Theyre really good workbuddies for a good while before Orion ends up being sent closer to the King's presence for his shifts. Martlet found him to be a bit strict and blunt at first which left a bit of tension, but over time Orion managed to let a /little/ more loose around her. He's probably what keeps her going during the harder parts of her job and manages to talk more sense into her when she overthinks. I like to imagine that when theyre not on shift they actually do go out of their way to spend time (Martlet probably getting him to do activities he wouldnt normally do)

They fit pretty neatly into the stoic + silly duo trope

As for weed....Ill be real i cant imagine orion smoking canonically funny enough. Probably would go into coughing fits trying to.

Initially Clover was gonna be held for ransom since human souls are very valuable to the king, but the feisty 4 didn't really like how Clover was getting special treatment and starlo kept stalling instead of going through with their plan. They just kinda get fed up
