We see time and time again that Andrew says he doesn't care about anything and that he always looks bored.

Well after rereading Nicky's conversation with Neil in the library in TRK, I just realized this all not caring attitude is kinda Andrew's coping mechanism. Like he cared about Aaron, and Aaron was mad at him for what he did. Didn't even try to understand him. Andrew cared about Cass and then everything with Drake happened. Andrew cared about Nicky then what he got in return was 3 years of crazy medicine.

Andrew has never gained anything good for caring about others so now he's trying to stop caring alltogether. Yk how they say if you stop expecting good stuff to happen, then you won't be disappointed at the end? That's what Andrew's doing.

Except he didn't anticipate a certain Mr. NEIL Abram Josten👀

I need more fanart representation of Jean's absolutely horrendous hair in TSC. At the start of the book there are patches torn out and by the time he gets to California it's grown in a bit but is visibly patchy to the point Cat asks if he cut it himself and he never gets it trimmed in the rest of the book so it would just continue to be awful and uneven for that time. In a few weeks hair can grow about an inch so that would be the length of the shorter areas while the longer ones would be a normal length plus an inch to account for the fact that pre-attack Jean had a normal haircut, presumably.

in aftg, neil is so focused on riko coming down with his racket to hit him that it seems like andrew comes out of no where to save him but i love that jean sees it. and it’s not like he just moves out of goal or anything, no, he HAULS ASS to get to neil to save him. that to me says everything. i love them so bad
