some tips – Clean your dog’s skin once every couple of days with soap and water (don’t use shampoo or any detergent) – Use a mild soap (such as those that contain no alcohol) on the affected area once per week – Avoid using abrasive products since they might damage the surface and cause irritation – Use only gentle scrubbing tools when cleaning your dog’s skin
How to Get Rid of Sebaceous Cysts in Dogs Naturally
There are two types of sebaceous cysts: benign tumors that do not cause any harm; and malignant tumors that can rupture and spread into surrounding tissues causing discomfort or even death. If a tumor is already forming on your dog’s skin it may be removed by surgical excision (a procedure which involves cutting away part of the animal’s outer layer). These can be surgically removed by vets under anesthesia , but this is not always successful . In some cases, dogs may require cosmetic surgery just to improve their appearance . This can lead to unacceptable scarring around the area treated . In other cases , dogs may need ongoing care for awhile after surgery . There are several different types depending on what type of surgery was performed : For benign tumors , removal is usually followed by topical applications containing corticosteroids (which helps reduce inflammation ). This can be repeated for several months until the tumor heals . Most often this type of surgery is performed using subcutaneous injections . For malignant tumors , surgical excision may also be required but there is less likelihood that corticosteroids will be required.   Check this Product to help your Paws better PawHealer Herbal Formula - Available Online as OTC Treatment   Amber Naturalz - Available for OTC treatment
Treating a Sebaceous Cyst in Dogs.
Dogs are pretty smart animals, so it’s no surprise that they get a lot of ear infections. But not all dog ears are created equal. Some are more susceptible to infection than others. The best way to keep your pet's ear infection history under wraps is by checking them carefully for signs of a possible problem before you bag the prize and ship off your beloved pup for surgery. A dog’s ear may be swollen, red and sometimes painful, which can mean that something isn’t right with it. A swollen or painful ear is called a sebaceous cyst, while painless ones simply have hair around them; both of these types of cysts affect the outer part of the ear canal. Ear infections in dogs are quite common (about one in ten), with symptoms such as redness, tenderness and inflammation in the middle part of the ear canal that often leads to discharge or pain. Although cases can range from mild to serious (with some requiring surgery), most dogs recover fully within several days.   Symptoms of an infection include: • Swelling or swelling • Redness or irritation • Tenderness or throbbing • Discharge from the affected area (sometimes yellow)   It’s important to remember that there are many different types of dog ears, so if you suspect one type is infected you should visit your vet for diagnosis and treatment; this is especially important since many pets (such as small breeds) do not have their ears checked regularly by their owners.  Some breeds are more prone to certain types of infections than others:   Frenchies have very large ears with a thin top edge which means they can easily become infected by bacteria and fungi; this makes them particularly vulnerable to such infections as well as being prone to allergies and respiratory conditions; Spitz-type breeds such as dachshunds have small ears with an upper edge that might be easily damaged by scratches; Chihuahuas also have small ears but also tend to be more prone to infections because they tend not to groom as much as other breeds do; Samoyeds require regular checkups just like any other breed – whether it's for allergy issues or because their hair gets tangled up in things like door handles – but unlike other breeds they tend not to get infections through their ears.   They do need occasional cleaning though! With most dogs however stable coats will grow out over time so even if you suspect infection.
Preventing the Return of Sebaceous Cysts in Dogs
A sebaceous cyst is a common skin condition in dogs and cats, which can lead to infestations of hair follicles. Often referred to as “dog skin” or “cat skin,” it may be distinguished from a secondary bacterial infection such as an ear infection. The condition is sometimes referred to as erythema nodosum, but this term is not frequently used because of its limited medical significance. A sebaceous cyst is a benign tumor; there are usually only one or two on one side of the body, and it can affect any part of the body. In some cases, the tumor will spread to other areas, such as the neck and head, causing more severe symptoms and more serious medical problems. Unlike acne vulgaris in humans, sebaceous cysts do not respond well to topical steroids or medication (for example pilocarpine). However, natural remedies such as garlic oil are effective at treating sebaceous cysts in dogs.   The development of a sebaceous cyst typically begins with an increase in fluid accumulation under the skin that worsens over time. This buildup contains oil glands (sebum) that cause inflammation and eventually rupture into an enlarged cyst (ovary). The rupture occurs when an underlying blood vessel ruptures due to increased pressure created by increased fluid accumulating underneath the skin. This pressure pushes fluid out through a puncture site on the outer edge of the broken blood vessel (called perioral space).   The role played by cats and dogs is similar: large amounts of oils accumulate under the skin causing inflammation which eventually bursts open due to pressure from fluids inside the cyst itself over time. In both cases, rupture of these larger blood vessels causes symptoms such as oozing or bleeding under their fur coat which may be treated by topical antibiotics (which tend to dry out the affected area) or surgery known as excisional biopsy surgery where tissue is removed from around the rupture site to remove any remaining tissue that may not heal correctly after cleaning out a tumor-like gland with warm water and antibacterial soap for 5-10 minutes without rinsing away any excess oil build up immediately following surgery.   Sebaceous cysts can have many different causes: genetics; dietary choices; exposure to infections; exposure to pesticides; exercise; stress; hormones; excess heat exposure; sunlight exposure; parasitic infections (the most common being fleas); parasites such as tapeworm In conclusion, sebaceous cysts are a benign skin condition that will not cause harm to your dog or your family. If you suspect that your dog has a sebaceous cyst, you should consult with your veterinarian because there are other skin conditions that can be misdiagnosed as sebaceous cyst. Since sebaceous cysts are benign, they will not harm your dog or the people in your family.   Other Pet's General Info   The Travel Essentials When You Travel With Your Cat If you are the kind of individual that have the heart for an animal, then it is best to travel in any destinations with them. Why Dogs Follow You Everywhere and-Dog Behaviors Explained
