I hate hate HATE that everyone was right about feeling overall better by eating healthier. I don't feel bloated all day, I have more energy, my mood has improved... I feel great and it's awful.
I can't stress this enough: if someone does that, they DON'T love you. It doesn't matter if they are family or friends or someone who has been by your side and helped you in the bad moments. They DON'T love you.
We are always careful and aware of people who are there in the good times but let us down in the bad times, but please, please also be aware of the opposite situation. Because it's subtle and hard to notice, but it happens a lot.
Some people love others people misery. They will listen to you when you are feeling awful. They will help you. They will always be there. Hard to get mad at someone like that, right? Well, it depends. What happens on those days when you start feeling better? When you are excited about something. When you feel hopeful. When you feel *gasp* a bit happy. Are they supportive and happy for you? Or do they laugh at you? Tell you that's silly. Or try to make you scared that it will go wrong. Or intentionally give you the worst advice possible.
Don't ask me why that happens, but there are a lot of mysery lovers out there. They DON'T love you. They don't want you feeling well and you don't want them around. This might be hard to hear, specially we are talking about loved ones. But they DON'T love you.
getting made fun of for being excited about something is one of the worst feelings ever
