no lie i genuinely believe brands are so behind the pleather movement bc they can just buy cheap plastic sell it as expensive 'vegan leather' and be ready for you to return in a couple years to buy another 'vegan peeta approved™ leather jacket' bc they last like 5 minutes compared to the way leather lasts decades all the while you can pat yourself and coorporate's back for being sutainable all the while pvc (what some fake leather products are made of) has been labeled the single most environmentally damaging type of plastic and while there are non pvc fake leathers such as pu leather... its not like thats much better producing plastic pollutes and the second your pleather clothes start to breakdown (which happens much faster than you think) theyll wound up on landfills for at least a 100 years...

What would you say would be your best advice on getting started with commissions? I’ve heard there are some issues with PayPal with art theft and legal issues so I wanted your opinion on it.

OK so this is a tough question to answer for me because I’m very inconsistent with commission openings BUT PayPal is pretty decent from my experience, the only sucky thing is that PayPal with side with the customer if they lie and say you scammed them but I think I’ve only ever heard of this happening once amongst people I know (not saying it doesn’t happen, but I’d say as long as you’re careful it’s pretty rare). As far as legality I have no clue about any issues with that 👍 I have and still use PayPal for all my commission transactions but many of them are thru kofi!

SO. Honestly I’d set up thru kofi if I were you if you’re really nervous about it. From my experiences it’s been the safest way as a seller to do commission transactions. I can help u set one up personally too, if you’d like ^-^ (cause you have my discord lol)

Otherwise as far as advertising I’d say setting up a commission + prices + ToS sheet is ur first step, and from there I will sometimes put in my bio or handle that my commissions are open and put it in the caption of every post while they’re open! It’s also helpful to let people know how many slots r available if you do slots!

I’m no expert as I’m very inconsistent with posting commission ads + opening comms etc but this has been my overall experience + 2 cents 👍

It’s not something I can talk about on my main platforms a lot because of interpersonal friendships/relationships, but I feel like I’ve finally healed.

It’s something that eases a part of my soul to talk about, I feel at peace finally. Finding someone who has not only treated me right but actively participates in my life and has shown a willingness to go out of their way to meet & be a part of my family has soothed old wounds and helped me thrive again. I don’t feel bitter resentment or anger anymore, the memories of my ex are fleeting and distant and it feels more like a nasty dream than something that truly hurt me. I genuinely have felt safer and more comfortable than ever before in my life or any previous relationship.

Getting borderline cheated on (although it’s a complicated issue) by my ex leaves nasty scars that are hard to shake. But I feel like I can finally sleep knowing I’m loved, and knowing even being long distance things will be okay. That there is a future waiting for me, but I don’t have to fear it anymore. Long story short I love my boyfriend more than anything in the world and finally feel as though life has had mercy on me. This is what love feels like.
