Hey guys! I know I haven't been active for a while but tbh I got tired of playing sims :C I kinda went back into playing them lately but I just can't make myself film anything, sorry 😥
I enjoy playing many games and I kinda regret starting a sims only channel, so maybe in the future I'll make some other playthroughs, since my channel is still kinda empty I feel like it wouldn't be a big deal to expand it into other games.
As it stands this tumblr is currently dormant. I may come back to it someday, but I felt it important to let the few of you here know ❤

Hey you! I'm on a tiny break from creating right now since I'm on vacation and really want to have some me time 😄
I know it sounds ridiculous since I don't really upload that often but I also have a full time job so this has been a long awaited break for me 😁

I fixed it, for now at least
Not sure which fix exactly did it for me, but here’s what I’ve tried before testing the game one final time:
- Redownloaded the lighting mod I use
- Right click on Sims2EP9.exe -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Disable fullscreen optimizations -> Change high DPI settings -> Override high DPI scaling and select Application from the drop down menu
Stuff I tried beforehand that didn’t seem to work after testing, but might have contributed to the fix (listed in the order I’ve done it):
- Used Graphics Rules Maker
- Downloaded soft shadows by Lazy Duchess
- Restored original Sims2EP9.exe, reapplied the No-CD patch and 4GB patch (as shown in this guide)
- CFF explorer fix
- Enhanced NVIDIA graphics (I believe this can also be done on radeon with RadeonPRO)
- Deleted Accessory.cache, Groups.cache and everything in the Thumbnails folder (Located in Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection)
Hope this helps to anyone suddenly having pink soup in their game!
I finally have a day off work which means spending it all on fixing my sims 2 game. I still have no clue what might have caused it to go all pink soup on me, but it doesn’t look like it was caused by a mod.
What I’ve already tried doing:

- Reapplying the 4GB patch
- Reapplying the firstborn syndrome fix
- Reinstalling story progression
- Updating graphics card
What I’m still planning to do:
- Testing game without any mods
- Reinstalling reshade
- Updating windows
- Removing firstborn syndrome fix or installing a different version
If nothing works, I guess I’ll have to reinstall the game, which is the last resort since it will take me a long time to set it up.
If you had a similar problem, what fixed it for you?
If I find a solution, I will share it in case anyone out there has a similar problem.

I tried to film the new video for friday but my game kept crashing all of a sudden. I don't understand what's causing the issue since I haven't downloaded any new mods lately or tampered with the game files :C I had about 15 crashes in the span of 30 minutes of playing and pink soup which never happened before. My game hasn't crashed once this year.
At the moment I tried applying the 4GB patch again, updating story progression, updating other mods and reapplying the firstborn syndrome fix (it might not be compatible with story progression but it worked all of this time without problems).
The game has been acting weird on my last video too, with sims teleporting into cars and the game speed being stuck on speed 3 on community lots. I just don't get what happened :/
TL;DR my game broke so there might be no new video this week
