I was wondering if it’s normal (for you at least) for each headmate to have different handwritings/art styles, cuz from what I can tell it is and i guess that’s just another reason I doubt myself on it a lot because mine is always rather consistent. sometimes my art style is more sketch-y and my handwriting messy because i do it more quickly and unfocused, which usually happens with one of my aforementioned “vibes” (potential alter if i am in fact plural), but it still isn’t quite… different enough, I guess? I was just wondering how that usually works for you.

also, unrelated, but i have been giving simplyplural a try, but I usually forget to actually use it. my usage of my notes app to keep track of how im feeling is more consistent, however :)

so, our handwriting changes, but not between alters! (at least, not from what we’ve observed regarding those correlations.) it simply changes at random. the same can be said for our art style — it’s inconsistent, but not on a plurality basis.

this may be the case for some systems, but from what we’ve heard, many systems have extremely similar styles of writing/drawing between alters. it’s not something to worry yourself about, that’s to be certain!

we’re glad to hear you’ve given simplyplural as well as the tried and true notes app a try! it can be nerve-wracking to use those resources for the first time, but as you grow more used to them you can use it to determine whether or not you’re comfortable to label yourself as a system.
