Mt. Guiting-Guiting and Bonbon Beach, Romblon
Mount Guiting-Guiting (also known as G2) is a mountain located at the heart of Sibuyan Island, one of the seven islands of Romblon Province in the Philippines. Guiting-Guiting, in the local Romblomanon dialect, means "jagged". Though the length and duration of the climb is relatively shorter, two days to climb up and one day to descend, this mountain is still acknowledged as the most difficult and technically challenging Philippine mountain to climb, alongside Mount Halcon in Mindoro and Mount Mantalingajan in Palawan. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Guiting-Guiting

Mount Apo, Highest peak in the Pihilippines
Mount Apo is a large solfataric, potentially active stratovolcano in the island of Mindanao, Philippines. With an elevation of 2,954 metres (9,692 ft) above sea level, it is the highest mountain in the Philippine Archipelago and is located between Davao City and Davao del Sur province in Region XI and Cotabato province in Region XII. The peak overlooks Davao City 45 kilometres (28 mi) to the northeast, Digos City 25 kilometres (16 mi) to the southeast, and Kidapawan City 20 kilometres (12 mi) to the west. The first two attempts to reach Mt. Apo’s summit ended in failure: that of Jose Oyanguren (1852) and Señor Real (1870). The first recorded successful expedition was led by Don Joaquin Rajal in October 10, 1880. Prior to the climb, Rajal had to secure the permission of the Bagobo chieftain, Datu Manig. It is said that the Datu demanded that human sacrifice be made to please the god Mandarangan. Fortunately, the datu agreed to waive this demand, and the climb commenced on October 6, 1880, succeeding five days later. Since then, numerous expeditions followed. These and more are described in colorful narrations by Fr. Miguel Bernad, S.J. On May 9, 1936, Mount Apo was declared a national park by President Manuel L. Quezon. A note on the etymologies: Mt. Apo is said to be named after a nobleman named Apong, who was killed while mediating the battle between two suitors of his daughter Saribu. Another proposed origin of the name is from the word Apo itself, which in Filipino tongues means “master” or “grandson." https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Apo

Mount Kanlaon, an active volcano.
Kanlaon Volcano, also spelled as Kanla-on or Canlaon, is an active volcano on Negros island in central Philippines. The stratovolcano straddles the provinces of Negros Occidental and Negros Oriental, approximately 30 km (19 mi) southeast of Bacolod, the capital and most populous city of Negros Occidental. The volcano is a favorite spot for mountain climbers and is the centerpiece of Mount Kanlaon Natural Park, a national park originally established on August 8, 1934. It is one of the active volcanoes in the Philippines and part of the Pacific ring of fire. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kanlaon_Volcano

Preservation
Our planet is special since its the only living planet in the milky way. It gives us everything we need yet we abuse this planet. Lands and their natural resources should not be consumed by humans and should instead be maintained in their pristine form. One way is for humans to have access to the land, but only utilize it for its natural beauty and inspiration. Use compact fluorescent light bulbs, they save more energy and last much longer than other light bulbs. Make it a habit to stop using electronic devices always and go outside to cherish whats left of this world before its all gone. That little thing you do to help save this world could be an endless ripple effect that could encourage others to do the same.

“We live in this planet like we have another one to go to.”
Tumblr media
Our world is so important. It is probably the only planet in the whole universe with life. We must be very lucky to be part of the 7billion+ people living. If all of us still want to live and give the future generations the nature our generation has seen then we should continue to take care of our planet. Save the trees, Stop the illegal loggers and dynamite fishers. Our world will probably the first and last of the human race to savor.
