Got bored so I decided to give Charizard some competitive junk on the bottom of the blog! (They're probably my favorite of the starter designs, so they get special priority.) I might do this with the other starters (and other future Pokémon of course), but I'm pretty bad at competitive stuff so don't count it right meow
Alright, here's the actual Pokémon I wish to talk to about. I hope you all didn't mind the little April Fools joke!
After enough research into both the history of Onla and comparing DNA samples of a Kalosian Charizard and other Charizards, I believe I've gathered enough existence to suggest the idea of a now extinct regional Charizard, similar to the Torterra I previously theorized about.
Onlan Charizard (Fire/Poison)
Evolved from Charmeleon at Level 34
Tumblr media
Many Pokémon were used during the Great War, but none were quite as deadly as poison type Pokémon. Other Pokémon were simply killed or destroyed, while these were able to infect its victims. Thankfully, heavy usage of poison Pokémon in warfare has since been banned, but this wasn't the case 3,000 years ago. Although many humans and Pokémon ended up perishing from the fumes, I believe certain Pokémon... adapted.
Compared to the mighty Charizard of the present, I believe this Charizard was far more frail. Its thin, almost serpent-like body is the result of a powerful toxin that ran through its body like blood. Although this poison likely made its fire even more deadly than before, the effects on its health can not be understated. I can't even find evidence of Charizard ever being able to fly, implying the evolution either weakened or even outright removed its wings. I've seen conflicting sources of both.
Using old sketches I found inside journals and books from the war times, I was able to contact an artist to make a drawing of what this Pokémon likely looked like. He was a pleasure to work with! I have a newfound appreciation of Gulpins from the experience...
With this discovery, I'm now confident that a regional Primarina had once existed as well. I'm putting full effort into proving it was real! Although working by myself can be tiring, I'm fully dedicated to my work!
Art made by @notwerewolf! This drawing turned out super sick, I'm extremely happy with how it turned out! Please check him out if you get the chance!

When I first started my journey I met this guy who was being an asshole to a newly evolved Skitty because it wasn't strong enough for him or something so I attacked him and took the skitty and jumped regions. Unrelated btw but did you know people in Paldea buy that Skitty's a regional variant of Sprigatito?
why do you keep calling your evolved delcatty a skitty

sick of other trans people looking like a deer in the headlights when reminded that amabs can be nb too. there are really still people in our own community who think a nonbinary person is like. a woman wearing jeans
i've had people treat me visibly different after hearing my voice or seeing my face as if i'm some sort of predator or interloper. this attitude towards amab trans people especially nonbinary people really paints a picture of what the lgbt community thinks of gender in general

After enough digging, I've finally gathered enough information about a plausible Onlan Primarina, finishing the trio of starter Pokémon.
With the previous Pokémon, I've discovered how they managed to adapt to the new culture of Onla in order to survive. However, this Pokémon is an unfortunate example of one being unable to. Primarina strives best in warm environments with lots of water to swim in. It was already going to struggle with the cooler temperatures of the region, but engaging in land-based warfare was what caused the high death count that many records have written. But that wasn't where the papers ended.
Onlan Primarina (Water/Ghost)
Evolved from Brionne at Level 34
Tumblr media
Further digging caused me to unearth several stories of Primarina's inability to move on with death. Details were always sparse, but they described it lounging at the coast side, singing out loud as it bathed itself in the waters nearby. I've found little describing its appearance, as most of the recovered documents end right after they mention going to investigate it. Only one source was written by someone who survived an encounter, a journal belonging to a chef of all people.
All he was able to write about its body was how it shimmered with a red flare, almost as if its own anger manifested on its body. He also mentioned that it attacked with ferocious speed once he got too close. It was only with the bombardments of his Clawitzer that he managed to escape it.
Art drawn by @/YanpaiArt on Twitter! I'm happy he was so patient with me haha, since this drawing turned out really great! If you also want art like this, I really recommend checking him out, especially since he has commissions open at the moment.
As I mentioned in my previous post, I've been gathering this information from old documents, which many haven't bothered to skim through. Death records, personal journals, and more. However, a recent book I've uncovered described far more than just Primarina. It seems to be a work-in-progress documentation of the Pokémon in the region, almost like a prototype Pokédex. Not only does this seem to be the oldest Pokédex ever discovered (being thousands of years older than the recently recovered Hisui dex!), but the information inside it hints at the possibility of several other regional forms and evolutions!
Of course, one book isn't enough to prove the existence of said Pokémon. However, it does mean I have a lot more work ahead of me. That being said, researching these three Pokémon has already been stressful enough. I don't think I can tackle all of this alone. (Especially the fieldwork, I hate leaving the house.)
That's why I've decided to open up two job slots! I'm currently just looking for somebody to handle fieldwork as well as somebody to assist with research. I unfortunately can't promise that the pay will be extremely great, but you can live in my lab without needing to pay for rent! If this sounds like something you'd wish to do, I've opened up a form that you can fill out with your information! I'll be reviewing each application with extreme care.

Hello, I would like to apologize for being so excited. My fingers are shaking as I type this, but I believe I've uncovered enough evidence to hint at the fact of an Onlan Primarina.
This alone wouldn't be a huge deal, but a document I recently recovered found also hinted at several other possible regional forms and evolutions that have since been lost to time. I don't wish to reveal them at the moment in case if they end up being loose ends, but it at least means I should begin writing a draft-dex for Primarina.
I have so much work I need to do and so much I need to prove. To anybody who's been following this blog, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I know progress has been slow, but I truly believe in this research.
Please be patient for just a bit longer. I'll try to finish the document for Primarina as soon as possible. There's also more information I wish to share as well. Again, thank you so much!

No, I think he just wanted to be mean!

At last, I've discovered a new Pokémon! Not only is this a never before seen regional form, but it's one that I believe still exists today!
Onlan Fidough
No previous stages
Tumblr media
Unfortunately I accidentally spent all my funding on a new smoothie machine, but drawing still looks good, rignt?
Onlan Fidough, also known as Fidoooooooooooough, seems to be extremely powerful. Even Legendary Pokémon bow-wow down to its delicious will. It will completely ruin the competitive Pokémon meta.
@pokemon plz confirm
I'm abandoning this blog, I've peaked with Fidoooooooooooough

Hello again! It's been a while since I've posted on this account! Unfortunately, I haven't discovered much of anything yet. While I have a few hypotheses, they're stuck as that for now.
However, the last thing I'd want to do is leave you all in the dark. While I won't confirm anything yet, my theory on the existence of a now-extinct regional Torterra has led me into researching the possibility of a regional Charizard and Primarina as well. To gather more information on the first one, I spent a day studying ex-champion Calem's Charizard! (Thank you again to Professor Sycamore, my mentor, for helping me contact him!)
Tumblr media
I figured that you all might enjoy this goofy picture I took of him. Thank you all for the support you've shown so far!
As one final note, another reminder that my ask box is open, in case if you have any questions about Onla or about myself! I can't answer everything, but I'll try what I can.

I hope you've all been enjoying the new Fakemon reveal! I'm pretty proud of Onlan Torterra's design, personally. The artist, Aurora, posted the drawing on her Twitter today, so I figured the best way to celebrate would be by posting a thread explaining the design philosophy behind the regional form.
If you wish to read it, here is the thread!
As a final reminder, I do have an ask box that is constantly open! If you have any questions for Berry and I, whether it's about the region or us, feel free to ask away!