Tumblr media
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGzk4nxWT0E
1. Intro
What makes dogs so loyal? Why do they follow you everywhere? What are the 14 other dog behaviors you should know about? How can you make your dog follow you everywhere without making him lose his mind? These are just some of the questions people have asked me over the years. It’s a question I have been asked to answer many times, as I have spent over a decade of my life in canine companion therapy, and I’ve seen many of these behaviors up close and personal. And if there is one thing that I’ve learned over the years, it’s that this world of ours is complex. But it isn’t complicated. Dogs follow people because they want to. If they did not, then we wouldn’t see them do it at all. Of course, most dogs are quite predictable in their actions, but not all dogs behave exactly as you might expect them to behave. Some dogs may act very different from how you would expect them to act based on their own personalities, but some dogs will follow your every move just like our pets. The fact that we are able to communicate with our canine companions in such a way means that we must be very careful with their behavior . This doesn’t mean that we need to teach them how to behave like humans (although I hope for those who practice human-dog interaction), but instead we need to be aware that these dogs want what we want for different reasons than what is considered culturally normal or instinctual for us humans . We must learn this technology ourselves through our interactions with each other and by experiencing the world through its eyes — whether they be our pet or someone else's — before they will become part of our world in any significant way . It seems clear that we live in an increasingly connected world where social media and technological advancements have allowed us connect with one another in ways never before possible. Social media has also allowed us to achieve levels of connectivity beyond anything humans ever dreamed of previously — the internet itself is a technology built around connectivity , and thus has made human connection possible through communication on an unprecedented scale . But despite all this progress, we still find ourselves interacting with one another in ways that were once unimaginable , such as when an individual reaches out on Twitter for advice from somebody else . Humans may now interact via mobile apps or email , but how often do we actually interact face-to-face? We're losing touch post-modern society .
2. Why You Shouldn't Be Surprised When Your Dog Follows You Everywhere
But why do dogs follow us everywhere? The answer, in a word, is curiosity. Dogs are pack animals. They like to be in groups. And they love to chase their own shadows. What they don’t like is being left out of the group. How you respond to that situation is what makes your dog the dog he or she is. We can’t help but notice that when we’re playing with our children and our best friends, we see them immediately taking on a new role as protector or leader. When we’re playing with our dogs, something interesting happens: the dog assumes a new role as a participant in the game and takes charge of how it goes from there on out. You might not realize it now, but there are times when you will want to lead your dog through life because he or she has been given permission to take charge; to be the master of his or her destiny (a term I picked up from the author of this article). In fact, it was only about six months ago that my wife decided that she would job share with me instead of having another baby right away after having an emergency c-section (her doctor said “she would not have been able to carry this baby all by herself"). We were both moved by her decision because we realized that she wasn't giving up her independence for me (or anybody else) — she was giving herself back into my care and control — giving us control over where we spent our time and how she spent her days. She said "it's an option and I know it's not what you want but if you need me I'm ready." It was a simple choice between two choices and one day she told me "I'm going back to work", which meant something completely different for her than leaving work early for our daughter's soccer game (which was also on her schedule). And again, I wasn't surprised: after all…she had been doing exactly that for years!
3. Why Dogs Always Want Attention
Dogs don’t like to be left alone. Their instinct to care for us is why they follow us everywhere. When we walk on our own, they’re quiet, but when we look back at them, they’re following us. They also wouldn’t follow if we were holding a phone in front of them … so I suppose that explains why dogs always want attention. It would be an understatement to say that dogs have a very high appetite for attention, and it is the main reason that many of these dogs are highly visible in public places, such as the streets and parks where people often see them. They have an uncanny ability to recognize us from the first moment we see them. Most people don’t know what this means until they observe it themselves; however, it can be observed in many different ways: Dogs are very good at recognizing each other from a distance . . . and almost always from up close. Most other creatures have trouble because their eyesight is poor or their vision is limited by the size of their heads or by the shape of the face they wear over their eyes (it is so hard for most dogs to look straight forward without moving their heads up and down a lot). But dogs can’t help it; there just isn’t enough room in their faces for any other way to see what’s going on around them! Plus, as a dog owner you will notice that your dog is also very good at recognizing you from far away — though not quite as good as your cat, who can spot you 100 yards away (and often more) — but still pretty darn good! Your dog will constantly look back at you when you walk past him or her . . . even if he or she doesn’t see anything interesting!
