So, I watched the finale for The Ghost and Molly McGee and overall, I enjoyed it. Just wanted to share a few thoughts I had about the episode.
*Spoilers*
I liked that they finally confirmed that Scratch and Todd were the same person.
(It was also cool that they decided to give human Scratch a Hawaiian shirt too, lol. 馃槃)
Not gonna lie, the scene with Scratch becoming a wraith got me a little choked up.
Did Adia never visit Todd in Brighton once since she moved away? I mean I feel really bad for her that she wanted to share her adventures with Scratch/Todd only to keep getting stood up, but I also feel bad that Scratch/Todd ended up viewing his life as completely worthless because he wasn't comfortable being adventurous and spontaneous and felt left behind. Of course, I know the point is that Scratch/Todd let fear dictate his life and never allowed himself to live, but it's kind of sad those two never found a way to compromise and spend time together in a way they were both comfortable with.
Scratch/Todd losing his memories at the end was bit of a downer for me, though I am kind of impressed it actually stuck (mostly).
Speaking of which: Why doesn't Scratch/Todd remember the McGees at all? I mean yeah it makes sense that as a human he would no longer remember his time with them as a ghost, but Todd had met the McGees MULTIPLE TIMES! Heck at the beginning of this episode, the mayor even presents Molly with an award in front of the whole town. It wasn't implied that Todd/Scratch has lost his human memories from the time he was soulless, so even if he wouldn't remember their connection, he should still know who the McGees are (at least enough to know their names when he runs into them on the street).
In fact he was acting so oblivious it makes me wonder if he really does remember everything and was just pretending. 馃
That ending song was a bop though, I hope they make an extended version.
Just wanted to say I adore your art, and love how you draw Stan, my blorbo 馃ス It makes my heart explode just a tad. And I'm ridiculously shy to shit, so my awkward self really loves your stuff to say it outright. I'm going to go shivel up in embarrassment now.
Thanks so much! That鈥檚 very kind of you to say! I鈥檓 glad you鈥檝e enjoyed it! 馃槃
Made this forever ago as part of an animation project I'm still working on, but in honor of the Stan twins' birthday I figured I'd post it today. Hope you like it!
Just something I did for fun. I was watching a bunch of Steven Universe videos where people edited out Garnet's visor, so I decided to do something similar and edited out Stan's glasses and fez from this clip.
