Hmmm…
Frankly indescribable how difficult attending university is when you’re disabled tbh .
Even with a laundry list of accommodations and hundreds of dollars in mobility/other aids, I can hardly keep my head above the water, and my pain and fatigue is off the charts.
Anyways ,, if you’re able-bodied and use resources deliberately put in place/necessary for physically disabled students you actually suck soooo hard and I promise you’re making someone’s already impossible day even more difficult.
Cut it out!

Eeee i’m looking into going to field school this spring through my Uni as the site is fairly local (6hr drive) this year so travel cost is low (dirt broke).
Feeling incredibly terrified ! and the price is unrealistic on such short notice but I’ve been feeling ambitious after recently finding a lot of resources about disabled archaeologists :S
I have mobility & spine issues, fibromyalgia, POTS and chronic migraines so definitely worried that it’s going to be hell on my body but trying to be very upfront about what I need?!
It’s only 2 weeks with little to no excavation or long surveys (GRP training) so it feels more realistic than something international or typical excavation.
Shot in the dark but if anyone has experience with disabled archaeology/field school would love any insight <3

Being chronically ill and needing to exercise so I can keep my body from giving out completely is such fucking bullshit. Yeah yoga and weights really help my stiffness and nerves feel better but I really wanna rest so I'm not so fucking tired all the time.
